  1. Who cares. God forbid people have different taste than you.
  2. GGs, I thought you did alright. I don't think I'm that good myself so I didn't think anything of the "OK" thing. GG, and sorry for leaving the first time. I sent a friend request to EPIC POTATOCHIP cause of his other message and he asked for an invite after I joined your room. I figured it'd be better for 5 of us to play at once instead of the 4 of us, so I 1v1'd with him instead. I got robbed (twice no less), lol. GG though.
  3. What if your character can't mash their jab? And don't have an anti-air? And get bodied the majority of the time air to air? And she can low profile under your shit? And she can avoid D Nails like they are non-existent at neutral?
  4. Just as another suggestion if people don't have that option or you don't want to wire money, you could just ask if they want a gift card to places like Amazon, Best Buy, or even a PSN card (off Amazon as an example). When you buy them you can just have them sent directly to the person's email. Just putting that out there.
  5. Makes me feel kinda special that I've had a decent connection with almost everyone I've played against even though my internet is slow as hell.
  6. I still plan to play him but...... this is too good.
  7. I just want to say, I can't wait for Azrael. That is all.
  8. Menus? Really now? NAT 2 typically means you are connected through a router/what have you and not directly connected to the internet line.
  9. I wouldn't think you were weaker than me though. And I don't really go for it every round anyway. I mean if I'm playing a good number of matches against one particular person, I'm going to try and do different things and enjoy the matches and have fun. Although I'm not sure how using my character's moveset is screwing with someone anyway, lol. People shouldn't make up some special set of rules when playing the game, like one particular Ragna player who used to complain about FRKZ as well, lol. Besides that, I know it's been brought up numerous times in the past but I'll say it again, there's no way for me (or anyone) to know whether or not I should "go easy" on someone or not. Particularly because some people don't want you to do that, and others might. So unless someone personally tells me to go easy on them I'm just going to play the way I feel like cause it's just a game meant to be fun. Half the time if someone goes easy, people will say they're trolling, so it is like a lose/lose scenario you can't win, so I just play. Just my thoughts on what was said. Hopefully it doesn't derail the thread further.
  10. Too bad the Akira-Shiro vs. SKD ECT gem is gone.
  11. I don't know about everyone else, but I actually think he's pretty good and he can play multiple characters decently/good. I sure wouldn't call him sub par personally but that's my own standards. He just tends to say some stupid stuff.
  12. Don't expect to see it that often. His combos have a fairly linear route of what you can do at least in regards to using Valiant and Hornet. So there's only going to be specific instances where you'll do it, in which case the opponent just has to know not to burst there. Unless you plan to go completely out of your way to try and bait burst with it, otherwise it is just going to be a coincidence when it happens just like it was in that example (which he got nothing from it anyway).
  13. That was crazy. Incredibly situational combo but at least knowing it works is a good thing.
  14. I think you answered your own question. At least try and show some skill/effort when playing the game.
  15. Didn't we already discuss this? "OD BHS: *OD version of BHS has full body GP during start up. Can follow up with 2C on CH close to the corner.(character specific) 22C and phalanx work, too. *Leads to about 9K for a weak hit confirm by the time OD runs out. OD BHS CH>OD BHS does about 5.7k damage." Thought I already added that stuff to the first post but apparently not, it's there now. We discussed it ~10 pages ago when Nokita posted it from the jbbs.
  16. Like a lot of things, even if it is situational it is still something to definitely consider if it serves a purpose (like ending a match). I haven't been paying attention to damage off stuff, but if Command Throw > RC > OD does more potential damage than Command Throw > RC, then there's no reason not to consider it if it will win you the match or maybe a needed round at the end. Just think of all the comebacks that have happened in fighting games even when the player had no life left. Knowing what to do with potential stuff like that will avoid those situations entirely (generally speaking). Now if you ask should we do it mid round and it isn't going to be a kill combo, I'd probably say hold off on it. Just my two cents. wtf is up with you double posting? Seriously, you do it all the time lol.
  17. When the GGAC+R update actually comes out on consoles.
  18. I don't think that's necessarily true, I mean he went and destroyed all the Cauldrons and killed all the other Murakumos prior to Nu as well. Or at least the other Cauldrons since maybe Nu was the only one that actually got finished(?), I don't know. Wasn't he surprised to see Nu actually looked like Saya when he first saw her, meaning it was an afterthought of him already being there for a reason? Like Jubei or Rachel probably explained what's going on, but I can't remember all the details or if that was actually mentioned. But it's my understanding he had a purpose being there and had already been to a bunch of other ones, and this one just so happened to have Jin / Nu / and everything escalated quickly from there lol. Maybe someone else can clarify.
  19. Doesn't he go after them cause of you know...the Cauldrons / Murakumo units, to put a stop to the Black Beast coming around again?
  20. Going to mention this here in case people haven't seen it. PSN is going to have maintenance tomorrow from 11am EST to 11pm EST. All you have to do is make sure you sign in to PSN at some point between now and 11am EST, and you will still be able to get online apparently during the "down time". http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/01/15/psn-maintenance-scheduled-for-thursday-january-17th/
  21. TCL has really good P1 so that is part of the reason they go for it. Not to mention crossing up with teleport then doing TCL is in fact "fast" and would be hard to react to since his forward dash is special cancelable as C0R mentioned. So at least there's some reasoning for doing it. I do not think his backdash is cancelable however but we aren't talking about that. If I were to guess, Tiger is probably slightly + on block, Cobra is probably 0 or very slightly -, and Leopard is most definitely punishable.
  22. I find this method tends to lead to problems, and people DON'T end up doing their matches or people get disinterested from having to wait for others to do their matches. If you have a set date / schedule people can either show up or they can't but matches at least happen (assuming enough people show up). I've seen quite a few tournaments go unfinished. One time I even offered to help finish a tournament and got "yelled at" for it, but that's something else entirely. The only time I see this method as a choice is if people do decide to do an specific league of players (like the Topanga League as mentioned), but I still find it flawed going that route. Again, look at LK's tournament, this was left up to the players to do and it fell through. Instead I think even that format should still follow a set schedule at least for a group of player matches per week. Honestly speaking, no matter what is decided there's going to be flaws or problems due to the nature of netplay and different people's availability. As for length of a "season", I'd say just do it as 3 months. If it is decided as twice a month, you get 6 tournaments which seems like a reasonable amount, and considering the general "hype" length people tend to have these days I think 3 months is pretty good. If it ends up happening every single week, you get a ton of tournaments in 3 month span. This way the rankings don't drag on before a "winner" is determined, and then everything is reset entirely once you start it again. For scheduling no matter what is decided some people won't be able to play, so you could say rankings are already going to be skewed by those able to play. If you decide every week, you could do something like 6pm EST twice and 9pm EST twice. If you do it twice a month you could do 1 and 1, or just outright decide specifically 1 time. Doing 1 time does mean you would get the same players available to play in most cases, while doing multiple times gives more variety but can be considered flawed since players who can be available more often on both days get an "advantage". Can't really give you an answer for this, that's up for you to decide.
  23. I didn't mean Xie for that part, I meant just other fighting game sites as a whole. But Xie did Beginner Mode if you haven't checked that out.
