  1. Gonna skip this one, I'll come to the next one, with stream stuff.
  2. What, no Ougon Musou Kyoku? ' ^ '
  3. http://umineko.mizuumi.net/wiki/Changelog Just gonna leave this here.
  4. In CS2, throws do not count as purple after guard crush, so that's a legit setup for it. In CS1 however, it's always purple after guard crush, thereby stealing the only way you could land it outside a tick throw. Also, it's easy to get a purple Astral Heat, you just have to do it immediately after your tick attack lands, or try to throw them while they're being hit by Sickle Storm.
  5. I agree. Fuck the money. I think we should just switch both game formats to Danisen and actually just pay venue instead. I think everyone will have a lot more fun, and we'll have a better chance of the venue being around longer.
  6. Yeah, when Brett picked Johnny, pulsr picked Testament. Not that it matters, because apparently I played Lambda in BB even though I never picked her.
  7. GGs to everyone. I'm sad that Purrin didn't win Super.
  8. I'll be there around 1ish today. My stick still looks pretty broken though. Did I need to bring a ps2 or something?
  9. I heard Brett was going to this lol. Well, it's not too far from my house, so I might come if I have nothing else to do Saturday. How does 50% off work from a tournament perspective though? I don't know how many top class gamers attend CSULB, but they seem to be contributing less to the pot with an equal chance of winning. Or was it only 50% off of venue fee? Confusion!
  10. Theoretically, if you could get 4B's first hit to whiff mid combo consistently, it would probably lead to a pretty significant damage boost. The 1st hit of 4b prorates relatively strictly without adding much damage, so this is the reason for that. However, to my knowledge, this is probably inconsistent with the amount of dash momentum you had for your attack + your opponent's hitbox, so this type of combo might be better for combo videos rather than actual matches. On a tangent, Lambda has a lot of moves that counter carry, but for 6c it is possible to combo into 236c by canceling on the very first hit on a standing opponent, whereas if you used the counter carry it would only work if the opponent is crouching. I'll admit I haven't tried comboing into 236c on the 2~7th hits on standing, but I'm going to go out on a limb there and say it's not worth trying to confirm the Xth hit of 6c to add slightly more damage.
  11. As expected, which ender being better really depends on what kind of combo it is. A low prorate combo will obviously benefit more from the RC ender, while the minimum damage (20% or 560 damage) would be better for a high prorate one. As far as landing Calamity Sword in air combos, you just need to do it very quickly to make it connect. When the superflash occurs, your previous sword should still be onscreen. It should still work at the end of a full Cavalier combo, but it is 2 frames slower than Crescent Saber (17f vs 19f).
  12. I wrote a long paragraph about this combo, then dustloop ate it. Anyways, it's an interesting find on characters vertically large enough to hit with 2DD after a 2147D in the gravity well. Just for completness sake, here's a stable version of that combo that works on pretty much anyone and pretty much anywhere: 5B > 3C > 214A > dash > 6A > 2147D > (dash > 6B) > [5C X8] > 6C > 236C > 2DD > JC > j.DD > JC > j.2DD > j.214D for about 4700. Or the harder, but also less stable version: 5B > 3C > 214A > [5C X8] > 6C > 236C > [5C X8] > 6C > 2DD > j.DD > JC > j.2DD > j.214D for about 5000. You can also even add 2DD > 2147D > 5DD or some reps of 2DD > 6C, but at this point of the combo, it's more about meter gain than damage.
  13. Zong did you get your tix/room confirmed yet? I gotta decide pretty soon whether or not I'm coming this year. (+ convince my boss if I can go or not)
  14. Anyone who is on the fence about coming on Saturday or Sunday for casuals, I will have an Asus for BB and a CRT for GG at the Aksys Booth. So that's at least one setup for both games all day on both days. Edit: I'm going to be massacred in tournament, so can I get on the mic?
  15. GGs. I'm sad I couldn't enter BB, but sleeping at 10pm is a harsh mistress.
  16. I totally did not go to a bbq place today. That is all.

  17. Registered. Also entered Super for some retarded reason. Just FYI, the reg fee is actually $33 (some kind of processing fee). The top post needs to be updated with this info.
  18. I will try to come after my teeth are cleaned. ._. Also, I'm a little confused on the prize structure for BBCS. The pot for BBCS is $1000 Bonus + Tournament entry right? I can't tell because of how it is worded in the top post.
  19. Render needs to invite us over so we can train up and kill each other.
  20. With $1000+ I was hoping they would split the pot further down. Maybe even to like 6th or 8th. The farther you split down, the more people enter. The more people enter, the more money in the pot overall.
  21. It is invincible from the first frame. Are you sure you're not accidentally TKing it or doing 236236d?
  22. Plus, BangCamaro is Yipes. I bet if we took random BangCamaro commentary clips and edited them together, we'd have our equivalent to "IT'S MAHVEL BABAY".
  23. I totally understand your point, but that is pretty much the case for any opponent fighting Hazama, I was just pointing out that Houtenjin is definitely not THE END of her offense, as it actually just creates a complicated offensive/defensive situation. On the risk/reward table, Hazama is forced to guess whether or not you are going to continue your blockstring, and risks potentially big damage on a wrong guess. Unless of course, your opponent is a godlike frame perfect machine, who can IB an attack, buffer the input for houtenjin, see the starting frames for your next move, then execute houtenjin without unblocking or blocking. If that's the case, I don't think anyone can win against that. And in regards to 6B, my only point was that it was safe against Houtenjin, the huge damage punisher. Any character can IB it and hit a button, and so in that regard, it's actually safe against no one, so I would argue that it is not an issue that makes the matchup vs Hazama worse, but a fundamental weakness of the move across the board. Edit: I don't think Hazama is #3 btw, if you want to discuss it, I'll be happy to, but it's definitely tl;dr for this thread.
