It's more than that [especially with using 3D models that itself being less of a burden] it's the simple fact you're on a 2D plane, where everything is thought of in a linear fashion as opposed to a 3D plane where you now have to concern yourself with moves going in lateral directions. Like if a character has a back hand with their left hand; in 2D this doesn't matter, it only hits in front, but in 3D maybe it only covers a 180 degree radius, so now [depending on the side the character is] the covered arc varies. "But wait, that still shouldn't be a problem" well it can be especially for a heavily weapon based fighter like this, depending on how the character is facing you could obscure attacks since they're seen from another perspective. Mirroring works out for devs and consumers in the long run. There definitely are benefits to doing an RC late; if I have a move that has high combo potential on its own but is high unsafe, I can RCP(urple) to prevent any sort of punish at the last very second, which in itself creates a mind game. Can I punish the incoming punish? Will the opponent see that coming and make me whiff another move unsafely? Will the opponent just stand there expecting me to think of this, so maybe I can run up and throw? etc, etc. Also if "goofing" was the point, I don't think they'd give you the time slow at all [despite it being much short than RCR(ed)] which is still essentially a "get out free" card. -

May didn't have Esenga? before, but it's basically an aerial ver of her Jackhound No, you're thinking of Jackhound, Mist Finer (as it appeared in the EX ver of her character post originally GG) was her attempting an Iaido slash with her anchor. (in OG GG it was her twirling the anchor causing a gust of wind. Which technically makes the move hers originally since Johnny didn't "exist" yet ) -

Well so far we just have the 1 RC that changes color depending on the situation (Yellow = before, Red = during, Purple = after) I'm not 100% sure on what the benefits of doing an RC late would do at the moment (maybe punish someone's punish?) but that sort of mind game becomes trickier thanks to the obvious telegraphing of your intent. Also stagger is controlled by button presses now, I hope this means I can hold guard while I mash out ; w; and that yellow stuff on the back of Potemkin's helmet, I thought it was apart of it, but could that be his hair? Did he dye it? O.o -

Well, going off reports and that one translated interview by Suzaku, there's only 1 Roman Cancel, however the color will change depending on the situation an RC is used in. Yellow seems to be indicative of moves that have yet to connect yet (hence whiffs and projectiles) and traditional Red is for moves that were already connecting before RCing. Ishiwatari said there could be more colors in the future but he wasn't ready to talk about that. Also the reports say the "time slow" is universal to all variations [at this point 2] of RCs. That's how I interpret it thus far. -

Since I know you're a stickler for this kind of stuff, on the mobile site [only listed there apparently] they are known as "Homing Jump" and "Homing Dash". And yes, on block you get neither option. Danger Time sounds super gimmick to me, but I guess it will be fun playing chicken, I'd like to see what this "Super Counter" state looks like though. Well going off reports Homing Dash will have more application than the All-Out Attack in P4U since you can apparently combo with it mid-screen, so it's essentially the Impossible Dust trick made easy. -

Only think that separates the GG and BB story modes is the variety of portraits and presence of CG illustrations, what with ARC dabbling even further into the VN territory I don't see why they wouldn't, but Xrd can benefit further thanks to the new graphics engine and offer true cinematic presentation. But yeah, let's reel it back a bit~ -
