"Nostalgic" and "Bored" Yes. That's what we call it nowadays. -
I use that a lot. It gets you up close and is both plus and invincible for a few frames, but it doesn't really help in the locking down of the opponent. Hemi Jack may come out, but there's no guaranteed way to land it. This is especially if the opponent knows this and disrespects your setup or throws you for being too close.
-
Someone tell that to Zato. But yeah, I've been working on specifically this for half a month and there's nothing I find that can turn it into a guaranteed unblockable. Maybe that dropped speed buff to Hemi Jack from the 1.1 loc tests might be helped, but who knows.

"Yo. Where my waifus, otakus, weaboos and w/e you call em at? IDK... but I know where they should be! The new AZ Regional because GUILTY GEAR IS NOW ON THE OFFICIAL GAME LIST. REGISTER NOW." --Driftwood We're live as an officially recognized side tournament! So, let's do what we can to not have this flop. Sign-ups are available on the main site right now. I'll look further into communications and stuff, but I'm gonna stream for a bit then get right back in it. -

For those of you in AZ (or folks from out of state who are going to attend), if you plan on going to Rewired could you please answer this survey? It would greatly assist with getting the GG, UNIEL, etc. tournaments up and running. Just need it to get a general feel of what supply we have to try and get this going. If we're trying to get more than AZ people in here for this tournament, 2 months is understandably a bit of a tight squeeze depending on the state, but it'd be appreciated if we got a response. http://goo.gl/e8xogT <--- Thank you Bearell for making this. Laaaame. I mean It's good that they're on top of things, but I wanted some time to play a broken version of Byakuya. D:

I'd imagine so. I think I might have just been getting excited about the final result of this. I need to grind through the prior steps in order for what I see in my mind to happen. I'm gonna keep working on it to see if I can make a more guaranteed Hemi Jack setup. That's why I'm saying false alarm for now. I assume the reason why I was having such a hard time explaining is that I'm missing a major something to make this work. What that something is, I'm working on.
-
After thinking it through, GCYoshi is actually on point with what I was trying to convey. No stream necessary to explain anymore, but i'm doing it regardless. The breakthrough of DJVA' turning recovery frames to invincibility frames was something I remember we found about a week or two before EVO. All I really did on revisiting it is that RCing is not necessary as you're usually at a safe distance anyway if you're even considering trying to attempt this. This come coupled with the fact that the DJV activations are quick as is so they don't really require RC to do the DJVA'>Hemi Jack thing. RC is only really useful if you see that the DJVA' didn't connect for any reason. The main thing that needs to be worked on more than anything is just a set-up to have it occur when you want to or with just very few holes in the setup to exploit, none if possible. False alarm folks, go home. nothing to see here. D:
-
That second part is right on the money. I'll just show you tomorrow. You don't need to RC at all.
-
I stream every Friday at 5pm MST on Twitch if anyone wants to see what I mean. I don't mean for this to be a stream bump, but I'll do everything I can to explain to those that come over, as many times as necessary for those that aren't there right at the beginning of the stream. It's a very simple setup in action and only takes a moment or two to explain, but I'm not very good at explaining frame data and stuff. :/

Bedman Q&A/FAQ thread: People play this guy I swear!
TagAnarchy replied to Poultrygeist's topic in Bedman
I think a lot of it is training your opponent to respect it and not using it all too often in neutral. Use it too often, and they'll start to learn the setup and find holes in it to exploit. -
the more and more I try to find a proper way to explain this, the more I find how odd it is and difficult to explain. I seem to have success cliffnoting my thoughts, so I'll do that. This might get confusing regardless. DJVA'> Overdrive Synopsis -Connecting DJVA', hit or block, forces overdrive to completion through recovery frames -Sounds unsafe, but all Recovery Frames become Invincibility Frames ---Example Hemi Jack's frame data (as an example) looks like this [SSSSSRRRRRRRRRR] --- If DJVA' connects during the 4th recovery frame in my example it becomes [SSSSSRRRIIIIIII]+Teleport This also works with Sinusoidal Helios without removing the active frames of that move. The only issue i'm having is finding a guaranteed way to incorporate Task A' into a combo or setup to get the proper DJV mark. I'm trying to make a demo video, but I'm not satisfied with what i'm coming up with. It's not even me being nitpicky this time. It's one of those things i'd have to show you live just to answer any questions immediately or test things out. This is the worst. Even if I understand how something works, games or otherwise, I always have a tough time explaining so it makes sense to others. I feel like i'm onto something, but it's just beyond my grasp. D:

I have no issue with Project M, don't get me wrong. I'm just miffed there's no airdash rep. Again, that's where we just have to make ourselves more noticable. I'll keep up with Nick(Dirftwood) and see what would need to be done. He stated that more info on setting up side tournaments is coming soon, so I'll keep you guys updated with that. You always have me to act as liaison since i'm at TGZ/Facebook all the time and see the folks there frequently enough. -

Looks like Driftwood is trying to carry the majority of this on his back. I give him props for not trying to do too many games at once though for the first big AZ event since that old major I don't remember the name of. Doesn't mean i'm any less heated about Xrd not being in but Project M being main, but we just have to make our voices louder. How we go about doing that, i'm thinking of right now. -

I'd offer to stream the airdash stuff easily, but I don't have a car to carry my computer nor do I have any sound equipment outside of a singular microphone. :x But yeah, it does kind of sting. Side tourney info will be dropping soon, so i'll keep watch over it. https://www.rewiredaz.com/ <--- Link if you wanted it. -
The one I recommend over all else is knockdown> DJV B or C >DJV A' >Hemi Jack. The most important part about this is DJV A'>Hemi Jack. Hemi Jack's super freeze is actually long lasting enough to have the DJV go at least half screen. Since the opponent is frozen and the phantom still moves, it'll always connect during super freeze. I'll make a short video on this when I get home because this is something that needs to be seen. Explaining can only do so much for this for imagery of this odd combo. ...that and I'm on lunch at work, so I'm in a rush to type this. :p

http://shoryuken.com/2015/08/26/a-b-a-zappa-fanny-arc-system-works-reveals-guilty-gear-xrd-revelator-fan-vote-ballot/ Thoughts, comments, crushed dreams for Leopaldon's magnificent return? D: I'm looking at HOS on this list and it still amazes me that they decided that Sol's badass factor is so strong that he could kill his younger self, yet still exist because he felt like it. I'd vote HOS for Lina's sake. I want to see her play again. -
Don't know how useful this is, but I found something odd about Bedman's airdash. Not too long ago, someone in here figured some more uses for 88x>FD. To expand on this, i've found that if you 88>7FD, by holding the FD Bedman will still hang while still "blocking". Im actually messing with this as I'm typing this up, so i'm gonna bullet point my findings. +88>[7FD] keeps bedman stationary for about half a second before doing a short 7 hop back +[4FD] and [1FD] doesn't provide the same hang that [7FD] does, only lasting a fraction of a second, but allows for a faster descent to the ground. +Same as any 88x>FD, throws can be executed. +Releasing the 7FD before using up ~10% tension will keep Bedman in his hang, ready to continue his dash from there. +88x>FD in any direction will have Bedman keep his horizontal momentum while instantly losing his float. +If he's hit while FD Hanging, he'll block while falling like a rock. I imagine this might have some usage in potential advanced combo routes in regards to the loss of float, but here's what i've found so far. Hope this helped and hasn't already been posted. :x

Don't worry, nobody reads past half the first post before skipping to the most recent page. It's like trying to explore an ancient crypt.... Anyway, welcome to AZ! If you're reading this, that means you've went a full day without melting in the heat. Congrats! :p Anyway, like Rath said above, there's monthlies that are about to start back up at UAT that we'd all be more than happy to see you come out. More competition & folks to chill with are always welcome. Along with that, there's also weekly casuals that go on at one of the AZ FGC hubs "The Gaming Zone" from 5pm-close. Just to tell you up front, there is a $3 cover for the night, although it covers the whole night. Quick note: the forum has gotten a tad quieter since the majority of us are using the Line app for communication. If you have Line, feel free to send any of us you Line ID, and we'll add you to chat. Again, welcome to AZ and I hope we can see you out for something soon. Why not both? I'm sure i'm not the only one who likes more frequent competition. -

Bedman Q&A/FAQ thread: People play this guy I swear!
TagAnarchy replied to Poultrygeist's topic in Bedman
Bedman's movement is kind of iffy since he has no grounded dash and his airdash is particular, so on a basic level that is pretty recommended to learn first. I'll just cliffnote the rest: *On a basic level with his moves, 2K and 5S work as very good pokes that you'll be using a lot. *2P>2S is a frame trap that I've had a lot of success with, especially since 2S can be canceled into sweep (2D) now. *(Task B > Deja Vu B > YRC > 6HS) is one of the best setups that doesn't involve using his airdash mid screen. If you do the 6HS close enough, you'll cross them up letting the Deja Vu hit and giving you time to follow up with whatever. Alternatively, you can do the 6HS from further away so it doesn't cross for the same result if unblocked. -

I get what you mean. I suppose one of the biggest hurdles in learning Bedman getting accustomed to his "airdash" and how to choose which task/Deja Vu to use in a given situation. His starting combos aren't difficult, so worry about movement first.
