Yeah, I've gotten the HS a few times since that post. I've yet to get the second jumping S though. It's been like 2 and a half hours, this shouldn't be this difficult, ug.

Someone tell me how to do May's challenge 32, it's driving me crazy. Every part up until the air dash, jumping s, jumping hs I can do, although I've screwed up each part aside from dolphin into dolphin probably 200 times. There seems to be no consistency at all as to whether or not hcf p comes out, I do the motion, I see that I did it correctly, but I just get an empty RC. More importantly, why can't I get the HS followup to the S after the air dash? I've only gotten that far maybe 8 times, but I thought that part would be smooth sailing. Also, is this combo practical? Is it easy for people who have played GG for years? What about other new (to trying to play seriously) people? Because if this is an easy combo, I am not using May.

Alright, 24 is not only down, but S ranked. I probably spent at least 20 minutes on it, but once I B ranked I knew I could do better. Basically you need to parry the second you start to see Eddie transform into the saw. Easier said than done, and everyone's reaction times vary, but definitely don't press it any earlier than that. Then you have to wait until Zato is up in your face (which happens quickly, but not instantly) and throw him. The issue with both parts is usually trying to do them too quickly, or it was for me. There is no "Zato's throw", this game is translated badly. No.19 is still impossible and it doesn't seem like something that would ever happen in match, but I'm bad so maybe I have no idea.

Alright, was able to do the IK one, and on my first try! What an easy combo, you can mash all you want. The timing on the air throw one still seems crazy though.

19 and 24 are 'Turn the tide with an air throw" and "resisting simultaneous attacks" That sounds super easy, but I can't get it to work. AS far as I can tell c.s doesn't even combo into 236S, and the enemies health doesn't star flashing until they recover anyway. I need a video...one that isn't the one that is already up on youtube of Ramlethal because I don't understand what I'm seeing in it. From your description it sounds like just activating spinny sword super should do it, but it doesn't.

Ah, thanks, I misunderstood that one after all. I thought you were supposed to throw him AFTER the burst. Also, the safe jump one turns out I was doing wrong too. For some reason I thought I was supposed to do an instant j.c and air block the DP. So those two are down. Still don't understand 24 at all though, and just can't do 19 even though in theory it's straightforward. I don't get the using IK in combos thing either. I watched a video of someone doing it with Ramlethal, but I don't understand why it worked for them. They did a poor job explaining that mechanic.

So I was right about what I was supposed to be doing, I'm just havin an impossibly hard time doing it. Ug. Also, I can't do the mission where you have to air throw Sol, or punish Ky's burst. I don't understand the burst one at all either: it says to air throw him, but then it says you'll have an easier time if you launch him? Crouching HS doesn't seem followup-able at all, what am I supposed to do?

I don't understand what that means though. I tried it like 50 times at least. Every time I either get hit. or am very rare occasion I land and block which is apparently also wrong.

I still don't even understand what you're supposed to do for for the Zato parry mission. Do you parry the first hit, the last hit, some other hit? I don't get it. Also, mission 16. I don't understand what the goal is here. They want you to whiff a jumping S and block while still in the air? Haven't gotten it once.

"Hey guys, this debate is dumb but here's my take on it! You guys are stupid for wanting something you had previously and is still on the disc!" Why do you people even bother posting. Obviously the English version is MUCH cheaper. That is an incredibly legitimate reason to wait for it. If you want to lend me the extra $50 or so I'd need for the Japanese version with DLC, go ahead.

I haven't played this game with any seriousness in years, but if Mu is 'not versatile' then clearly I have no idea what versatility means. [ediit] wait a minute, the versatility rankings are practically mirrored between the two lists...

I know he's supposed to be bad, but I just got CP and I'm liking him. Is it worth learning stuff now, or is the update going to totally change how he plays? I looked at the change log and nothing really jumped out at me, but I've only been using him for like an hour so maybe I'm missing something significant.

I really do miss the personality CT had, looking back. It just felt so 'new'. And Carl was the perfect gimmick character at the time, because (even though this wasn't exactly true, everyone seemed to think that) he was borderline worthless aside from having an infinite. He had the lowest health in the game, his damage without Nirvana was pitiful, and Nirvana could break. I never figured out how to do the clap loop right though, because it was more advanced than people gave it credit for... -

This seems like something that would exist somewhere, but my google skills are failing me. I found a site that has the English ones, but I want the Japanese ones. Basically, I just got around to playing this game, and I'm using the Japanese dub because I'm studying Japanese and the more I hear the better. The problem with that logic is, I can barely understand a word anybody is saying because I am bad at Japanese. Regardless, I'm curious about it.

Denjin Haouken and Stungun Headbutt. Those aren't supers, they're gimmicky crutches. I especially don't get why some otherwise good players use them. It's like, pick a real super? ...oh right, Blazblue, yeah it's been a while. Lag Tagers (so, all Tagers), and Ragna players who start every match with hell's fang, even if it gets stuffed every time. (so, most Ragna players)

Haven't watched this yet, but the ANN reviews (plus one I glanced over in the comments section) made me want to kill myself, with their derisive, smug, self-satisfied tone. I won't deny for a second that BB follows a lot of tropes, but geeze, if the show was bad talk about why it was bad, not why you don't like the character designs / names.

Haha, that's great, Sarah gets a modified version of outfit B, with the stupid giant pumpkin hat that is for some reason a universal customization item in VF5FS.

Making my rounds to this forum to complain about how impossibly terrible I am at this game, and how it took over 20 matches for me to get one win. Granted, most of those were team matches due to the matching issue, and I've found I do a little better in one on ones. Akira is the only character I'm not totally awful with, and even though I've always liked Kasumi and Ayane (as in, when I casually played DoA2 and 3) I can't use them at all in this. Playing the CPU is super misleading, because it makes you think you're allowed to use strings.

The other day, there were a bunch of people in the SAC at Temple playing like 5 different fighting games, none of which I cared about. Bleh, even if they had been playing BlazBlue I'd complain, since I'm super out of practice. I should just bring my Xbox, and play VF by myself until I get bored and leave.

I thought it had 6, or 8. I have the Arcadia lying around somewhere, but w/e who cares. I'm not sure why you people are so dead-set on killing people off. Speculation is pointless, so you might as well specular more positive things. I doubt story is going to have much, if any impact on the returning roster. Maybe the initial roster, but not the final one. -
