Tekken Revolution, Free to Play game exclussive for PS3
SolxBaiken replied to Hecatom's topic in Misc Fighter Central
The more I play this game, the less I like it lol Tired of stats and Special Arts lol Low level Tekken play is boring [and even more scrubby] and High level is more of a pain in the ass to deal with; and I can't if my growing disdain is caused to not being able to play freely or not having characters I really enjoy and could easily transition between with in Tag 2. Once I 100% this game I probably won't touch it again [even after updates] unless they make some serious balance adjustments [characters that were good in Tag 2 are still beast while those that were ass are still ass, and new mechanics don't help that rift lol] Thanks Harada for the mild distraction but call me when the next standalone title is out. -
He's a heterosexual man fighting a woman LITERALLY with her ass hanging out.

Where my Baiken at? -
That's his teching quote, when he bursts he just yells "GET OFF OF ME!!!"

The fact that anyone ever thought Rachel was a good design is just lol. And I swear she always looks like she's running in NGB graphics lol. Also Momiji having a double jump is stupid :\ An action like that has no business in DoA, heck I hate wonky actions like that Tekken .v.

KNEEL BEFORE ZOD! Also Flaming C...welp at least Conan is being honest all I can say is at least they didn't make this a real character...

I miss Jin's CT teching quote vs Noel. "YOU BITCH!" As opposed to CS' calmer, spread out ver "You . . . bitch!" Jin's animosity for Noel was so tangible, dunno why they changed it in CS re-recordings v.v

I've brought up Gaikai and the first thing people bring up is lag (both from streaming "offline" and possibly "online") which we have no idea how good [or bad] that will be since we don't know what PS4's network capabilities are yet. And I've heard of Unity, but yeah since it's relatively new, no idea how that would work. [i feel] asking for a [PS4] port is redundant as Arc are port monsters [2nd only to Square] and I can see portable and next-gen versions in consideration. But you guys act like PS3/360 are just going to vanish into smoke the minute November comes around, there are releases planned till 2015 and at the ver least in 2014 both will have a strong presence in the market still. Also there's probably a good chance of a digital ver of CP existing eventually given how strong the digital market is [and growing]. After all CSE had one and it allows Arc that autoimmunity they want to covet.

Sony confirmed in February that PS3 titles [physical or digital] will not run on the PS4. PS3, Vita, and PS4 will share the network, but if the game isn't formatted for the console it won't work [just like now, it may be on PSN but a Vita can't play a PS3 game and vice-versa). So my point still stands, you'd have to ask specifically for a PS4 port which is [in the grand scheme of things] no different from asking for a 360 port. Also Dark Ranger this isn't a matter of "localization" it's a matter of programming, and there are far too many legal hoops for Arc to ever consider such a thing [for the most part Arc even wants to be independent, only relying on Aksys for NA distribution because they aren't big enough yet to supply more than 1 region with physical copies].

F Fire Emblem, give me an Advance Wars [Days of Ruin] character! (They could even replace Snake, and 1 up Fox's Final Smash) -
Making a [PS3] digital version for CP would be irrelevant as the PS4 will use a different [PSN] system, thus no PS3 digital titles will carry over to PS4. Arc would have to make a PS4 specific version. So it'd be no different than asking for a 360 port.

I don't blame you, after extended time with this, the FGC "should" tell Bamco [or Harada if he was behind this, because he doesn't exactly sound against it] to shove it. Since I've already cast my vote I'm going to stop playing after I 100% the trophies [which means at least logging in for 10 days straight lol] and until they make this actually worth everyone's time, I'll leave it at that. -

Like Mu-12, Kagura is unlocked by finishing the story mode (True End) BUT you can also purchase unlock code (it was like, what a dollar for Mu?) -

I'm at 9160 and only just recently unlocked a 2nd character [so it's probably 9k]...but the scary thing is... I think they're limited AND random. Before I unlocked anyone there was a gift box, and even after getting 1 (Steve) there was still a box, after now getting my 2nd (Bryan) I no longer see the box... And I know for a fact Alisa can [could?] be unlocked as I saw it happening on stream and I've fought a few Alisa's online. If this is true, you only get a random 2 characters and only 10 in total, man, they better start pumping out updates because this is annoying and sad...which is too bad because I like the gameplay, just not this arcade sim f2p model. And the sad thing is, just by playing this I'm supporting the model (anyone who downloaded it and touched it once is) and if devs see that they can get away with, it could potentially mean new practices which I do NOT want to embrace. There's a reason I bought a home console... -

So like the new OST and is it just me or are the graphics enhanced? Models seems crisper and the world "brighter" and it looks like the models have this weird filter on (which I like). Overall the game feels nice, I'm glad Special and Critical Arts aren't nearly as bad as they sounded in the PR release. CAs feels sort of gimmicky (random chance to deal more damage, yay?) but they make old moves look flashy lol I kind of like the invul frames on SAs and they're like SUPER punishable so they balance each other out. But what I really like about SA and CAs is how they're visually telegraphed, since they're pretty good moves, auto pilot players spam them and this makes them easier to look out for and recognize. I wouldn't mind them sticking around for T7. The f2p model is kind of crummy since it controls your playing habits but it honestly replicates the experience of the arcades alot, with coins being consumed for each mode. Although I don't like that Battle coins are used up for EACH match (I had an 8 win streak and essentially had to stop playing because I was out of coins and losing meant not recovering a premium ticket; great for simulating the intensity of arcades, but now friends can't have long sessions, and since this game ONLY has netplay, that's kind of saddening). The lack of a training mode is really disappointing (it's not like they couldn't have controlled that, tons of arcade games have training modes) and no offline VS is just sad. Honestly it's a nice supplement to Tag 2, or at least it would've been if it were released as a true stand alone game (like may $10~20, include some of the missing features and it definitely could've stand on its own) -
I know Ryu Hayabusa is Ninja Gaiden, but ever since they rebooted the series with the original Xbox title, I haven't cared for the continued merger of the two franchises. Putting Momiji and Rachel in this game is just too much, especially since [for obvious reasons] they don't play anything like their actual Ninja Gaiden incarnations, it's shameless pandering and shoehorning and I wish it would stop. #opinions

UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Keep Ninja Gaiden out of Dead or Alive D: But at least Rachel looks like an interesting character gameplay wise.
-
Ok it seems the f2p model wasn't clearly illustrated. There will be a demo that has access to all modes (including netplay) but you can only play as Jago, but if you like the game you can purchase different DLC sets to gain more characters. No doubt this will cost more than just getting the full game but it's a better model than the original purposed idea.
