  3. I think I'll be there as well (I'll know in a few hours since I might have to head to Raleigh later today anyway). If so, Sam will be coming with me as well.
  4. Here's some stuff to take note of if you want. Most of it won't be very useful info, but it might give you an idea of what to expect... 2A/5A doesn't slide well, jump feels higher, she falls faster (though those are changes for BBCP in general). Forward walk animation has slightly changed (doesn't affect gameplay but just a change new to CP). 4B is nice, though like sG said, it's hard to use as an anti-air. I had the same issue of missing someone with anti air 4B at point blank range last night while playing casuals. :/ As you would expect, if your opponent uses a jumping attack that moves their hurtbox forward, 4B will catch it. At this point, I'm pretty much just using it for combos though as well. jC[e] has changed. It could be the hurtbox or the hitbox or both, but in general it just feels weaker... IAD jC[e] also loses to 5A a lot easier than it ever did in Extend. I've also experienced rare occasions where combos leading into 2C[m] would whiff at certain ranges where it wouldn't have in the last game. The hitbox still feels good though, but something is definitely different, I think it may have to also do with 5B[m] having more pushback in this game (which might have thrown off my spacing). First hit of 5C[m] has very little pushback now. If you do corner pressure like 5B[m], 5C[m], 5D or 2D[m] as a block string, you'll notice you don't move anywhere from where you were when you used 5B[m]. 6C[m] has a lot less pushback and a lot less blockstun. No where near as good as it was since it's still a pretty choreographed move + now leaves you in DP range. It also lost it's jump cancel on hit.... which really screwed me up early on. That also means no more OS confirms, so you might as well get used to setting 2D as soon as you see 6C[m] hit. Other random things I've noticed : 4D is unsafe. jB[m] much weaker as a jump-in. Afaik, single hit DP into combo is gone. As the frame data shows, 5D and 2D speeds are reversed. Anti Air Counter Hit 2C[m] hits people way far away now. 5D in OD is a homing move (though you can also use 6 / 4 / 2 / etc to direct it manually) and can be held like a normal staff recall. The homing really sucks though because by the time it locks onto your opponent, they've already moved. jB[e] might be longer I think... If you really wanted to use Kokushi, you can still get about 2 mixups in, and confirm into a combo... That's all the random stuff I could think of off the top of my head.
  5. I guess it couldn't hurt if you brought yours just in case, though I think we already have 3-4 setups confirmed. Also, 5:00pm is just when we start casuals. BBCP won't start til later on... 7:00pm I think.
  6. There's a Blazblue Chrono Phantasma tournament this Friday / Today at 5:00pm if you are interested. Mann Hall, NCSU Stinson Dr, Raleigh, NC 27695 Hope to see all you guys out there.
  7. yeah but being Hells Fang'd into DBZ-style somersault ground slam is like pain on a whole other level. :P
  8. We played til 12am last Friday, no one kicked us out or anything, so I guess we're gonna keep trying to play as late as we can. :P
  9. Though people are saying the PS3 version of the game lags compared to the Arcade version of CP (not the xbox360 version, since there is none to compare to).. Perhaps PS3 BB has always had this lag, but the reason no one complained about the it til now was because BB was a much slower game before? Hitstop has been reduced 2 frames across the board in CP, so just that change alone can really make a difference on how much that bit of lag/delay may affect people.
  10. TGS was just an example. I was asking if peoples' opinions on BBCP lagging were coming from their experience at actual events (not playing the game from their own PS3 / monitor). If this was the case, the lag is probably an issue caused by the setup provided by TGS (or whoever) rather than ASW messing up the port. Not saying that ASW couldn't screw it up, but I'm more likely to believe the former is a fault here.... At least until we get our hands on the game. EDIT : Also Pozerwolf, my experience is the same as Celerity's. I haven't had any problems playing on the newest slim model of the PS3. Granted, I don't own one, so I can't say for sure of what the system's limits are in terms of handling games.
  11. The lag could be one of many reasons though (and may not be because of the console or whatever). I'm assuming that people talking about lag on the PS3 were playing BBCP at TGS or some other event? If so, was it confirmed that the TV's / Monitors at TGS (or whatever event) were sub 12 ms of lag? Were the PS3's set to 720p (not allowing the PS3 to downscale from 1080p)? Were the monitors set to “game mode” or whatever the option is called for that specific device? I say this because it's not uncommon for large events to mess things up in terms of setups, no matter how great the event actually is in other aspects (anyone remember that 2010 Tekken 6BR World Tournament?).
  12. Aw, I won't be there, but I will be at CC. Can't believe we only have like one whole week before CP hits. Also bringing up the topic of bi-weeklies between WNB and AA... I think that now with so many other people in NC who are importing CP, there's a good chance that people are going to be playing BBCP often regardless of any specific dates (especially at NC State since I think there are like 6-7 players there who are planning on playing CP anyway). For now, since BBCP is new, I think we can pretty much play things by ear in terms of attending gatherings and such (not having any specific set dates) since we're gonna have a good amount of people playing / showing up anyways.
  13. I guess tonight was pretty different since it mostly consisted of us teaching Sam the game. xD Will be nice to have a Carl player though, once he gets the hang of him. Guess we'll get our next matches in on CP, Eric.
  14. See you guys later tonight? Sam should be coming too this time. EDIT : Oh yeah, and secondaries! Gonna use some Makoto, maybe Rachel tonight.

  16. That is true. Perhaps setting WNB off one week and alternating might be the way to go. Plus, since WNB has all games (not just anime), we'd probably have a higher chance of getting other people from the outside as well. EDIT : And yeah. we can probably do the week switch some time after the 25th. For now, we could still go to WNB on the 9th, then CC next weekend, AA on the 25th, then have WNB on October 30th (which would be the week shift).
  17. alright, thanks. I was hoping for that 5B[m] > 2B[m] to be true. lol
  18. So people will be going there every Friday then? If that's the case, I'll try to make it to some of the off-week sessions as well. Also I was wondering how you guys feel about moving all of our Bi-weeklies to Anime Almagest (that's the name of the bi-weekly) after this upcoming WNB? We could do both venues, but I feel that since Carolina Clash is at NC State (and now Anime Almagest), we'd probably have more consistency of participants there imo. Just wanted to know what you guys think? Also, info from Sam : Mann Hall, NCSU Stinson Dr, Raleigh, NC 27695 Starts at 5:00pm on Fridays (though I'm sure the actual tournaments will start much later than that).
  19. I noticed on the wiki 5B[m] into 2B[m] is a gatling now? And 6A[e] is jump cancellable on the gatling table but isn't shown as being jc'able on the regular frame data. For anyone who actually knows, does she actually have these in CP?
  20. I also forgot to mention CC... October is gonna be a busy month for FG's in NC. :V https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1278080_10151598989361829_916679715_o.jpg
  21. yeah very convenient timing right before CP. Hopefully we all get our games before then. Or at the very least I'm hoping to get the game that exact same day of the event so we'll have one more setup for BB. And Sam actually plays BB now (he bought Extend and is practicing for CP). xD He's playing Plat.
  22. If you guys remember Sam saying he wanted to do some kind of all anime event at NC State, it looks like we will be running that on October 25th. Venue looks pretty nice, and we got good internet (they actually tested the stream like 5 minutes ago). Look out for some Day 1 BBCP!! Pics of the venue https://scontent-b-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/v/1380999_4660830777813_725480768_n.jpg?oh=bd2f431adebe9aa022b6de20ca21bc8f&oe=5250BAA4 https://scontent-b-iad.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/v/1374498_4661086064195_1609011382_n.jpg?oh=f3979faee05b98dfa2d859c929e216ba&oe=52511130 Stream www.twitch.tv/ncsu_fights
  23. Good games last night Eric/Dom. I noticed you guys used Makoto / Valk for the first time in a while. Since CP is just about out anyways, we should have an all secondaries night before the game comes out. Would be pretty interesting since I think we're all very much familiar with Extend Litchi/Tsubaki/Jin anyway. Also, I talked to Sam, and it looks like we will be meeting at NCSU's DH Hill Library from 6pm til close. EDIT : forgot to mention it is Friday, not on Saturday,
  24. See you guys tonight? 1 more month to go. After seeing how Kokonoe plays I might actually wanna play her as a secondary. lol. Terumi looks pretty fun too... Secondary characters crisis. D:
  25. No but there is a BB player you may be able to play with, his user name is Crosell. I'll tell him to post here. He actually is in Fayetteville as well. Also if you want to play BB with other players this weekend, a BB side tournament is going on for Fall Classic (on Saturday).
