Didn't he dash towards her and run her through almost immediately after their battle? No one translated their dialogue beforehand so I'm just going on the in-game movement/pictures. And according to his conversation with Rachel he only remembers that he was supposed to kill Izanami, nothing indicating that he remembers why. Plus he hesitated hard to attack even at the end of CP, so I doubt he suddenly gained the resolve to do so while having amnesia. I'm just finding it dumb how he's willing to save murderous, deadly, and potentially destructive versions of his sister, but doesn't even bother with the real deal. Even Izzy said herself killing her wouldn't change anything, so either that was a vivid hallucination to invite him to fight Amaterasu or she basically was trying to stop him from getting a chance to reach out to Saya and lose control of her vessel.

I sure hope not, especially when you see the way he skewered Saya with zero hesitation in comparison....unless he's beginning to see Noel as a replacement Saya. Which she basically is, mind you. Plus with his amnesia I don't see him going all out for others just yet. But still, ridiculously out-of-character for Ragna "Damn it I know you're in there somewhere" The Bloodedge.

Determining whether or not they have a relationship all depends on how much Relius or Valk are willing to spit out, since they knew what happened to Saya T.

So....the girl inside is Noel and Saya is still Izanami. But Izanami a "drive" of Amateratsu? Could Izanami actually be a byproduct of Amateratsu that has taken the personality and mindset of a death goddess because that's its wish for her world that she can't carry out herself?

How the hell they're gonna fit any gag endings in between all this seriousness is beyond me. Ah well, at least we have comical chibis.

A momentum train going this fast can probably only end with a huge crash. Taokaka will be behind everything and Noel is merely a figment of everyone's imagination that's kept alive because she believes she's real.

Azrael getting rekt is basically obligatory at this point. Nine killing Celica would probably be enough for her to chill out. Terumi is boldly going nowhere as long as Hazama isn't interested in merging bodies. But some of these plot twists are going borderline M. Night Shaymalan at this point.

Oh, completely forgot about that. *whew* Yeah, so it would stand that Ragna is the one in Nine's ending who done the deed, and Amaterasu to rewind the events yet again so that "lol it doesn't count". Which makes me wonder if that's the case, why would Amaterasu reset time so it would benefit someone who wants to destroy her? *lightbulb* Maybe Amaterasu/Big Noel WANTS someone to defeat her, possibly with the power of several characters at once. The time loops could be out of its hands and it wants someone to stabilize the timeline so that things end up ideal. Rachel could assume it wants to be protected and that's why she deploys the Tsukuyomi Unit every time it's attacked. What was Rachel's story about "the girl" again? Could've been some big foreshadowing towards who it is or what it's doing.

There's a big discrepancy between Ragna's ending and everyone else's and that's what got me concerned. Maybe that was one big wake up call that will help Ragna to regain his memories, since according to Zed's translation, she said nothing had changed as a result of him trying to kill her.

Now I think I know where Mori took his inspiration from. This is basically UBW at this point. Maybe that was all a ruse and she simply healed herself after Ragna left. If Time Killer could literally do nothing I doubt running her through with his sword would be the coup de grace everyone was looking for.

But like I said, if she doesn't have another body to swap into she's good as dead, which means there was little reason for her to let Ragna stab her unless she REALLY wanted to motivate him, and even then I think it has the opposite effect.

Canon in that Phenomena Intervention doesn't immediately reverse what just happened.

Terumi hasn't been a threat since the end of CS, really. Freaking Mori has to make everything revolve around Ragna's little harem, after all. Wonder if Izanami will have an act 3 story if Ragna's ending is to be canon. Still not so convinced that a death goddess would just go Obi Wan on someone like that.

There's still an extra space for a character spot above Izanami. Maybe they'll use this opportunity to give us motherfucking JUBEI in Act 3 before making all the console characters relevant to the story.

One thing I'm curious about is what was the end game if Ragna stabbing Saya for real. Izanami apparently wants him to go and stop Amateratsu in order to reverse what he just did....so why not just show him a "what-if vision" like with the other endings? Unless the stabbing itself was the vision. If not then congrats, you just wasted a perfectly good vessel trying to make a point. Not sure if it's hinted by the dialogue, but was she even expecting that to happen? Izanami is hardly defeated in the other endings but for some reason is just gonna go Obi-Wan with Ragna? Something doesn't add up.

Metal Gear Solid handled this idea much better OVER A DECADE AGO. Which is why I exactly see Mori doing his own take on it.

That's probably the case but if so then what benefit would either one of those Noels have for anyone? If they kill her would it reset time for everyone moments before their terrible event in their life that made them the character they currently are? Either way, Cristina Vee and Kanako Kondo are gonna be pissed...

Mori was playing MGSV as he was writing the CF story and decided that the major plot twist there was the greatest thing he could ever hope to rip off, I'm betting.

I know the arcade modes are intentionally vague to get people to play the story mode in the console version But something tells me all the shenanigans going on in the arcade version is actually gonna have the opposite effect lol
