  1. Sup dawg, when you gonna come to Japan so we can hang out?
  2. Yep, what Dragontamer said. Don't even worry about any of the changes yet, we know way too little and I'd personally like to try it myself before even judging. And even then, they might still change from the test to the final version like they did with BBCS (hella nerfed her air damage by like, 2/3rds etc)
  3. I like the fact that Litchi players are whining about their obvious broke characters getting nerfed. Good job guys, thanks for the insight on the mind of an American Litchi player. I also like seeing "I'm gonna quit her if shes not top tier". Good job, you need broke characters to win because you're not good enough to win without a broke character. To the people who realize how absolutely overpowered she was, and are gonna stick with her anyways, props to you guys. To the tier whores, cry more.
  4. Its only a first loctest. I remember the BBCS loctest i went to, noels j.AB dj j.BC j.236C did like, 1900 damage, and then in the final version it does like, 1200 damage. Best to be weak in loctest and then strong in the real version. Hopefully they dont nerf her MORE... I'm not gonna lie, I'm not really very happy with current BBCS Noel, but now I have to hope that instead of being 2nd/3rd worst, that she's not absolute worst.
  5. No I didn't drop BB, I just don't post on these forums. I don't play it SERIOUSLY, but I still play it casually.

  6. I kinda like that setup better...
  7. Maybe the company in charge of it didnt pay arcadia enough money and realized their game is still mad popular and will get a ton of play regardless of whether it's in SBO or not.
  8. There's 10 games this year as opposed to past year's 9 games. I assume they know SBX will be small, so I doubt that it took the spot of other games. If anything, it was probably like "we can just squeeze this in" rather than "This game over Melty"
  9. IMO BB:CT is a waste and I actually hope it gets taken out because it's just not going to get the numbers that it got last year. Last year, it was a side tourney, brand new, and $5. This year, it's registration, old game, and a lot more to enter. I think it'll be best if you leave it as a side event and include something that the community wants (like MB).
  10. Without making ANY other comments, I'll just comment on her air moves: j. ASame as it was in CT, fast...but very very short range. Will get beat by a lot of people's air attacks...(Carl, Litchi, hell even Tager) j. BSame as it was in CT. Her best air tool imho. j. C Solid air tool, if not her best air to air attack. Gives the range that the A/B version lacks. Just gotta time it a little bit. First, j.A is still EXTREMELY good (tho it seems a bit slower to me). The range isn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be, and with Noel's speed and maneuverability, it's still extremely good. The main downside is that you don't generally get a lot of damage from it. j.B is still good at certain heights, but it also has a way smaller hitbox than it used to, so sometimes when you do something that would work in CT, like j.BCB j.BC j.236C, the first j.B will whiff before the lower part of the hitbox got nerfed. It's a really annoying change, more than anything. It still has its uses, but with the lowered hitbox, it makes her previous combos become really awkward to do. j.C now has the ability to be more useful as a counter hit, though. Before if you hit with CH j.C, because it's 3 hits, it didn't matter. Now, thanks to counterhits lasting the duration of the single move, j.C is a lot better and you can follow it up similar to how you followed up a ch j.B in CT.
  11. Shouts: Elvenshadow - Thanks again for organizing this. I know what a pain that sort of thing is, and the fact that you did it on your vacation deserves a lot of thanks! Grats on winning GG, and thanks again for being the man behind it all. Thanks for eliminating me in a VERY close match in SFIV, too. You were too clutch, and I panicked, and you got it. I guess GG won over BB in that match, haha. If you come to kansai, just lemme know, and we'll definitely hang out again! Hopefully next year I won't be in the middle of moving like I was last year when you came. Geronimo - Man, you pretty much seemed to be working the ENTIRE time. Mad props to that, I don't even remember seeing you play anything, but thanks for all the hard work, and for running SFIV. HeartNana - You are one well dressed cute half-asian. Your posterboard brackets were mad sexy, too. Capps - Great job running MB singles and teams. It was great seeing you again, and hanging out sat nite/sun was def the highlight of my trip! <3 fLoE - Thanks for teaming with me in BB and SFIV! You were mad clutch in BB, and grats on SFIV. <3 Meta - Man, I always hate losing to you, but it's that motivation that really makes me want to get better in games. Thanks for always playing me in the games, and for really motivating me in FUC and MBAA. <3 Orka - Man, I talk to you like, everyday online. What else can I really say? I owe you a lot of thanks for always allowing me to come over and do whatever...whether it be to play fighters, play Dream club, watch K-on, watch railgun, or just straight up hang out and do nothing. I had a lot of fun hanging out, and I really hope you can come visit me in Japan. <3 Jyu - Thanks again for coming! I'm really glad you were able to make it, and I hope it was as fun for you being in Chicago as it was for us to have you there. You showed me many awesome things on your computer, and showed me some cool games and stuff. It was a lot of fun, and that Sat/Sun night hanging out wouldn't have been the same without you. <3 Sp00ky - The godfather himself! Thanks for coming all the way out to Chicago for a tourney. Thanks for owning me in the team tourney, and even tho you were disappointed, GGs in the regular tourney. We played a ton of casuals, and those were a lot of fun. I learned a lot in the game, and as usual, it's always a pleasure to hang out with you. Hopefully you had fun, and can see the awesomeness of im@s and Dream Club. HERE WE GO! <3 Syxx - Thanks for teaming with me! You won everytime I won, so we worked really well together! We didn't win the gold, but I think we did well. Thanks Dad! Ryan-Bill - The man with the 2 first names! GGs in the tourney! You put up a great fight, and it was mad cool to talk to you afterwards about CS and whatnot. You were mad chill, and hopefully you stick with BB, because you're a strong player. Part2 - Good hanging out with you again. It felt so short. But this just means that you have to come visit me in Japan! :D Kobayashi - Sadlifing it up. Good to see you, and nice job beating me in the only match we played that day in any game, haha. Klaige - Good seeing you again, it's always a pleasure to talk with you. You're one of the most down-to-earth guys I've met, and despite all the BS, you managed to make it out. AKA - GGs in BB, and it's always a pleasure to talk with you about games and whatever. Thanks for making the trip from STL and I hope to see you/play you more in future events! Tolore - Good games man, it was nice to talk to you, and yeah, willvo members represent, haha. You know what's up with CS and heck, just about any games, and glad we were able to get a few games in before I retired CT. Ukyo - I wasn't really around for Guilty, but it was still good seeing you, even if it was just for a bit. Emptyshiki - Grats on 3rd in BB, you def seemed to step it up since those days of you learning Nu back in July or whatever. Good games in Melty, also. Frankie - Good hanging out with you for the weekend. I know i gave you a lot of crap about the money, but as I said, I knew you would pay me back (and we have picture proof!). Good games the weekends before, and grats on 2nd in the BB team tourney! ChronoSabre - Man, you enter everything, and you're always so chill. Thanks for hanging out and coming out, as it's always great seeing you! Random1-9 - You're still random. For virtually no experience in BB, you played pretty well, imo. Necrosis - F-Len sucks. Play a better character, lolz. Give in to the dark side like I did. King of Bums - You did really well in the BB tournies, good games, and nice job stepping it up from when I first played you back at Deads. Grats on winning the sexy Chun wallscroll, too. Alphakami - GGs. As i said, hopefully you can see why watching videos and why playing are two different things. Stark - GGs in BB. Thanks for coming out from so far for our tourney! Sugarbullet - GGS in BB and Melty. Mr Man - GGs in SFIV, and nice job running the 3S tourney! Blanka player i played 2nd round in SFIV - GGs, it was mad close, and I thought you had it for sure. I got mad lucky, but thanks for the close game! Spriggan - GGs, you bodied me with your Akuma with very solid play. Fun games, and grats on 4th in SFIV. Marcus - Good job on 2nd place in SFIV. <3 Mac - Why didn't you enter BB? j1n - Man, blame necrosis for the DQ thing, haha. You should start playing more loli games! Bluenine - Pleasure to hang out with you. It wouldn't be the same without someone there constantly giving me shit, haha. Thanks to everyone who entered BB singles and teams! You guys showed the community that our game isn't quite dead yet! I appreciate every single person who made the trip and played in the tourney! Thanks to everyone who came PERIOD! It helped a lot, and it was great to see so many people there supporting the scene! Grats to everyone who won stuff in the raffle! Except the guy who won the BB guide. Going around trying to sell it at the blazblue stations after you won it for free was mad uncool, and if you didn't want it, you should have just not taken it, or given it to someone else for free. And of course, I couldn't have done it all alone, so I have to give thanks to Noel, F-Miyako, and Sakura, too. <3

  13. Travis, I'm sorry to hear that you're getting screwed over yet AGAIN (I think I was in the STL room when you were talking about that in 2008), but I'm really glad you're able to make it. Heck, I made it to that FR in 2008 (which was the weekend of my finals) by doing ALL my final papers in advance, and studying for my last final ALSO in advance. I ended up flying home monday morning and less than 9 hours after being in Atlanta, I was in my classroom taking my final. I managed to get straight A's that semester, too. So for those who make a ton of little excuses, it really shows lack of dedication. Granted, not everyone is as dedicated, but I really don't want people backing out last minute for really dumb reasons.
  14. I'm gonna do Blazblue teams before singles. The 3v3 will come first and that'll be the one at noon. If you don't have a team, we can get you one with other people without a team.
  15. As for venue fee if you're not entering and spectating only, that's elvenshadow's call. But you should really come support the scene and play in at least one game imo. Majors as good as this one don't come around that often, especially for Chicago, so you should make yourself a part of it.
  16. I can't go either for the same reason ElvenShadow can't.
  17. Any more BB MM's? I'll accept MB money matches, too. This is my last time in the states for prolly another year though... BTW BB 3v3 team tourney is single elim officially. $5 Entry The reason is cause half the people said single, and it'll also allow us to run a MB $5 single elim team tourney as well. If you want to "get your money's worth", then do some money matches. The leftover time can be used for money matches with whoever. Get hype!
  18. Vanilla BB is CT? This is gonna be the last time i play vanilla BB seriously, is what I was saying (because after this, I'll be back in Japan playing CS only) There's not gonna be CS at FF as far as I know. If you want to money match in Vanilla BB, I'll definitely do it. FT5 for $20 sounds good.
  19. Anyone want BB:CT money matches aside from AlphaKami? It'll be the last time I play the game seriously...seeing as I'll already have been playing BB:CS for like, a month...
  20. Ok update on BB rules: Blazblue: Calamity Trigger singles rules: Entry fee - $10 per person. double elimination best 2/3 semis 3/5 finals 4/7 must keep same character if you win, may switch if you lose no unlimited characters Rachel glitch banned (is it even in console?) Astral finishes OK button mapping is ok easy specials OFF Blazblue: Calamity Trigger teams: Entry Fee - $10 per person, $30 per team 3 vs 3 format (same as SBO style except its double elim) no same characters on same team (unless it's on a team of people who signed up under the singles list) double elimination (Tenative) both teams will have their first character determined by double blind selection. no unlimited characters Rachel glitch banned (is it even in console?) Astral finishes OK button mapping is ok easy specials OFF And obviously $5 per person/ $15 per team if it changes to single elim. For teams, there'll be a list of single spots that you can sign up under, and you'll randomly get placed with 2 other people who don't have a team either. More details on this when online registration is up. and PLEASE give input on whether you prefer single or double elim for the 3v3.
  21. Sounds good. FT10 takes a really long time tho, hopefully we get time to do this. Try to find me before the tourney starts or whatever. And yeah, I'll accept any other Blazblue money matches as well. edit: I guess I'll register now: Handle: HeartNana Location: Japan Games: SFIV singles BB singles, teams MBAA And yeah, similar to Elvenshadow, I'll be making the BB brackets beforehand, and people registering the morning of will be put randomly against people who are already preregistered and seeded by region. I wont put same region people against each other first but 2nd/3rd round same region matches might happen, but pre-regging will help to prevent against that. And obviously I won't float matches in losers bracket or winners, even if you're playing someone from your own crew. Once the brackets are done, that's it. Teams for BB (3v3) will come right after singles it looks like. (well, it'll prolly start once we get to top 8 or whatever, or once TVs start to open up if we're running low on time). The main tourney is obv double elim, but do you guys want the team tourney to be double elim, too, or single elim? Single elim is shorter, and would allow more time for money matches, casuals, and whatnot, but double elim is the standard. I'll run either way, and I guess I'll run double unless most agree on otherwise. Personally, I prefer single elim, but it's up to you guys. Also 5 or 10 dollars per person? If it's single elim, I say 5. If it's double elim, I say 10 per person.
  22. Thanks! I appreciate it. :)

  23. Sucks that you have to come up with team decisions like that. It would be a lot easier if it was just 1v1, or even 2v2...
  24. My strats against arakune in as few words as possible: RTSD & airthrow
  25. Mike, you're switching from Vampire Loli to Blob? Boo...
