  2. Well as soon as videos start to surface we can finally put atleast some of the speculation to rest.
  3. This is all very interesting. Carl is still looking like he's going to be a beast. The ground bounce on 3D is interesting like you said Mascarpone. I imagine that the hitstun on either 3D or 6D may not be long for the sake of preventing inevitable shenanigans. 6D blow back in my opinion is a nerf as it will make follow ups a lot harder like it is with the current 623D. But then again who knows IT'S CARL AFTER ALL. Carl being able to dash and do air moves is kind of silly. And quite honestly sounds too good to be true. There's a major nerf somewhere in hear and that has to make up for something that (on paper) seems really good.

Carl +Sister attacks cost less meter, gauge recovery is faster +Forward Step has more range, now cancelable earlier into "normal techniques" (whether this means normals or specials, I don't know, but Forward Step j.a sounds really dumb, gonna ask on the blog) +On airhit, it's easier to get all the hits of Fucco -Using the sister multiple times in a row costs more meter -3D groundbounces (wat) You see, there are some misconceptions here. From What I've read, Nirvana's meter usage when doing moves was toned down. This is good. The kicker however is that the amount of meter she consumes by doing two or more consecutive attacks without turning her off has increased X__X Basically our zoning and rushdown is improved, but lockdown pressure and combos may have gotten hit a little. I'm not sure.

  9. Blake do you mind giving me a typed explanation of your problems with Carl's pokes. Carl's 6A is getting nerfed in CS2+ and people are flipping out. I'm not happy about the nerf but I'm not too worried. Regardless I told the Carl players that Carl will still be alright. Basically I kind of agree with you on the quality on his pokes.
  10. People are underestimating Carl's pokes. Yes they have crappy range but the thing is their priority is incredibly high because a lot of his pokes are disjointed. 5B is AMAZING!!! Plus you add in Carl's zoning (ie hiding behind Nirvana). While Nirvana is doing 6D, 4D, 8D, or 623D, Carl can j.A his oppnent if they get through or vivace or glide thow away. CS2 6A which is amazing (and I will miss it) just makes things worst. Whats more is all the ways for Nirvana stop an opponents offense even if Carl is blocking or getting hit. Its kind of unfair to be honest for a lot of characters (of course there are some characters I couldn't care less if I screw them over). Plus jump back j.B is such a good zoning tool against advancers since its hit box is so big. I'm just always fishing for a counter hit. With all of that, I guess the developers felt that something had to give. So they nerfed 6A. I hope it will atleast go back to CS1 status. 6A was still decent just not as good as it is right now. TO SUM THINGS UP: If you stay outside of Carl's range you're doing fine. However, if you're in his range you better respect him.
  11. Yeah I'm sad about the 6A nerf but happy about j.2C. Although I think being able to crossup in the corner is a universal change. Some characters will be able to take advantage of it better however.

  14. ahh I didn't think about it jump canceling resetting the rule. In that case, I don't mind them doing away with multiple j.2c's per jump as long as he can do another one during his double jump.
  15. Architecture In regards to me playing Carl. Yeah I knew some of you guys wouldn't be too happy about that considering how you have Ivysaur. But thats life. Carl players are still rare I feel.
  16. Carl doesn't need need 6C tampered with. Haku vs Carl is fine as is. The whole 1 j.2C in the air thing may only be temporary until Arcsys can figure out what to really do.
  17. Hey guys just coming in to say hi. I'll be attending Georgia Tech for Grad school so I'm really excited to get to know you guys and play you in the future. I play BB (Carl), GG (zappa), and Marvel. Where on GT's campus will the weeklies beheld starting on the 26?

  19. Man that game sounds really anime. It should should feel right at home for DL. Glad you're enjoying yourself in Bearland, Japan loll. Hope your 4 week internet is worth it once you get it.   22. I don't know her story but after seeing her in a giant Tagerzoid I would imagine she would play mech style. That's my guess.
  23. Relius Clover for BB. You know I'm gonna be playing him. I can't believe Arc Sys would give me my favorite character design twice in one game... again!
