Happy Easter ya'll. Hope the evening went well yesterday. I only see 9 entrants, so I think Friday was really the big day for everyone. It still sounds like you guys had fun and that's what counts.

I'm starting to be impressed by Haku's corner damage. It's much higher than what you can efficiently get in CS1. Just take Kakyuu's first match with Plat. 5c starter into renka(1) -> Kishuu -> 6c -> etc. does 6k on its own. Granted, that's off 5c, but it's still pretty high damage when CS1 loop with 2s did ~4k+. You can also get creative and still net yourself some 2.5-3.5k (mid-screen going into corner loop) by modifying the combo with minimal star use. Yum~ I like new Haku's combo options. By the way, is that a charged 6c you're supposed to do? It looks like it's only half-charge, but it's good to know.

Almost any move of Haku's on CH -> 3c -> 2b -> Gurren -> hop 5b -> j.a-b -> dj.2a -> dj.C. Damage varies depending on starter, but average is between 2.5-2.7k.

No work today after all aside from some studying for me. :D I'll bring my Ps2 today too, though someone will need to bring his Ps2 controller too since one of mine broke down last time at the HQ. I also won't bring my Ps2 memory card since GGAC+ save file got corrupted. I wouldn't want that to spread to my other files. As for that May 7th Ottawa tourney, I automatically can't make it. I'm starting my regular summer job the Golf Club again on the 4th so yeah. :\

Why would mirrors be different? If anything, there's going to be more 4c since you can combo it. :< (Though that's going to be mitigated by the new ultra-quick Kishuu. )

Yeah, I figured it'd be the case after all since we were there when your Ps3 went lights out. :\ That said, I thought about it and might be able to bring my own Ps3 as replacement. No guarantees on this one since my setup is a bit complex. A quick solution is that Brice brings his cables and I just hook up my Ps3 using those. It'd save me the trouble of having to re-do the whole system. Could you do that for me, Brice? If yes, it'd be easier to see if I can bring it. No promises (I share the system), but it should be possible then. EDIT: Ok, if Gil brings his, then problem solved. :P

You can always train yourself to j.D overheads. Counter is there to punish overly predictable and aggressive players, so be sure to use it to keep them off you. That's the one.

Dang it, my GGAC+ savefile got corrupted. Had to erase and restart. And it was 90% complete, too. Well, at least all my other saves are fine and that's what counts. It'd suck to lose my RPG files, but I've played those game to hell and back so I'm good. :] My Slayer is coming along. Links are a pain and I can't combo into IAD j.D yet, but he should be decent once MAT VIII comes around.

^ If anything, mag is much more precious now. Midscreen damage is crap so you don't want to spend for corner carry when you have perfectly good options. Off any counter, I'd say meterless is now the way to go. So something like: counter -> 2c -> j.2a -> AD j.2a -> j.C would now be the bnb. Save the mag for corner oki/mixup options to really dish out the pain. And yes, Shippu is a waste. If they upped its minimum damage it would do much to make it more optimal, but it's not the case.
