  1. Whoa, it's about time I heard from you? Are you finally in BC? Also, one of our top Northern California Arakune players - CopperDabbit - might be coming up to Canada.

  2. I heard that Daisooke is coming to town during some fanimoo convention on May 29th. :3 Breakdown of May: 5/1: NCI GGAC, MBAA, T6 Ranbat 5/8: SVGL BBCS Doubles 5/15: N/A 5/22: SVGL BBCS Singles 5/29: Fanimoo
  3. Who is the easiest character to use AND win games? Potemkin...hands down.
  4. I would be excited if it wasn't the same day as my sister's birthday. D: I have to skip out on the action.
  5. Socal doesn't play fighting games or have jobs. They play Starcraft. :3 As for Norcal, well, we have raging hobos mashing marvel and the only Tsubaki troll in America.
  6. Why get McDonalds when you can get that HOAGIE!? :O
  7. Rin, expect to pay $100+ for the entire fanime con. Tickets are $30? Food is another $40 for the weekend (pay at least $20 per day - that only includes two meals) and another $50 for hotel costs...that's splitting with at least four people. If you want something cheaper, then we'll need to stay at hotels FAR from the San Jose Convention center. That's not including gas. Besides, if you want cheap rates, then you better reserve rooms now. Cause hotel rates will go at $125 for one night on Memorial Day weekend. Also, last year, Aksys brought their - unreleased - BBCT copies for us to play...AND gave merchandise to the winners of the tournament. And, frankly, that's all I ever did at fanime; just mashed Blazblue at the Aksys booth.
  8. Looks like I can scrounge a few people to stay in a hotel. :3
  9. And that is why we don't do drugs kids... :3
  10. I suggest that whoever loses has to wear a furry outfit. It'll raise the stakes to new levels. TBH, I don't even want to do that.
  11. HATERS GONNA HATE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvL_MQCZ_uY&feature=related Red Zone :3
  12. I am, personally, humbled to see Daisuke and Toshimichi come to my hometown. My first thoughts are, "Can I MM Daisuke and Toshimichi to a game of BB/GG?" On a more serious note, my question is, "Every - successful - game designer, or company, have one regret from making their finished product to how they, supposedly, like it. If Daisuke and Toshimichi could revisit a game they muddied their hands in, what would they do differently and how would they do it?" I don't expect this question to be answered here, but I will bring it up during the Q&A panel sessions.
  13. As long as the 5a button works, I can mash - and win - for free. :3
  14. Rin, I have work on weekends. My Tuesdays are my Saturdays...and my jobs are salary-based pay, so I can't exactly skip out whenever I want. But one thing is for certain, I made sure to get July 9th-11th off. The question is...should I go to my best friend's wedding or go to my NEET's friend EVO. And IF I go to EVO, then whom can I crash with? But yeah...I can't take time off of work whenever I feel like it. I usually have to schedule my day offs at least one month notice. BTW, since DAISOOKE is coming to town, who is going to reserve hotel space for FANIMOO?

  16. Wow, this just might be the most hype fanime ever.
  17. That's what I thought. He, supposedly, still needs to get the building up to code. Either way, I was thinking of going tomorrow to check how the construction was doing. Hope I can get in touch with Myung... D:
  18. I'm going to go to the san mateo arcade tomorrow since I actually have a day off. I hope to talk to myung to see his vision to manifest his arcade to greater lengths. Also, the arcade will, more than likely, not be open yet. But I do want to check out how his arcade will look like. in all likelihood, we will move our tournaments there. :3 I can finally play on a head to head cab without bashing my arm against the 1 pl side. :3
  19. Double post: http://www.facebook.com/notes/tougeki-super-battle-opera-/worldwide-regional-preliminary-round-information/108741075825595 So guys. Gamecenter EX - the San Mateo arcade - is, supposidely, open AND hosting SBO spots for SST4 and T6. I was, relatively, oblivious to this and now I'm going on a road trip tomorrow to check it out.
  20. I already post on SRK n' Melty Bread since 2007... and two posts on TekkenZaibatsu Promotional video is always nice like this cat.
  21. Good points all around. I will take note of that and make sure this tournament is separate from our ranbats. Either way, I DO need to know that people are willing to step up to the plate and show that they'll rep their game.
  22. First, and foremost, I just want interest check. Volunteering, and other stuff, will come later. I just need to know that I'll get support from the BBCS/MBAA/GGAC/Tekken/ST community. I DO need someone who has Web HTML and can host a website for Pre-Reg, paypal, and other electronic stuff. I would like to do it, but I have no clue how to get one going. Frankly, I don't have the energy to google-fu, but I'll do it if I have to.
  23. Since this concerns SoCal, I would like to hear your feedback on this cross-post. Feel free to voice your opinions and feedback. Send me a PM if you fear troll wars. *** Thanks for the positive rep Coopa n' friends. So one of my latests epiphanies - in light of recent events - is that there's a lack of showcase for FGs not related to SF4. I, personally, owe a great deal to their community for showing me how to get stuff done. And, in return, I want to show that the BB community won't flake out like what happened in GG @ EVO. I've been busy up to my ass with real life, but I'm willing to put forth the effort to get this minor gig started. So where, you might ask, did I scrounge up the courage to plaster some random minor for a - so called - dead game? Because, more or less, "The games are HYPE and only a handful of people are playing them!" If you beg to differ, then I implore you to come to the NorCal Install GGAC/MBAA ranbats or the SVGL BBCS tournaments. In any case, the games that I want to feature in the minor are the following: - Blazblue Continuum Shift (Main Event) Singles 2v2 Teams 5v5 Team Exhibition (NorCal vs. SoCal) - Melty Blood AA Singles 2v2 Teams 5v5 Team Exhibition (NorCal vs. SoCal) - Guilty Gear AC Singles 2v2 Teams - Tekken 6 Singles 2v2 Teams - SSF4 Singles 2v2 Teams - ST Turbo Singles - PSX? Dreamcast? - Feedback please - SAILOR MOON 5v5 NORCAL VS. SOCAL EXHIBITION Potential Sponsors: - Aksys Games - Koogy 'IN DUST WE TRUST' :3 - Dustloop.com!!!??? :O If you want to see your game stay on EVO's roster; if you want NorCal to be known for fierce FG competition apart from the SF/Tekken/BB; if you want the mainstream FG community to not underestimate broken games; if you want that SAILOR MOON in the roster; if you think that this event is, downright, hype; then I ask - nay - demand that you voice your support for, NorCal INSTALL! Date Pending, but either; Last Weekend or First Weekend of August This minor will indicate the end of the first year's NorCal Install ranbats. After that, we'll be taking a break and resume when we first started the gig - November! As Gordon Ramsay would say, "Damn. I forgot rule #10. You're only as good as your last service."
  24. Since this concerns SoCal, I want to post this here. This post has been cross-posted from the NorCal thread. I would appreciate your thoughts, concerns, issues, or jokes.
