  1. Fourth post in a row. Oh, well. From the GD thread: Kokuugeki (j.63214S): - On CH, you can continue the combo with {land, dash 6K} - With FRC, you can continue the combo with {land, dash 5K} Kyokusageki ([4]6D): - It's a way of dealing with the opponent's dash and airdash at once - Good for using it a bit farther away than 2D 2P: - Cancellable into f.S - You can choose to hit only once, looks good - This poke was being used at the loketest - You can react with an anti-air if the opponent jumps Axl Bomber (j.623HS): - Nobody likes how this move turned out - It's better to use Kokuugeki FRC - It'd be better if at least the reward for hitting with this was higher Aerial Moves: - Nobody at the loketest was using the pokes with one or two hits right Chain {2HS, 2D}: - You can delay this a bit to surprise the opponent with 2D Hachisubako (623P): - They were using this attack as a way of punishing whoever tried to react after an IB on 2D; The timing for when the opponent attack came out was more or less the same than the timing for the Guard Point - Some were using RC or "set" (???) to advance after that hit, but I find it's better to do that with Rensengeki? 3P: - {3P(2), 2S} combos, but might be only useful when 3P gets a CH and juggles opponent...?(this might be "forces wakeup" instead of "juggles") - I don't know if this attack is punishable on block Rashousen ([4]6HS): - Almost no one used this attack at the loketest, so I don't know if it changed - It's still fast and looks good judging by what I could see --- So I guess Axl Bomber sucks now. Too bad.
  2. "Axl is stronger right now; he's back to his old style." Watches, you've been around a lot longer than I have. What do you suppose "old style" means in this context?
  3. Well, I don't know anyone making Mitsuru out to be an unstoppable S-tier monstrosity, but it's worth nothing that she sure can routinely breach 4K with some meter.
  4. So, what's a good neutral-ish thing to do? I'm fond of doing 2B > 5D > 22A, but I feel like that's kind of lame and impotent - just a moderately safe way to Orgia.
  5. Couldn't disagree with you more. When one mistake can cost you the whole match and tight play will consistently let you kill your opponent dead, which is what high damage does to a game, the game becomes less random and more skill-rewarding. Ever watch Divekick? That game is hilarious, but the more skilled player always wins.
  6. Don't worry, it's just a phase. We'll go back to spouting baseless bullshit soon enough.
  7. So, you seem like someone who didn't play GGXXAC. That game had a combo system where 35%-40% was something you could reasonably expect off of most hitconfirms and you could get 50%-60% with some meter. It actually didn't make the game dumb or annoying - it made it terribly, terribly exciting, because you knew that your mistakes mattered a lot and that, conversely, you had an opportunity to come back from more or less any amount of health if you had a good eye. High damage made GG totally awesome.
  8. Wow. I've been watching amazing Aigis play for, like, an hour straight. Thank you for this!
  9. In the first post, under Orgia Mode midscreen combos, you have Throw -> Orgia Boost -> j.C -> 236D listed. Why not Throw -> Orgia Boost -> j.B -> 5B -> j.C(2) -> 236D instead? It does 2132 damage, about 400 more.
  10. Man, P4A is mad fun. I've been repping Megido loops all day. Who can I expect to fight at SB?
  11. I've seen a couple Aigis players throw out random Megido Fires as approaches, and I don't really understand why - it seems unsafe to use that way. What's the reasoning behind that?
  12. Check out their respective combo threads for ideas: Chie - http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14538-Chie-Satonaka-Combo-Thread-WIP Yosuke - http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?14467-The-Yosuke-Combo-Thread
  13. Well, if you're looking for someone who can get a lot of damage off a small amount of hits, I suppose you'd be looking for Kanji. Command grabs and whatnot.
  14. From Jourdal in the general video posting thread: Labrys CMV - Welcome to the Black Parade Some pretty nice combos, but be warned that the BGM is My Chemical Romance.
  15. So I just got really excited about Rashousen okizeme. Even though we lost the ability to do it after S Raiei, I think it might be possible to do set-ups where the opponent rises right into it (now that's it's fast and full-screen).
  16. With a name like yours, I was hoping you played Gear.
  17. The hitbox for crossup j.B is a lot smaller than I thought it was. It looks like it'd be a lot wider on the bottom.
  18. Ah, gotcha. So EX Guillotine Axe can link into other stuff?
  19. Er, sorry - EX what?
  20. So, lots of 5-5s and 4-6s, and probably not anything worse than that, and the rushdown match-ups are probably as hard as the zoning match-ups. I can deal with that. I play a lot of low-tier characters on accident in fighting games, so I'm accustomed to 3-7s and the like.
  21. I got to play a little P4A at Console Combat this weekend, and man Labrys is fun. Exploding people with Red Axe 236236D was the highlight of my Sunday. What do her match-ups look like? I imagine she's a little like Order-Sol - trouble with zoners and long pokes, but she really only needs to get in once or twice.
  22. Console Combat was awesome! I'll definitely be coming more. Thanks for being so welcoming, Kamui.
  23. So I'm having trouble securing a ride - if I can't find one by Saturday night, would anyone be willing to swing by and pick me up? I can provide my address.
  24. There's no particularly good reason to limit yourself to one or the other, but if you want to do so, P4U will probably be more popular.
  25. Oh man - I'll definitely show up if I can. I'm a little out of practice on the whole, but there's nothing like getting your ass beat to whip you into shape.
