From the website Extra style gives you the weakest parameters of the the 3 and you can't use Phantom Breaks (H+S) however you are able to switch between Hard and Quick styles when you go into Overdrive and unlike the other 2 styles your Burst Gauge [super meter] lets you hold a max of 4 charges [as opposed to 2]. It is considered an "advance" player style. And I agree, PB always looked ok and they have manged to improve the game with each iteration, just giving us AC would've been fine but Extra looks like an even vaster improvement and I'm all for it! This waiting ; w; -

Upon closer inspection, I really like Axl's top, not so much his bottom, union jack kilt/skirt thing is kinda weird. But still a good redesign overall. I-No's "redesign" is even more underwhelming than I originally thought however lol -

Same as Kurushii, got the limited edition and I've been sitting at Processing shipping (Paid) for awhile now. AmiAmi's offices open at 12pm JST, so I would check back around then for [hopeful] status updates, still waiting on my actual shipping acknowledgment and tracking number ' 3' -

We're all learning a little something~ Also now that it's been pointed out, I can clearly see that White Mikoto and L are the ones fighting in the background while their distorted silhouettes are on display. So this game wil have 20 characters with the possibility of a 21st if the mysterious and still unveiled AC character is in . . . I've really hyped myself up these past few days and I'm not 100% sure why orz but not the anxiety is getting to me...WHY HAVEN'T THEY SHIPPED IT YET (/.\) -
What? Sega is just less risk taking [and I really do use that loosely---every main entry Yakuza game made it over plus Dead Souls, Valkyria Chronicles 3 may sadly be missing but the fact the 2nd one for PSP came still surprise and pleased me, Virtua Figther 5: Final Shodown, they decided to bring over a Miku game...I mean honestly that last one should be enough lol]. Honestly they'll probably keep Atlus pretty independent, especially with all of their success as of late. What about it? It came over, the only reason it [and Bayonetta] were delayed from the Japanese releases were the fact both games came out very late in the year, which is a near death sentence for smaller titles in North America, which is why they instead pushed them to early the following year [bayonetta] and Summer [Anarchy Reigns] and the latter got a SIGNIFICANT price reduction, something they DIDN'T have to do... Sega is a better company than most people give them credit for lol but yeah back to P4U.

Heads up guys, there's going to be a title patch for the game, interesting that they're dropping at different dates... The 360 patch will be available same day as release (9/19) while the PS3 ver hits on Thursday (9/26). For the most part it seems like a fairly brush up patch (updates title screen to let you know you're running ver 1.01, fixes an apparent issue concerning Emergency Mode input, fixes a bug concerning some of Waka's Specials, apparently Situation Battle has some weird battle bug, an error in display of Life gauge, and various other tweaks not listed) the only real difference between the 2 patches for systems seems to be the PS3 ver will add Data Install so that you can increase performance by installing game data to your harddrive (such a rudimentary function it seems weird it wasn't in by default) Also the A-Cho vids are pretty scrubby compared to G-Stage [Part 1|Part 2] Were they in the original game? I know very little about PB pre-Extra -

While we wait on new footage [serious, they'll share all the screen in the world but no vids ; -; ] for Yusuke, Gon, or any of the new rivals, 2 more characters got revealed today . . . Taro Yamada and Jaguar Junichi.

As far as we know, there are no plans for an arcade port of Extra, but that's not to say it won't happen [the very fact that Another Code exists still baffles me lol]. Safe bet that for now they just want to focus on the console ver before taking it all to the arcade. Speaking of, did anyone ever find out who the mystery character in AC was? It's none of the new characters because NO ONE in the cast has a traditional Japanese sword . . . And then there are the supposed tease of a possible "EX" ver of Mikoto and M . . . F it, YOLO UPPERCUT! I'll stick to my guns and keep my pre-order :3 -

Yes but keep in mind CSE and CP also released very late in the year at the worst possible time for NA. Sending out a small, unadvertised title during the holiday season is financial suicide which is what numerous games try to avoid. CT, CS, and P4U all released in the summer, a usually desolate time frame. Thus the length between releases for Xrd is very much heavily reliant on when they settle on a firm date. -

Well CT released within the same week for Japan and NA while CS was within the same month, if I recall correctly CSE had a massive delay as ARC was handling the localization themselves while Aksys did little more than distribution. And wasn't P4U also a month apart? All guesses at this point are just that, but really it just comes down to planning of the Developer and Publisher's side, they are aware well before hand of their international market value and presence so trying to tighten release plans for different territories is within the cards. To clarify, I don't believe it was [clearly] stated if the actual localization was being handled by ARC themselves or another third party, but Aksys is indeed handling the physical distribution of the product to NA. -

Yeah the simplicity is kind of the reason I want to keep my pre-order, since I have friends that like Smash so I'm hoping that the similar control scheme (with Specials and Supers being single directional inputs plus 1 or 2 buttons) will make them more enthused to play lol. I'm glad that the NA ver never came out because I really didn't want to buy/constantly borrow a 360 to play it, but I wish they would confirm/deny international plans (/.\) Also in case nobody heard, the sequel to Battlegrounds is coming to PS4 lol -

Nope, status hasn't changed. Also I'm having reservations with this game, like I don't mind buying random fighters, but since this is an import it comes at a higher cost, and BB is next month...wonder if I should just hold off on this for the time being... Unless a good amount of people here are gonna import ; ~; -

It's true, without double activation combos [which were hilariously practical] Hyde becomes a less interesting character. He still is a great, well rounded character with how many vectors his moves cover, but now he has little opportunity to connect them and go nuts. His weakness [within the context of this game] have become much more apparent now with the loss of the original GRD meter behaviors. So yeah it will probably take some time to get new tech, but I doubt we'll have see those old swag combos ; -; -

No confirmed date for Kokonoe's release, so she'll most likely have to be waited on. Also note that Terumi is pre-order DLC, his public release hasn't been confirmed to the best of my knowledge. -

Both the arcade ver and consumer versions have been confirmed for a 2014 release. Depending on when they release the console ver in Japan, it's within the realm of possibility to have an international release in 2014 (like if it comes in Summer~Early Fall). Seeing how the product page specifically list "Japanese" in the Voice and Text options for the arcade version, they may be planning to tighten the international release window for consoles. -
