  1. Abuse j.B, j.C, j.2a, and 6a. S'all I got. Oh, and don't push buttons if you can help it. You'll get CH'd.
  2. I was about to propose this one. Eh, doesn't matter. Downtown MTL has everything, so I'm sure something can be found with a bit of Google.
  3. I have a 75% chance of appearing at Foonzo tonight for some FITE. You may or may not expect me to drop in at some point. Brice understands, gentlemen. He's a silly guy 99% of the time, just like Vash the Stampede. But deep down, he's really an inordinately skilled prodigy possessed of superior intellect. You don't mess with the Brice. Yeah, no move list was a grave omission, no matter that other things had priority. There's just some stuff you can't leave out or else it's going to affect the end product, and this was one of them. The hardcore crowd will be forgiving, but casuals...? Anyway, the design doesn't appeal to 'mericans. They prefer buff guys and flashy stuff like MvC and shun the pink-filled halls of an Arcana Heart. There's also the fact the game has the Melty feel. It has the look (and gameplay) of a more niche fighter right off the bat. But as for gameplay and mechanics... flawless. A master at his best. The only criticism that may be leveled here is whether the end result is too manufactured, and did not include enough "wild factor" to be fun. Imo, Skullgirls deserves to trounce anything Capcom has released since SFIV. But it won't because of budget limitations and design that doesn't have mainstream appeal. :< The one true chance SG has of achieving glory is if it gets recognized by top players. If they say "this is some good shit...", then SG has a fighting chance.
  4. MTLers keep warm with burning passion! And Tuques. Can't forget the Tuque.
  5. ^ It's hovering around ~10-15c right now.
  6. ^ Are you, perhaps, doing the loop off throw? It's stricter in that case, and j.2c has to hit lower for 2c to connect properly.
  7. I do 3c if Spike is too close, j.2c otherwise. Simple enough.
  8. I know him as Kakyuu.
  9. :< For serious, though, the amount of effort put in SG is, frankly, amazing. In-game graphics are gorgeous, animation is stellar, and it moves quite well. Plus it's made by a guy who understands what players want. It's sort of a Melty/MvC hybrid fyi. I'm just concerned about its staying power. Imo, it deserves recognition and a solid scene, but the devs made choices that limit its appeal. I'll at least definitely be playing it alongside BB/GG.
  10. Dustloop or corner loop? There's been no change to j.2c as far as I know, but j.2a has had untech frames added to it.
  11. But it loses flair and authenticity. The dub may be good, but you lose something in the process. Maybe I've just been scarred as a guy who went to French school most of his life. Arnold Schwarzenegger dubbed in French = forever bleeding ears.
  12. I'm dropping BB/GG, and maining SG. SG > GG > BB >>> AH3 >>>>> Anything else > [>>>xN] > Recent Capcom. DealWithIt.png
  13. Forget Gundam; Skullgirls is here! HOOOOOOOO~~~!!
  14. I never got down the new midscreen Tsubaki combos myself. The execution is just too tight, and the star use is not entirely worth it anyway, unless already close enough to the corner that execution doesn't matter as much.
  15. Good movement demonstrates good space control. It is a passive measure of your ability to control the field without taking any overt offensive action, and keeps your opponent on his toes. Learn good movement with your character, and you might just have an extra edge over your opponent.
  16. At first I was all "EX Lamb is so Nu13 reincarnate". But then Haku reminded me why I like his dmg output and I went
  17. Easier said than done, lol. But yes, I agree. If you have solid combos and hit confirm skills, a couple hits is all you need to win. ----- I need some live training before MAD myself. Any extra study sessions this week just for that purpose?
  18. Meter has nothing to do with it. It's just there to give you more options or damage in combos. It's easy to bait a Haku to spend it as well. On the other hand, what prevents someone from going balls-to-the-wall in rushing you when you have 0 stars is counters (and good normals for help). The LAWD has spoken!
  19. And with money, I presume. Wouldn't you have to lose for that to happen? You've set a paradox for yourself, I'm afraid. A catch-22.
  20. ... Ya'll pervs. You can do it! Run if you have to! The spirit of Tamashii will carry your soul!
  21. This is the best I've seen in vids as well. Maybe you could even do j.B -> j.a -> etc. carry after 2c? Not sure if it does more dmg, though. Best I know for corner Enma CH: E. CH -> j.2c -> 5c -> 2c -> loop x2 -> j.2a x2 -> AD j.2a -> j.C -> 5c -> 3c
  22. I disagree. Charging puts her in a vulnerable state, and is necessary for Tsubaki's offence. It's something you have to actively keep up on or else you're gimped as a Tsu player. On the other hand, Hakumen threatens his opponent's offence simply by having counters. It's a passive deterrent since he doesn't need to use them for them to be effective, so he can still be a threat just moving around the screen doing his own thing. Tsubaki's charge just puts her in CH state. It's not comparable, imo.
  23. Sure he does. He's probably the only character who can be offensive while being passive, which means he can afford to dick around and do wtv. He can still dish out 1 - 3k without stars, and run a rudimentary mixup or sorts to keep his opponents on their toes while building up stars. Then you land a hit -> corner carry -> corner combo for 4 - 6k -> Hakumen Ween! Elementary, Mr. Mac. :D
