  1. That was it! Those are kinda huge differences. Though I guess Johnny's was bigger (and not a nerf). It is a little surprising to me that these things happen.
  2. If this was one of my friends I'd tell him to make sure autofire is off on his stick. How that keeps happening eludes me, but it happens. More seriously, that is kinda a big bug. A move not functioning correctly, didn't johnny have something like that in AC?
  3. 360 follow ups are only slightly worse than in Extend. I will also miss mid screen J.D combos and j.D proration. I'm still super scared that the AC follow up is character specific.
  4. Anyone anywhere near the west coast want to play for a while? I have until like 2pm pst to play. Well in general I'm Mojoplenty on psn if anyone ever wants to play somewhere near the west coast.
  5. I'm pretty sure this is just a case of the throw hitbox being big enough to catch hakumen because he was right on top of hazama and the correcting was just the game playing the got thrown animation in the correct direction. As someone who has done tens of thousands of matches as Tager, I know that such things can and do happen in blazblue already. It isn't a glitch so much as hitbox jank.
  6. Not really because his combos were short, weak and lead to No oki a very high percentage of the time. Even aside from that, Tager combos aren't somehow harder to do on Mu than on anyone else, so I don't understand the objection. Just do real combos and get oki when you can. The extra damage and meter are important and there is no sense in passing up on the mix up opportunities. It is hard to get momentum sometimes and when you have it you should not throw it away.
  7. Well, I have one important critique, you don't seem to know your combos and are kinda improvising a lot and losing out on a lot of damage/oki/meter. Until you fix that any other changes will have limited impact anyway.
  8. He's so completely different now though. Why does the 5A get credit for anything?
  9. What does it explain?
  10. How is it extremely unoptimized? I just saw Tager unload all of his strongest single hits and keeping proration reasonable at the same time. Any other extensions would create much harsher proration so I'm not convinced you can squeeze That much more damage out of it. I mean sure we could probably stretch it a little more, but proration would likely make it 2 steps forward and a step and a half back. I could see around 7k for 100 meter, but that's pretty situational and expensive. Might even be a stretch since the last air string into the GP was like 1k of the combo damage and you can't have that and MTW. Edit: what people don't remember about 5b j.2C loops was that they barely added any damage to combos. 5B doesn't have good damage and only so so proration.
  11. I highly doubt sj.C j.B 5A is anything close to a good follow up to AC RC. It sounds terrible. Being unable to really combo off AC vs some characters is kinda a big deal.
  12. It was a list not a combo.
  13. I have a feeling that something Like that happened, but I just can't remember it. It is going to drive me crazy. Anywho. Did we ever find out if AC 6C was character specific? I feel like there's at least 1 character it does not work on.
  14. That's not an AC follow up though. You said you could use mag to follow up an AC and that's what I don't remember. I'm not sure if he can loop like in the video, the 6C hits at pretty much max distance.
  15. I've seen mid screen AC 6C before. Also I can't remember magnetized mid screen combos, what were they?
  16. Definitely could have gone farther if he wanted/tried. He had spark bolt if nothing else. He also had not used collider yet, but that might have been correct.
  17. BB and GG have much more sophisticated and complex damage scaling systems than SF does. This allows them more control over general damage because the system allows them to scale much more uniquely per a characters needs. That said such a complex system with so many unique moves and characters tend to have some errors in judgement on how the game will develop. Occasionally a character will scale too much or not enough and damage values can be a bit lop sided, but for the most part I greatly appreciate it over the SF method which is a little too simple and is already inherently biased towards certain characters. Options selects kinda sorta do exist in BB but in a much more limited capacity than SF. The ones that do exist I find very interesting though. Rather than an option select set up, characters in BB have block strings and oki which has more traditional mix ups. Sometimes a read will be necessary and most times rewarded much higher than holding up defense through reflexes. I like Blazblue because it is actually really slow. Much slower than GG (which is slower than SF in several ways). It only seems fast because of versatile cancels and and movement options. I can take it online and keep a surprising amount of the gameplay because of just how slow it is. GG is in my experience a bit more of a rush because it rewards the aggressor. Blocking actually increases the damage you take if you get hit by the mix up, and you get super meter when even approaching your opponent. Many characters have very very strong aspects to their gameplay as well so it can feel overwhelming at first. You feel like such a boss when you get the hang of it though. It won't be as easy as BB, but that is because it has an over abundance of awesome.
  18. Is there another video of him doing cool stuff? That doesn't seem to be a video showcasing any combo related talents. Does AC 6C not work on Haz? That would suck. A lot. So bsledge 5A, I don't have any opinions on that. What does everyone else think?
  19. Ok, let us recap for our friend who asked a very simple question. We call this concept same move proration or SMP for short. It is an additional proration penalty (proration being how damage scaling is determined) triggered by using certain moves more than one time in the same combo. For example, Tager's 4D gets a nice wall bound type effect on an air hit in the corner, but because it has SMP doing 4D 5C 4D would have very very bad proration. The amount of proration added on is different on a move to move basis, but they are always penalties. Also wild speculation should not be an acceptable answer to a question like this. What happened guys?
  20. CSEX should be less than 30 dollars right now anyway, can't see why you'd buy anything less.
  21. Crossing under Out of the corner isn't a very big deal because of collider. Speaking of which, I can't help but suspect that collider could have gotten a better combo. 2D 5A is realllllllly old news. No one flipped out because it prorates really bad even compared to other corner drive stuff. I guess it is cute that you get even more redundant magnetism.
  22. 99% sure that they can.
  23. 1+ sounds wrong to me. I mean, there's a lot of variables there, controllers aren't made in a very consistent way, which is one of the many reasons sticks are preferred, but my pads (what good ones I can find) have all maintained quality better than any of my friend's sticks. I play grapplers almost exclusively too (It is also my favorite controller to use in other games too), so I can't help but wonder what everyone else is doing to their controllers that they die so quickly. Because of my condition I also occasionally drop my controller on the floor. Seriously how can you wreck one of those in under 2 years? My Guilty Gear controller still works, and it really shouldn't be with all I've put it through.
  24. Sticks wear out too, you should be prepared to maintain them. At the very least be prepared to replace the spring. I see a lot of people buy a new stick and then wreck the quality and point of having one.
  25. In BB they have bounce techs called emergency techs or something. It is a neutral tech available when landing on the ground from some attacks. It is available much earlier than any other tech options, so it'll come out no matter which way you're mashing tech if those circumstances are met. Asledge doesn't give an untechable knockdown, so if you touch the ground you could emergency tech it.
