  4. I agree, and I would add that he has the best Fatal Counter move in the game (j.B incase people were scratching their heads).
  5. Look at the top of page. You'll see a bunch of tabs: Home/Forums/Awards/...etc. Click the frame data tab. It'll take you there. I figured its best to tell you to go where you can get all the info you need. by the way. j.A has 5 frames of startup. Thus its very fast.

  7. Its all about your mentality. When I first played Carl I saw nirvana as my main tool so it was no problem for me to use her often. But I've come across Carl players who try to use Carl solo-like and use nirvana as an afterthought. That is definitely the wrong way to play him.
  8. Yeah the 5th loketest was not the final product. Notice how Nirvana's defense and meter usage nerf came out of no where to all of us. TheEssWord: Yeah just so you know cantible is now untechable. So you can do a whole bunch of shenanigans. Although I have not seen that setup yet.
  9. His high damage combos (5k and up) that involve volante AND 4D require stupid amounts of execution. But all of his 3K combos and lower don't. If you can do those then he'll make a for a fun secondary. How are you with Negative edging?

  12. Hows is Hakumen NOT a troll character? The moment he got 4C and the new j.C he completely upgraded (downgraded depending on your perspective) to troll status. Plus theres the ridiculously fast startup of his counters.
  13. that is pretty optimal. The only way I can think of to make that combo more damaging is to do 4D instead of volante since it does more damage. As far as I'm aware yes.

  18. Even our best players may not have the proper matchup experience against some characters due to such a spaced-out scene.

  20. This would only be a good thing if Carl could go into some really strong combos with 3D so early in a combo. Otherwise there would be no point to this considering how Carl could go into a full fledged combo before ending it in 3D instead of just going straight into a 3D.
  21. Well no. Even if Nirvana is in 3D range you're not always gonna be able to do the j.B-j.2C loop because Carl will be facing the wrong way sometimes. Incoming all of the other mixups that Carl is known for. Besides the unblockable setup is only exploitable on characters without a non mashable DP. I see a difference in the Carl players when I watch videos. I'm seeing different strats, and mixups and combos. For instance: Even if Nirvana is no where near Carl and he lands a Cantible, he can teleport her, and then carry the opponent 3/4ths of the screen to the corner as seen in the video I posted or If you want to stay mid screen, thanks to 22D and 4D you can still do a strong combo and have the opponent stuck between the 2 of you for more fun. I have ideas of how we can incorporate atleast 3 of Nirvana's moves in a combo.
  22. I'm sure the opponent would land on the ground before Fermatta came out. Carl can only do a super when his sprite can actually go into that respective super's animation. In other words Carl won't be able to do fermatta until near the very end of Cantata. But interms of getting the Cantata to actually combo, maybe 6A or 2C? They may have more hitstun than 5C. I've seen both of those work especially since Cantata's startup is dramatically faster. There was a video where Carl did 2C- Cantata and the it hit the opponent while they were still going upward from the 2C.

  25. Most fighting games have option selects. A universal option select in BB would be the Throw Tech/Barrier option select. While blocking press ABC. If the opponent tries to throw you you'll break it. If they attack then you'll barrier it. This prevents you from whiffing a throw animation and getting counter hit for it. Of course this option select can be baited as well. And there some character specific option selects as well.
