  1. I'm pretty sure EVERYONE is going to say "who the hell are you!?" once they go up against Botemkin, well everyone but Jam maybe = w=
  2. Calamity Trigger Material Collection. Keep in mind, CONCEPTS, so no idea what all was used or to what extent. If I'm not mistaken Mori, Katoh, and Daisuke were the most prominent concept artist. Pretty sure that was Yuki Katoh, Ishiwatari has done very little official BB art.
  3. Like many things, hundreds and hundreds of meetings, collaborations, and compromises. If Ishiwatari-san had his way, we'd be playing Barbarian May = w=
  4. Wait, what!? Baiken just had cleavage, and it was like, "eh" We're talking about the same Japans right?
  5. kind of disappointed with Chipp, May, and Venom, way too close to original looks (although I really like the nuances in Chipp---hakama pants!? Too hipster 4 me!). WTF @ Potemkin O.o I think he went a bit overboard with that redesign (those feet D: ) lol Chipp has wall cling action, he's a true ninja now x.x
  6. Thank you for the timeframe ; -; now I can leave for a bit with a clear conscie!ce
  7. It's never to early to get amped, especially when you know something is on the horizon~ Also: Baiken without Force Breaks... Wait, Baiken had Force Breaks!? #baikenplayerproblems
  8. = w= Also lol, why are we bringing up that character poll at all? Millia barely made top 20 and Eddie didn't at all. Popularity polls only matter in manga because that's means you get a special illustration of the top winners [often creating groupings you'll probably never see in canon]. And I just realized the actual test is the 9, that means more waiting ; -; but I can deal with just character reveals, I've never F5'd this hard! My keyboard is chaffing ; -;
  9. Less than that, assuming the locks are lifted at midnight, it's already 2pm today (8/5) in Japan = w=
  10. Well praising 4 is just awful lol, literally all 4 brought to the table was Hilde [which I thank it for, but outside of that it was just a bad game]. To anyone who cries that their character didn't make it in, try being an avid player of KoF and NOT using someone who was in '94 :s I do agree that there were far too many Shape-shifter characters [really gender specific ones? Come on Bamco] and that CaS really is taking away TOO much focus from the core of the game and series as a whole. Yeah Story was ass, and single player content in general is slipping, which is weird for a Soul game since they were once KINGS at that, but the story PLANNED for 5 sounded amazing... All we can do is hope the next game receives the time and budget is deserves, the next step to that will be buying 2HDO.
  11. Wait, what!? lol, who's saying that? Anyone that does hasn't played the game on a semi-serious level, 5 is the best the series has been in quite sometime, however I do feel they ruined it some with the frequent and odd patching choices.
  12. I just hope we finally learn the identity of That Man's 3rd lacky If we don't get one by the end of the week we'll definitely one for TGS, patience
  13. Why do people think that aging Bridget automatically makes him loose any of his effeminate ways? There are plenty of handsome/beautiful men. I would be more concerned with his character arc changing his appearance since all he's ever wanted since his introduction is to be more manly I think he might be something akin to Cedric [battle Fantasia] if he retains his ways.
  14. In order of greatest desire: - Baiken - Leopaldon - Franny - Raven
  15. #Reload is the last Guilty Gear that Ishiwatari was the Director/Producer, he was still involved with future Guilty Gear developments, just nowhere near as active [as essentially none of them were "new" games, just building off what he already laid down]. He still made new music and artwork for Isuka, Slash, and Accent Core [and of course lead Overture development]. I believe he had very little/no involvement with spin-offs [Judgment, Dust Strikers] He wasn't involved at all in AC+'s story mode at all.
  16. To me it sounds like you're just afraid of change in general, I don't think they just said "let's remove it and call it a day", I'm sure they levied many options and outcomes before going forward with what we have now. They're trying something new to appeal to the new environment that the market is today [supported by hardcore and casual alike]. Is everything going to work without a hitch? Probably not, but that doesn't mean we should stop them from trying or that it can't be fixed down the road. I can see why the possible removal of FRCs scare people but we literally have no [realistic] idea how the "YRCs" work or their application, we should at least see how that works first [much like I'm sure ARC is waiting to see with this test] and on paper they sound plenty unique. I don't think FRCs are the more "unique" feature of GG [considering that pretty much every "anime" fighter WANTS to be GG ] the Guard bar, Dust, and general operation of the Tension meter are all plenty unique on their own. FRCs are more a benchmark for player skill as they were essentially "expert" RCs [yes I know for some characters like I-No they are pretty much necessary, but that just shows how highly technical some characters are] I still say let's wait to see how this [YRCs] plays out first. They still have who knows how long until the arcade release and more than ample time to readjust and refine anything.
  17. But there's actually a pretty big rift between community opinions on Slash (ok, it's really #R but humor me) and AC era GG. Also +R, while a welcome injection of life to the AC series, isn't quite the revival that Xrd needs to be, even putting that aside if you really think that they were just going to make another "complicated" GG to appeal only to the "hardcore" fanbase, then you are in for some rough travels. No doubt Xrd has been thought of from many angles in order to keep it feeling like Guilty Gear while also lowering the bar of entry, proven by simplifying the Guard bar system and even fully incorporating and simplifying the Impossible Dust. They're not just "tossing" out all their past experience, data, and mantras, they're just finding a way to redistribute it without overwhelming the uninitiated.
  18. This is a new game, so it can set it's own rules. I love, Love, LOVE Force Breaks but in no way are they 100% "needed" to make Guilty Gear, Guilty Gear. I mean the series ran without them for YEARS, they're an Accent Core thing, if they come back in a future iteration of Xrd, awesome, if not, that doesn't doom the game. Yes Heca, "taking away" tools/options is bad, there's no arguing that, however this isn't AC+R#/Redux this is Xrd. Also alot of the FBs that aren't mere EX attacks can [and in most cases HAVE] been implemented into a non-EX world, something they're clearly keen on doing by giving Sol back Fafnir as a regular attack (as opposed to keeping it to Sol EX or a FB). Major system changes are nothing new in fighters, I mean look at SF, little of the Alpha or III systems can be found in IV despite numerous characters from those games being featured, and alot of those characters still do just fine, if not better. At the end of the day this just takes a new approach and perspective, if you were honestly hoping to play another AC then good news, AC+R should be heading to consoles this month, for now (especially since we have ZERO idea how ARC plans to implement characters and moves) we shouldn't be so quick to blow our brains out at X thing missing or Y option acting differently. Let's see where this is actually going first lol.
  19. Come on, just look at him! There's literally no one else like him~ And he was just so fun to play with! Especially 4-way mirrors + w+ IT would just be nice to see him in a real GG. They were only in the last iteration of the XX series, Accent Core, and many believed the system was quite strong as alot of EX attacks were really, REALLY good. Honestly, I didn't even spend meter on Super (and some FBs led into their own unique Supers like Sol's Fafnir > Tyrant Wave Alpha).
  20. Leopaldon outfitted himself with a jetpack! 3x Jumps and 2x Air dashes confirmed
  21. Nope, just RCs and "Yellow" RCs. Oh yes, in all past games FRCs have been a detailed feature. EDIT: lol just notice the buttons are color codded to their default layout on a Playstation controller
  22. F U Blade! My hopes can't be crushed! ' ^' Also trying not to think to hard on the systems till we get some clarity from impressions or secret vids from the moon = 3=
  23. Yo speaking of medical care, can Franny have a formal introduction into the series! .o.
  24. I wasn't too fond of it at first, but I'm ok with Millia's look, specifically because someone said she looked like a Red Ribbon Army officer
  25. As far as I can see, the mention of the yellow hue is the only distinction given to it, both are simply labeled "Roman Cancel".
