I woke up, I came, and I changed my clothes ; -; Simply . . . beautiful . . . Although I don't mind the chunky graphics, those redesigns are pretty terribad lol Sol looks cool but they somehow made Ky more effeminate lol and Milia is just...yeah no.... Just make Baiken good and all will be right with the world ; w; Oh and that new track, nice to see that Ishiwatari unrestricted still knows how to rock~! -
That sounds like a challenge ' ^'

If I wanted to play MK vs DC I would play... MK vs DC, just sayin'... Also does this imply hat (like many got upset about last time) that the polls are total BS? I don't want Red Hood unless you make him without his guns ' ^' also ugh Powergirl is another wasted slot, and everyone's just going to bitch about her looks once they make her and seeing how that's the only thing people like about her... After picking up JLA (N52) I'm even more OK with Manhunter, he has the most potential for an interesting and varied moveset (and my god, does Nether Realms lack imagination, so maybe he can change that). Also I can't help but feel Killer Frost was added as a test character for Sub-Zero now lul [if we needed another ice character give me Captain Cold lol).

She can speak, she just doesn't run her mouth for miles, also if a 3D-animated video game can't express her visual personality more than a comic can, then these are sad times indeed. Also I've never seen Barbra as the quipster, more like a capable brain, I think Stephanie definitely has the most mouth of any 3 and emits more of the Robin (Dick Grayson, and to me more so, Tim Drake) persona than Barbra ever has (in fact Batman pretty much fired her from being Robin because he didn't have time for another loose cannon, but he still had faith in her abilities). Also Barbra has lost all her fun shades since N52, she's more like Batman (personality wise) than Cassandra ever was, especially with Death of the Family and that stuff with her brother. Also personality aside, I feel Cassandra had more to offer gameplay wise than any of the others (especially since I feel they did Batman a great...INJUSTICE in this game!), she could've been a more melee focused character with a wealth of command normals, using the grapple hook mostly for movement (WEB SWING!), also her trait could've been counter focused to coincide with her abilities, she could've been much like Hakumen in this regard. Maybe even reflecting back projectiles rather than making them when she counter enemy fire (I seriously hate Injustice zoning, just saying). Ok...this isn't even fair... Of course Barbra is the most popular in extended media content, first off she's been Batgirl longest, having first appeared in the late 60s and holding on to the "title" until the late 80s with Killing Joke (but actually having stopped being Batgirl long before then) and for 20 years there simply was no Batgirl until Cassandra was given the title in the early 00s (because Huntress never earned it, she assumed it only during No Man's Land. Which was painfully brief and cause outright fan outrage). Having no other persons to project the identity on to (and in the long attempt to prove the comic industry isn't misogynistic) Barbra was obviously used as Batgirl in the Adam West series (based in the era of her debut) and the Animated Series (airing just a little under a decade of Cassandra's debut as Batgirl and going off the air for the most part still a year away). Had Justice League went on, and more specifically I feel Young Justice since it depicted many aspect of the DCU not many other shows poked around in while still establishing their own canon, I feel Cassandra would've appeared since she has been a member of both. And yeah, since you mention Stephanie's cameo in YJ:TAS it's possible that past S2 Stephanie was a shoe-in since she was coincidentally saved by Batgirl (Barbra) and Robin (Tim). Cassandra and Stephanie's biggest issues are appearing in the "later years" of Batman and DC's lives, a section which very few shows get to cover due to the stagger amount of leg work to get there requires, also I feel that Barbra herself hadn't truly become popular as Batgirl until the mini-series Year One in 03, which was more to introduce new readers to Barbra's life before Oracle and to build on the hype of the Batgirl property that Cassandra was able to resurge. Also there haven't been any "BIG" DCU media projects (mostly 1-shot animated moves) with arguably DCU Online being the most ambitious which does indeed feature Cassandra (also she's in Lego Batman and was in Dark Tomorrow) Batwoman has so little to do with the Bat-verse it's almost a crime, I would like to see more syndication with the other titles but here we are after 3 major crossovers (Court of Owls, Death of the Family, and Requiem) and nothing on all fronts, in fact they're practically FORCING Batman into the book by trying to pit the two against one another. Heck they wouldn't even let her join Batman, Inc. :\ Also while I seem to be in the minority, I wouldn't mind a Batman focused fighter since I feel Bat-verse has the most richness of any other corner of the DCU, which is why I love it. Also DC = Detective Comics, so it's his world, everyone else is just guest starring in it (⌐■_■) ) #unpopularbatopinions

You're entitled to your opinion, and while I don't agree with it, I can respect it. But you've got to be kidding about the rest; Cassandra has no personality!? Have you not read her comics!? Easily one of the most complicated Bat-characters until the birth of Damien, but she's not just a angsty brute, she also has genuinely fun adventures and moments, also her under reliance on words makes her comics more thrilling because they're more visual than written, and as much as I love a good quip, a strong facial remark or body language is just dandy. And Stephanie unappealing? In the "Dark Age" her presence is a breathe of fresh air, the best thing about her is the fact that nothing extremely bad or traumatizing happened to her, she gets to be an enjoyable and likeable character for...being an enjoyable and likable person. Also Cassandra remained highly popular after becoming Black Bat, and Stephanie was popular before becoming Batgirl as THE SPOILER~! In fact the biggest grievances of N52 related to the Bat-family (outside of Tim Drake seemingly skipping straight to Red Robin) is the complete deletion of both of these characters, almost no one was excited to see Barbra and if Gail Simone wasn't at least a good writer and built off the past hype of Killing Joke, no one would care (in fact it's the biggest complaint about the book, it's solid, but now Barbra has lost all her interesting facets of her personality and is just Batman 63). (Also Cassandra has the longest running Batgirl solo series) Barbra has been at the height of popularity due to the Killing Joke and instead of being wiped off the board became Oracle instead.

So points I didn't know, because I never leave training mode (33hrs and counting~): - All attacks do chip damage (including Normals) - Chip damage slowly recovers over time (obviously if you're not in hit/block stun) but residual health loss a hit/combo is instantly lost - You can not be KO'd by chip These may be obvious to others, but it's just something I'm jotting down for compilation later. Also my "penultimate" combo gets interesting when Counter Boosts get involved... lol and since you can SC > EX with 1 stock, it's made that much more efficient and practical = w=

I'm terrible at this game, good night... http://youtu.be/9IcwyYEINFE http://youtu.be/qPQCUm_zTeg

Coming back to this, it's actually not as bad as I initially thought; all the values are consistent: Standing (base), Crouching (base+20%), Aerial (base+40%) This only applies to ground moves, aerial attacks deal consistent damage no matter the opponent state, for the sake of simplification I'm just going to record the base values for attacks and explain this little tidbit on a system page.

5U will have all the features of 5+ (with the exception -I hope and would think- of the touch fighting) so yes, music select and character themes are in! The game will be hitting NA and EU this "Fall" and is apparently being offered at both retail and for download. It seems unlikely this will be a patch a la AE, but c'est la vie (long as it launches at like $29~39.99)

The sad thing is, I don't think Barbra looks bad at all [gameplay wise] but this isn't how I saw Cassandra fighting, so when she eventually gets her costume, I'll just cry v.v The way she warps and strings up people kind of reminds me of Machiko/Whip and it seems her trait might be shock blades? (extra hit stun?) I will say she has one of the cooler supers in the game (it seems all the DLC characters thus far have superior ones...) Also [geek moment here] the worst thing about Barbra since N52 is the riding of past hype [Killing Joke]. Like that's pretty much the ENTIRE focus of Gaile Simone's run with her, in fact the only reason Batgirl's Death of the Family tie-ins weren't crap was due to Gail continually beating that hype cow. Honestly she was better off (and cooler) as Oracle, they could've kept the character and placed Stephanie in, but of course NRS seems to just want to jam as many references in here as possible... [and the other Batgirls have been blinked out of existence thanks to N52 ; -; ] EDIT: Whoops, typed too long lol

ugh, Ugh, UGH!!! Momiji is disappointing [to me]. She's essentially just a Hayabusa & Kasumi hybrid :\ Oh but KyoKaga you can stop complaining now, they're adding Leon lol (now to wait for Ein's return...)

(But the entire OST is in the game's files...and of course I ONLY dabble in legit affairs!) Unless you're like me and love to have CDs to enjoy in the car, because F the radio B<

Yeah also fixed something that was bothering me about my base templates lol But if you have any questions you can check out the Tae and Serena A pages as those are the only ones that have been filled any, or just ask = w=b Probably will fill in the system pages this weekend/next week since i want to take updated pictures.

Wow, how did I miss that lol!? Well consider the issue fixed :3

I'm...never going to play this game .__. Later today I was going to examine properties of crouching, so good to know to look out for dmg values...

Interesting... You can Counter Boost the moment you are Guard Crushed, originally wasn't sure how useful this would be, but it seems you can still preform like normal after a crush with the exception of being unable to guard until the meter goes down. What's interesting is the character gains a neutral crush frame which replaces their standing neutral frames during the condition. Although it doesn't appear you can crouch you can still do crouching attacks. Also when you get crushed from actually guarding you are knocked back regardless of the properties of the move that crushed you, however if you are "crushed" from a Counter Hit (which fills the gauge some, initial hit only) you react the normal way (Push back, Stagger, Slide, etc). Getting crushed by CH while crouching also doesn't force the neutral crush frame on you at all, you just remain crouching with the stars. (oh and it seems Caligula will sometimes loose his remaining neutral standing frames after recovery, making him appear frozen, but he seems to be just fine and reacts normally) Also it seems everyone but Main, Cielo, and Cecil are in a crouch state during their neutral crush frame, this may also be a special crouch state for some as Reviel could evade High attacks he normally wasn't while Cletia was able to evade a Mid she normally couldn't... Also Counter Boosting an opponent's Counter Boost, legit lol. I'm never going to get a chance to actually play this game ; w; EDIT: Oh you can do TCs with any direction, this has come in handy now that I'm doing stuff with Tae's j.2D making it easier to just hold down lol. Seems you kind of have to roll it to get the maximum use out of diagonals (like jumping immediately or crouch blocking immediately without having to transition from neutral to those states)
-
Yes but Rachel just falls asleep in place, Qdora actually lies down (as opposed to falling asleep crouching in place) and completely changes her hurtbox, which is why I (tried) to make the distinction clear. Oh that wasn't for weight, that was for height, because some High attacks affect crouchers differently. Hmm, I always assumed it was Extended Stun (like Stagger and Slide) as with Tae the only time I got them was when I used a move that gave off those properties in the middle of combos, but Serena A's 2C does seem to have Stagger... Curiouser and curiouser... Sisca A gets 2 from her 2C, which is the better of her launchers D: Also in additional to j.D it seems Tae can TC her j.2D on hit too~ Which is awesome since it one of her few moves that give hard knockdown and I can see some interesting things done with it = 3= Also Counter Boosts are crazy, you can do them during throws and supers, but if your attacks has good recovery you can actually block the strike. And my god...the damage display, so many numbers and moonrunes @.@
-
Hmm, yeah, it's like FRC tricky lol, and maybe not even universal but yeah guess more testing is needed = A= Never gonna actually play this game ; w; I already mentioned that, no one ever listens to my ramblings ; -;

It seems that the new version of Dead or Alive 5 is called.... Dead or Alive 5: Ultimate (just can't let 2 go, but I guess it beats Hardcore ) No other new info has surfaced yet, but my fear of this being a standalone release is rising... (wonder if they'd consider adding in any more VF characters? Vanessa needs to show Mila how Vale Tudo is really done ; w; )

Wow, T-"Cansels" are kind of whacky lol, it seems if you T-Cancel an attack that moves your character they will be jettisoned in that direction, I discovered this by complete accident with Sisca B. Her 6B is an overhead which she leaps forward before striking down, well if you T-Cancel is right (kind of strict) she will FLY straight into the air! Like from full screen it pretty much lands her just shy of starting position, sadly it seems she can't preform jumps but still has access to everything else (still in aerial state). Seeing this I decided to use the only other character I've spent extended hands on with, Tae, and tried this with her 6D, sure enough the same effect occurs (more lenient than Sisca B's), however instead of flying in the air like Sisca B did she instead flew across the screen, can land right in front of the opponent. These may be interesting (albeit costly) movement options. This got me experimenting with T-Cancels more and they have some weird rules, for example, I originally didn't pay them any mind because it appears Normals can only be T-Cancelled before active frames (so far the only exception I've found from this rule -in my limited testing- is Tae's j.D, this may be due to the hitbox appearing so fast or a genuine 1%). Specials and Supers can be T-Cancelled pretty much whenever, making them feel alot more like the RC systems many should be used to. Also since they can be preformed with either 6 or 4+AB and you can be holding the direction without having to separately input them during commands, it makes them relatively easy to pull off for some things (like the "T-Movements") but I can see advance combos being a nightmare lol

Fearless Night, New Indie Fighting Game
SolxBaiken replied to Hecatom's topic in Misc Fighter Central
Slendermuscle D: Hmm, I guess that's who behind Poco in that rough, cropped, promo art .o. Nice to see progressing moving forward steadily. -
She's not the only one both Serena A and B can only get 5A, also while Sisca A has an Auto-Combo, Sisca B doesn't have a full one (it's 3 hits, knock backs with hard knockdown, and doesn't end in a Super). Also despite both having step for a dash (66) Sisca B's can't cross the opponent up at all, except on knockdown.

It's not optimal, I just wanted to have something filled in, I've been more testing properties than trying to optimize combos, sorry v.v
