Air throw, 5S/5P, On, H Fuujin, FB Rin, run up, 5K, 5S, On I think maybe this combo needs to be done more, on account of how ridiculously stylish it is.

Hehe, very enjoyable. I especially liked the 5P x N and taunt ones.

Raven is notable for having a really strong army, the fastest, most damaging projectile in the game (his forward Y), and Not There, which pretty much gives him a free air combo. He can also use his relative nimbleness and his aerial Forward X dive to carefully duck the opponent. He's like a better Valentine, really.

Combo discussion is generally handled in the Discussion Thread, as far as I know. But maybe having a separate thread is a good idea? Eh.

Has anyone out there heard anything lately of an Axl by the name of Niiyama? The latest vids I can find of him are a year old, but I have a hard time believing he's not out doing something. -
I mean in terms of a price-to-effectiveness ratio. Ky gets a lot more bang for his buck than Izuna does.

Here's the tiers that I came up with while I was still really into GG2. Sol's army is better than Izuna's. Izuna's is easily the most overpriced army, and his servants generally can't hold their own in a one-on-one fight. It's just, army matters relatively little, since the game revolves more around how fast you can run your servants to ghosts and take down any resistance or opposing Masters in your way.

I lied! A tensionless and completely universal EX Anji knockdown combo is: Combo into Aoi, run up, 6S, SJC, j.K, j.S, j.H, 5S, 5H EDIT: I lied again! The above does not work on Bridget. He's the only exception I've found, though.

I'd support Await Rescue, since it's appropriately epic, but I don't really think instrumental stuff works well for combo videos. I have one last suggestion, but I have a feeling no one will care, since it's so outside the norm for what goes into combo videos: The Strokes - "Ize of the World"

Thoughts on AC+ EX Anji, since no other part of his game is moving forward: EX Anji gains a lot of tools back that he had in Slash (old 6H and 5H guardpoint are examples worth mentioning), as well as a few new options in the form of completely manual guard points. His 63214S guard point Overdrive can work as a guard cancel now, which makes it a whole darn lot more useful than it is right now. EX Anji would be a whole lot better than normal Anji if not for one thing: He loses H Fuujin. It is replaced with some kind of lame cross-up S Fuujin, which means no more horizontal DP and no more high-damage FB Rin combos. In fact, EX Anji's average damage is considerably lower than normal Anji's for this one unfortunate loss. As far as combos go, EX Anji's back to the days of comboing into S Fuujin -> S from most places on the screen. From mid-screen to closer to the corner, however, he can combo into Aoi for decent damage and knockdown. The most character-universal combo I could find is: Combo into Aoi, run up, 6S, SJC, j.K, j.S, j.H, 5K, 5S, FB Kou (does between 180 and 195 damage on most characters) Replacing (6S, SJC, j.K, j.S, j.H) with (IAD j.S, j.H) makes the combo significantly easier on a few people. There are also some Aoi combos that lead into knockdown without any Tension at all, but they're highly character-specific. I tested this with the opening string 5K, 5S, 5H, since I don't think EX Anji can combo more than three hits into Aoi; but I haven't tested anything after 236P, so whatever. It's not as though anyone's ever going to use this stuff anyway.

I was recently dicking around with Anji in training; and while doing so, discovered a cool tech trap. Combo into corner On, 66, 5P, SJ, tech air throw into 5P (or something else), On Sequences like the above can knock off anywhere from 60% to 85% life. Since I can't possibly be the first to find this, I'd like to know if there's some reason I don't ever see it.

Stark and I seem to disagree with you. Why? Sure, you're the Axl mod, but this is supposed to be an entirely collaborative video. Sure, you're a self-professed audiophile, but that doesn't necessarily make your musical taste any better than someone else's. Sure, you're doing the recording, but Stark and I have come up with most of the combos (and you're certainly not the only other contributor), and someone else entirely will probably be doing the editing. I can't see much of a reason for you having veto power. EDIT: Here's a combo, remarkable not so much for being hard as for being really damaging: Vs. Eddie, mid-screen: Air CH 6H, Kokuu (FRC), j.D, 623D, 623H, 2S, j.D, 623H, Byakuerenshou (309 damage) I'm trying some other stuff with air CH 6H as well.

Doublepost lol Here's an idea I don't have the time to test, but if someone wants to take it up, be my guest. Some string into 2H (FRC), run up, throw (6H), Rensen (FRC), JI Raiei S (FRC), AD, combo. Theoretically, this should switch Axl's facing position twice, which I think would be cool.

I have, apparently, failed utterly. Also, I'm requesting we don't use my Slayer 100% string, since it's kind of boring in retrospect. I might revise it later, but for now it's off the list.
