I'll be down to practice with you anytime Nion. There's $3 casuals every Wednesday afternoon at The Gaming Zone should you want to drop by. I'm always there to teach the Bedman matchup. There's also the Bi-Weeklies that were happening at UAT for EVO prep, but with EVO at the door, I don't know the current status of that.

I have only ever played one other match-up as frustrating as this, and I still hate the feeling. Compounding all of the things here, i'm still having a difficult time. Essentially if i'm reading this correctly, there are 4 rules to fighting Chipp: 1- Know how to block his crapp 2- Be liberal in meter usage to get Chipp off of you 3- Don't throw out Tasks/DJVs predictably or too close or they'll get punished for free 4- If you get the hit, do everything in your power to turn it into a one player game. As a general overview, does this sound on track? I mean, this should apply to any matchup (aside from 2 and 3 on occasion), but this match in particular should go like this, right?

I'll be online all week after work if anyone wants to join me in some games. I usually hop on at about 5 if you're down for some games. Come at me! I need the practice!

I don't know about you all, but I'm staying on that GG kick. On a side note, the folks who did "Guilty Bits" are doing a Melty Blood edition of the series. Hype?

I wish I had that map saved somewhere. It was scarily accurate at the time.

I remember seeing some map made by someone, knowing GCYoshi it was probably him, and we got labeled as the Melty Blood state. Take that as you will. :x

I honestly doubt this is going to be fixed any time soon, if at all. I only think this since it's because of the current system they have in place. As per the usual when it comes to games in general, if they go in to try and fix this then odds are another hole will open up somewhere unwanted. I have a feeling that ASW will let it rock (heh) and try to find a way to fix it if it seems too broken, like how they handled Kokonoe in BB. Putting this back on topic though: I've been in practice for a good hour trying out all of his moves in differing situations, but I can't find a good use for the OS tech for Bedman. You can maybe use it to wakeup Sinusoidal Helios safely, but that's the only reasonable option i've found with him since he has a lack of invincibility on everything. Edit: actually, does Bedman have I.Frames on Task C? I'm not the best with reading frame data to tell. Experience tells me no, but I might be wrong or just using it poorly outside of combos.

Anyone want to pair up for the EVO team tourney for Xrd? I've decided i'm going to join in if I can get a team.

Are we missing any characters in the roster for Guilty Gear in the state for people that play? I was playing around with the thought of doing a basic run-through of one or two of the characters we don't have so we can account for any missing matchups we may not see too often.

Just noticed something about Jack's in-battle screenshot. The minions have the same weapons as the pumpkins she lays out. Mini-Faust now has rivals.

@Ryd, my thought process wasn't necessarily that money should be the driving factor to learn the game, more a question as to why one would not be willing to bet on themselves to win. No game, or anything for that matter, should be done with the sole intention of getting paid. It ends up just making things terrible.

I was never around for Haz, but I hear what you're saying. I was just curious as to where the discdiscrepancy between activity here and entries at the ranbats was coming from. I hope folks here are at least going to EVO.

@Dipstick & Rath, im gonna chime in a bit so it a not just less a one sided quiz-a-thon and more an open discussion. The small size and lack of control portion I can get since there's always a lot of people that play the other games so they need the stations, and it wouldnt interest some unless one plays the other featured games. What I question now is what's so bad about a venue fee? Would it not be arguable that the whole point of it is that you're betting on yourself to get first place and get your money back? The tourney fee (to me) is a driving force to get better so I don't lose out on that money. The venue fee is more just support of the brand so they can get that bigger area with more space. I've heard rumor that they're looking into a slightly larger location to accommodate just how many people come in for smash, SF, and just fighting games in general.

And im reminded why the name of this group is what it is.

Oh, and does anyone here play that I can play against at some point? This is one of my worst personal match-ups and I can't seem to find reliable ways around her Dolphin and Ball crap without taking huge risks.

Yeah, that was Diego who was commentating with me at the time. My commentary could do with some improvement, but i'm working on it. Quick question that's I've been interested in for a while now: Why are folks here so averted to making use of TGZ as a venue? I've been missing something, because it seems to me that i'm one of the very few here with no outstanding issue with it. o.o
