No time to do a show this weekend, I think the next one will be Monday (10/24) at 8pm PST. It will cover a really ubiquitous topic known as the "Game State."

I apologize, but 8PM is probably the time we're going to be stuck at for awhile for weekday shows. The weekend might have some early afternoon type shows, but for the most part, you'll have to catch these on youtube or in the stream archives. I agree actually. I don't really like the way Ep1 turned out, but given time constraints and not wanting to cancel, that's pretty much what happened. It already happened though, so there's nothing to do now but move forward. As for the 8PM PST time slot, there really is no choice there. Traffic and whatnot is really horrible and unpredictable in SoCal, so I can't really expect to make it back home at the same time every day, which is why I pushed it back an hour. I understand this makes it increasingly inconvenient for some viewers to view, but I probably won't be able to settle on an earlier weekday time slot until I either move or SoCal becomes a better place. Edit: As for lagging behind on the youtube version, there is all kinds of weird crap that is going down with the audio sync. All of the footage I take from my other capture sources is fine, but my webcam footage is perpetually slowly desyncing at specific rates of which I have no understanding. What I know right now is that it is desynced not at a flat delay but by some sort of constant degradation when exported, so fixing it is extremely painful and takes a ridiculously long amount of time (think rewatching the entire broadcast frame by frame to make sure the mouth flap matches, then syncing up the voice with it). THEN, completely re-rendering it. In the mean time, the best I can do right now is post the LQ youtube versions with the audio synced up. I'm still looking into solutions for this problem, and trust me, no one wants to fix this more than myself.

Oh I'm still going. I'm coming up and I'm gonna look disappointed at Spark the entire time. Count on it.

Character combo rate is a flat proration rate that is applied to every hit in the combo. It doesn't mean much unless it actually goes up or down. Because the combo rate is exactly the same as CS2, you don't have to worry about it.

@Tari Good point, I could probably update the image when I get home. I have all kinds of various assets, but I'm at work orz. OR, MAYBE YOU GUYS SHOULD POST MORE CONTENT! @tataki - I don't mind, I'm still going to upload it myself (so I can have a complete collection anyways), but my stream version is unedited, so I still need to rewatch it and censor myself. An audio version is a good idea, and only a single button click for me, so I'll probably do it and put it up somewhere.

Hello everyone, I'm proud to announce that project Beginner Mode is well underway and airs on my channel at www.twitch.tv/xiei. Please tune in next time to show your support and participate in the stream! General Info Beginner Mode is a program where we discuss the most basic of basic BlazBlue concepts and fundamentals, and take you from your competitive fighting infancy to glorious new heights! Or attempt to. That being said, Beginner Mode is a program dedicated to a slow, ground up approach to take even the most juvenile fighting game players to a more competitive level. The idea here is not to replace your current understanding of Fighting Games or BlazBlue, but to build a platform for which you may discover and expand your knowledge and skill. To that end, Beginner Mode is for players of all skill levels, as everyone has concepts to learn and perspective to gain. Show Format The show will follow a completely irregular schedule. It is likely to be "More Than Weekly", but will always be announced beforehand. This show will be conducted live, and likely with a (hopefully) minimal amount of professionalism. It will also be conducted in 720p, so if you have poverty internet, you might have a problem. Ideally, my channel reaches partner status someday, so we can get those delicious 360p and 240p options to work, but until then, we will have to make do. Staring at still images or random match videos is somewhat boring, so this show will be conducted webcam style, with the primary amount of footage taken from my face. Hopefully you won't find my grotesque handsome visage too offensive, as this would present a problem. From there, I will splice in images, diagrams, and gameplay footage as necessary, depending on the subject. As we reach more and more sophisticated concepts, the show's format will also change around, covering things beyond conceptual stage and dealing with match analysis and so forth. I've got the hookups to high level Japanese and American players, so certain show segments may be dedicated to inviting them onto the show and talking about their mindset, what they were thinking, etc. About Me If you don't know who I am, I am Xie, I have played BlazBlue and some people might even consider me pretty good! 10/29 is probably the next one. I can never say for sure because I have work and such. Edit: Wandering wolf, that mic is no good. It needs to be one with a XLR or 1/4" cable that I can use on a mixer. Unfortunately, the Tape input jack has gone bad, so that option is out. The format has been revised once again. Rank 7 is now the maximum, we're also eliminating the King's Gauntlet and turning that into a "Special Event." We'll have a different "Special Event" each session to keep things interesting, as slugging it out in the Ranks for 5-6 hours can be rough. I highly suggest you show up on time and participate in the special events, as they are awesome and sweet like delicious Candy. Also, we need stuff to throw on youtube, so help a bro out. That said, let's introduce our next special event: 10/15 - "Single Battle Ordeal" (SBO) This is a Single Match, Single Elim Tournament. You know how to do those work right? Seeds will be determined by Danisen Ranking at the beginning of the event. As a bonus, your Danisen points will count during the tournament. As usual, you cannot gain points as a Rank 7 and you cannot go below Rank 1 (+0). Afterwards, the Danisen will continue as normal.
