If you want the mag you'd probably want to just j.D right before landing. 360C seems to be risky and very vulnerable after a miss
-
Here is an easy way to remember. Oki and wake up are opposites, get it? Ok, so Oki with Tager, should pretty much Never be from that far away? What they heck are you doing to get that situation so often? The problem with holding 6A is that in most situations at most ranges it can be dealt with safely on reaction. So here's the problem with your advice. It is Extremely Specific to a situation that is not typical and you didn't explain it clearly at all. Even now I'm not sure what situation you are describing and I'm not even sure your mix up isn't Solvable. So you need to take a step back and explain the knock down and the mix up. edit:Noel's super blocks throws during invuln frames, yeah. That's why you do 360A instead.

I've stomped plenty of arakune because they were unfamiliar with the match up, but our anti airs suck, and our projectile invulnerable moves suck and he's in the air and/or shooting projectiles at you a lot. It's more about Tager being a weak character than about Arakune being broken now adays. By suck I mean all of our anti airs can get stuffed by his air options even magged he has a lot of control over where he lands and what happens because of his air options. The affects they have are confusing for someone new to the match up. And you can punish sledges with projectiles and Stuff hammer with projectiles.

What do you guys suggest for starting up a community in my area?
Osuna replied to crimsonstardust's topic in Beginner Mode
I Know there was someone else in Eugene(who probably isn't you), but I can't for the life of me remember who. There's people in Portland if that is worth the occasional trip. God this is going to drive me nuts. Anywho, starting a club works better with as many experienced players as you can get at the start, because core membership will have a lot of impact on things going forward. -
To keep terms straight OTG is used only when the opponent is downed. Also they sooo aren't giving 360C any invincibility. That would make it too reliable and they don't like giving him anything reliable.

I think you mean on oki 6A beats a lot of things? That's a weird/wrong way to say it. Also you can totally buffer things during super flashes. I don't recommend holding 6A, simply because it is safer and will catch backdashes in GF esque situations. To IB fenrir, when already blocking during the flash you have to let go of block and go back to it after the flash, which would give you plenty of time to buffer Bsledge. Or you can 360A during the flash so they can't rapid or burst. If you're that close you can IB the follow up also for more meter to 720 if the circumstances are right.
-
The weird part of that is that Danger state should be more damage than that right? It definitely did more, but like...20% more. So that is weird.
-
What is "legit"? He got 4.1k off a FC 50 meter and a burst. That's not efficient at all. Edit: or not? 2C doesn't fatal anymore? I feel like I heard something like that?
-
Previously? You mean Extend? Where a CH 2D gave mag and up to 4.3k meterless (plus tons of meter)? Man I'm going to miss 2D's old proration numbers.
-
I mean, they get the super flash, see the backdash and then punish the backdash.
-
If overdrives are fewer than like 25 frames overdrives would be that OS right?
-
Math says the best punish is actually, Fatal j.2C. Meets other fatal options in terms of initial proration, and follows up high damage move with good p2's (5C>6C,j.2C). It is also faster than 6C if you're close enough, which you should be after Backdashing a DP, the most realistic situation in which a DP misses Tager.

The difference was that AC fling was Super ambiguous because they land on top of you and pick a side really late in the fall. The reason I think it isn't as good is because with the sound off and without particularly trying I was able to tell, before landing, which side Tager would be on for the entire video. The only ones that were kinda close were the bsledge ones ('m not convinced the non-cross up option is as good as with AC), and the one on rachel, which seems to be rachel specific. Just sayin' first glance I don't see how it could be better than a super ambiguous cross up.

I don't think difficulty is something you measure with so much priority when looking at the quality of something, unless you don't aspire to be very good. Nerfing any aspect of Tager in order to make him easier to play is moving in the wrong direction. They don't have to worry about anything till they touch the ground (except purple throws which are y'know purple throws) and they get to see Everything you are doing until they get there. It is pretty much just resetting the GF mix up half the time. I think it is a little suspicious to imply that 2B is an acceptable mix up to a non purple 360B in those situations as well. Barring any changes in hittable/throwable properties, that should be a higher risk mix up than GF is. Some of them might be neat to get 2B as a low with better proration than 5A, but that's 50 heat for a slightly different mix up that can't get That much more damage. Sure it'll drive people nuts for a month and you'll bust up Even More scrubs and new players, but that isn't the kind of Tech Tager needs.

It definitely was very lazily done. Including incomplete games, and games that prior polling showed didn't have a snow balls chance. The list was too long to begin with. I'd have very much liked some sort of more balanced preliminary to decide the games going forward into this charity drive, since 4 out of 4 Tagers so far aren't voting for BB. That'd be enough for me.
-
They could, but if you did the minimum on mag sometimes they floated a lot lower. Higher was preferred because it gave ambiguous cross ups. Bet you a dollar that you can't waste that much time because of landing recovery and downward momentum being to great to get relaunches reliably. AC didn't give more options, it just gave 1 that so far seems to be better than all of these unless there's something in that moonspeak that is really cool.

I'm a little curious what the other tager players think about this whole donate for your favorite game thing. I know that we have very varied fighting game backgrounds, and some of us think BBCP would be too new. Of course it isn't any of my business so no one actually has to say anything but what are/would you donate to if not BB? Or do you like BB so much you don't care if it is really new?

Ragna has and easy to combo hitbox. Jin's is a little weird, but if a combo doesn't work on someone for Tager it is usually on Makoto, sometimes litchi. Edit:, but yes still good news.

Oh. When I GG online had that trouble too. I would always hit the button too early and I'd jump then do nothing or something.

Where's the Beef? A GGXXAC Health Tier List
Osuna replied to Silmerion's topic in Guilty Gear General
Because there are other equal theoretical situations in which that list has different rankings. Your arbitrary calculation of the value of guts is responsible for a lot of the order you have set up. There are other ways of speculating the average value of guts that would make your list look different. -
I don't understand what you mean.

That sounds like a massive scam, also what do they have against breast cancer research? Seems super scummy to me.

Where's the Beef? A GGXXAC Health Tier List
Osuna replied to Silmerion's topic in Guilty Gear General
There so much that messes with that I don't know that's true even though one would think so because of Baiken's crazy high guts. Match ups and battles flow so differently and so many other factor can mess with damage that I'm not completely sure Baiken does live longer, or if she does that it is by any meaningful amount. Comparing across seems weird to begin with, and there are other points on this list that can vary even more wildly. I only chose baiken to demonstrate that guts is much more variable. In the pot buster example her functional life total for that match is lower than 400, which is lower than your lowest range's lowest point. So yeah there are tiers in terms of functional health, but how much you have is different round to round and there is plenty of room for overlap. 180 damage to baiken to get to 240 is more like 174-5 to dizzy. Puts her functional life at 101ish after guts on the extra life. More complicated. They have forced proration, defense, guts, and guard bar. Guts and guard bar can have different results based on small differences you have to gauge visually. BB has hard numbers and simple multiplication only. It isn't hard to figure out BB damage at all. GG damage varies a lot. Guts is actually functional though, which I prefer to BB's method of just dividing the health bar weird. Even if it varies a lot. -
They won't actually Run mlp, just collect the mony. It isn't like people are going to get refunds from breast cancer research.

Where's the Beef? A GGXXAC Health Tier List
Osuna replied to Silmerion's topic in Guilty Gear General
I'll dispute this. You don't get identical circumstances and if you did have identical circumstances you'd have to apply defense too so dizzy would be more like 101, which can be much wider if you change the scenario, or in another scenario Baiken just Dies and Dizzy survives the same beating. The point is defense is guaranteed but you cannot rely on guts to provide such hard values. Especially if deals in low life totals where it might not matter at all. I guess it is nice to look at people in a sorta vague general ranking, but the numbers are fuzzier than this suggests.
