  1. Sam will also be streaming the event (assuming we have enough bandwidth to not interfere with SF4 stream). Looks like we're going to be running 5v5's for Arcana and Blazblue!! http://www.twitch.tv/ncsu_fights/ Also look out for Team Anime (which will have me, Sam, Brent, and a couple others) in SF4!!
  2. I don't know if you want a basic explanation of this, or something more in-depth (like how to properly keep track of the puppet for certain hit confirms and such). But I could probably give you a really basic rundown of the puppet. Basically, the Doll is linked to two of your attack buttons, B and C. Meaning if Lies uses a B or C attack, her doll will attack too. The general concept of moving the doll is to use Lies' orbs to direct the puppet. For example, 623A will tell the doll to shoot across the screen and move away from where Lies placed her orb. Or if you use 421A, the doll will shoot across the screen and move toward Lies' orb. She more or less just has a bunch of commands (orbs) that allow her to control space with the doll by moving it. The orb commands can also be stacked. So if you place three 623A orbs (example), the doll will run toward the orb and shoot away from it three times in a row. Also, due to the fact that Lies' Doll also does not auto-turn (it won't face your opponent if your opponent moves behind it).... you have to use certain attacks (or use your orbs) to direct it toward the correct facing position. Having the doll facing the wrong way impacts the direction it attacks as well as movement speed (the doll walks slower if it's going backward). 236A+C puts the doll to sleep (the doll can't attack or move, but also can't be attacked). And 236A will command the doll to go back into Lies' suitcase if you hold the button for long enough. There's more to it than that. But that's about all I know about Lies / the gist of the character controlling the doll.
  3. Oops forgot to specify. I'm not sure what combo Underscore was talking about, but it's most likely the same issue... Corner combo off IOH jA. I'll usually just do IOH jA, jB, dash, 5B, 5CC, 5B, 6A, 236A, 3C. But it doesn't seem to work on Bang? I don't really have an issue with 5B confirms due to extra combo time.... But I can't seem to find a solid corner combo for Bang within the combo time for IOH jA that leads to decent oki (without using wind or sacrificing a lobelia setup or damage).
  4. Thought I'd post up and see if any of you guys wanna come to the SF4/BB/AH3LM/etc session going on in Raleigh this Saturday (the 7th). If any of you are interested, you should go to the Tierless Heroes Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/tierlessheroes/ and rsvp / contact SirTal Rougroses (the host) for the address. It's apparently going to be a pretty big session, and there are supposed to be some new BB (and hopefully AH3LM) players showing up as well. I will be bringing a setup for BB and AH3LM, and I know there are couple others who are confirmed to be bringing a BB setups. But of course the more PS3's / Monitors the better. Hope to see see some of you guys there.
  5. I got this same issue. I'm not sure if there are any other (windless) answers to this, but I always end up having to use extra wind if I want to extend the combo. :/
  6. Can't say for sure, since I haven't played time attack yet. But it probably does.
  7. just beat it with one character and you'll get everyone's.
  8. yeah, it should work online with both, the NA and JP versions of AH3LM. At least that's what most ASW ports usually allow afaik, so it's probably the same case here.
  9. Pretty much what Tigre said. Dustloop is already an established forum, as well as having users that have interest in these games. Since the main goal is to find a strong central hub for these games, there's very little benefit in attempting to move to another forum that gets less traffic than Melty Bread / HomingCancel to begin with.
  10. I think Arcana Heart / Under Night In-Birth forums would be a good idea. Like some already mentioned, there are people on Dustloop who play AH / plan on playing UNIB (and the general fg threads for these games are already pretty active here).
  11. Yeah she retains options, but that doesn't mean she has any advatage over you. As soon as she uses jD, she moves backward away from her opponent (so she's not in a really good position to just start attacking you).. While the gameplan between the two characters may change (due to Litchi now letting go of her staff), you're still very much at neutral.
  12. Relius vs Litchi isn't that bad, he has the tools to deal with the matchup imo. Relatively safe Pressure / Mixup, ability to eat/absorb staff projectile, and he's not restricted to an effective range (he can always get something productive done at neutral, no matter what range he's at). With Litchi's jD, you usually won't be able to do anything advantageous if you block it.. But tbh, unless you get CH / or get air hit, Litchi doesn't really have any real advantage over you either. Just block it and continue playing neutral. This move shouldn't be a deciding factor of this matchup (in terms of losing). At the attack-range that you are referring to, Litchi's jD is pretty much just a tool for checking how committed your opponent is / and opening up some of her other options staffless from the air. Also remember that running away doesn't kill, it's simply gearing the match toward time-management and full-screen neutral. I think if you take your time and keep to good decision making, you'll find the matchup isn't that bad for Relius.
  13. Aw I didn't get to see it in time. D: If you have another PSN lobby, I'll definitely want to join in / play some more games again.
  14. I don't believe so iirc EDIT : I mean, I don't think it's going to be run today
  15. sure thing, we'll play soon! added you on psn.
  16. Been playing this game a lot more lately since the update with Marie Rose came out. If anyone is looking for games, add me on psn (Seventh_Fonon).
  17. Funny you mention that, it actually might not be too far from the truth. I had the same issue as well for the japanese version (fortuantely it worked on my second try). And I remember a friend of mine telling me he had to redownload BBCP several times over just to get it to work. Though I just assumed it was just a coincidence.
  18. Enjoyed hanging out and playing BB with you guys last night.... 82 matches in one sitting. I think that's a record for me. :V
  19. wait so they increased the recovery on 4B[e] as well? I know the list showed only 4B[m], unless it was an unlisted change.
  20. Dale! You coming to AA? See you guys tomorrow.
  21. lmao, I like how Kuroyuhime sounds. Seems like what I was looking for when I saw / wanted to play Tomoka. How would you say the rest of her game is (like mixups and such) now that people are beginning to learn how she plays?
  22. edit: nvmd found it Also yeah, I was surprised not to see Tomoka not in 3. Just the character concept in general seems like it would be very strong in this game.
  23. This one too, but not much better http://climax.wiki.fc2.com/ tomoka shizuo kirino
  24. Pretty sure it's just the characters that have air-dash moves on their movelist. (shana, biribiri, kirino)
  25. Impact Break is 4 A+B is an overhead Overhead Impact skills are A+B and 2A+B is like an armored attack I think?
