  1. I already told you that his damage ONLY comes from spending a burst and/or tons of meter. If he hits you with a CH 5A, he just gets small damage and oki. An antiair 5A results in a jump loop for somewhere around 1500-2000 damage. Shall we discuss Mitsuru damage? lol
  2. Ok, I'll bite. It's still R/P/S. On your wakeup, his options C cmd grab > normals, evasive action D cmd grab > normals, dp dp > normals 5A > jump aways dp = dp Your options that beat his... dp > normals, C cmd grab super > normals, C cmd grab, D cmd grab block > 5A jump away > C cmd grab, D cmd grab backdash > dp evasive action > normals dp = dp
  3. Kanji can knock you down and not get much for it, especially against characters with air unblockable dp's. Without fatal counters or a shit-ton of meter, Kanji is only going to do 1500-2000 to you. You and Star use characters that are his worst matchups, so all I can say is to play the matchup right. Zone him, escape the corners, repeat.
  4. Sounds good. You're doing God's work, son.
  5. Damnit Chandler. Where's dem P4A vids?
  6. Casuals don't happen when the tournament ends at 10 or 11. It's not people dodging anyone. lol I trust Milln to fly through this next one where everyone will have time for casuals at the end. It'll be awesome.
  7. Nothing weeaboo. I plan on winning this next one.
  8. The only casuals open should/will probably be SF4, KoF, or Marvel, and those should max at 2. I see no point in taking away a good P4A setup that could be used for tournament and making it a P4A casual setup. It's time we put on our big boy pants and just not play during tournaments until our match is called.
  9. Aaaaaaand there goes my perfect ranked record. I lost to the world's worst Kanji... TWICE. Mirror matches are the bane of my existence. This dude literally beat me with dp/cmd grab/236C. I lost r/p/s to a tard.
  10. That awesome moment when you're killing an online Yu with only command grabs and his navigator makes the comment, "This is the same thing over and over!" Also, 13/13 in ranked. Almost lost to a dude on my friends list who uses Liz, but timeout saved me during his combo.
  11. Eh, no biggie. Next time, just make it a rule that if a tourney match is over, they must get up and report. If not, then DQ. It may be best to only run one or two casual stations and tell people to rotate the game in it (KoF if people want that, Marvel, Persona, etc.). It may piss people off, but they should understand that the tourney will end faster, leading to more casuals. THAT'S WHY I KEPT MISSING j.A AFTER overhead -> launches!!! Seriously. I missed my fatal launch combo four times in the tournament, and it's really easy to do. You'll see two of these mishaps in my matches against Star and Chandler.
  12. First, I'm going to do the small negative part of my post. This tournament took ALL DAY. Normally, I wouldn't mind, but I did have other plans that was forced to be cancelled. It also affects our out-of-towners too, since they have to drive for hours back home. The problem, as I saw it, was setups. Too many casual setups were up at the beginning of the P4A team tournament. We should've at least had 4 or 5 setups for teams alone, until it got down to the end of it. Okay, shoutout time. Milln - Good stuff running everything. Thanks for spotting me venue. And thanks for being an awesome partner in teams. Again, we both lost in our matches, so you can't just blame yourself. Hell, I beat Patrick like 20-0 in casuals, then he beat me in a single match in teams. Download'd. Chandler - Unless it's at EVO or Final Round, I will never take a free dq win. I have to earn that win to get it. GGs in our matches. I can't believe I got timed out several times. That matchup is kind of annoying, but it showed me my mixup game was weak. I had you scared for most of the rounds and you weren't even dp'ing. I should've taken that opportunity to go for grabs more. Nice job getting 2nd! Doro - BUY THIS GAME! Thanks for helping with brackets when Milln had his tourney matches. Grimstar - Almost knocked me out after beating Chandler? You're like Carbon Monoxide... a silent killed no one ever suspects. Good stuff dude. P.S. I was legitimately salty during our matches because I couldn't punish your ridiculous movement. LOL Star - I could tell you were salty after our singles match, but it's understandable. You beat me in teams though, so I wanted vengeance. We need to grind out a ton of matches so we can both learn the ins and outs of that matchup. Tad - Dude, you were beating people that were beating me. LOLWUT. I liked learning things from just watching you (236A+B on block into command grab is genius). GGs in our matches, and thanks for doing 80% to me with one move when I was in negative penalty. Naimat - We never played, did we? Well, we talked a lot about P4A, and that was interesting. We'll get some online sessions soon. Volpe - Fighting a real Kanji for the first time is just a learning experience. You'll be making me rage about that 7-3 matchup soon... too soon. GGs nonetheless. Papstr - Always fun joking around with you. Now can we please get everyone on that Japanese fighting game that has a tank. A MOTHERFUCKING TANK?! It's too legit. Zeno - Look at you doing Yu things that completely catch me off guard and do a ton of damage. GGs in singles, and keep it up. Klein - We barely saw each other. You were grinding it in that Gear. Khaos Muffins - Very close matches in singles. All of you Akihiko players play so differently. What works on one player fails miserably on the other. I look forward to playing you in the future. Everyone else, I'll give your shoutouts on SRK sometime, since that's your home base.
  13. Shoutouts coming later, but I just had to say... MAN, THAT 6K KANJI COMBO FOR THE MATCH AGAINST CHANDLER GOT RECORDED AND WAS SO HYPE! Can't wait to see that again.
  14. See Mitsuru vs Kanji. It's the exact same, except Kanji can't do much. lol
  15. Tournament is tomorrow. Birthday is tomorrow. But I'm too depressed to even care right now.
  16. Milln saw my Kanji action, pulled me aside like he was fixing me up with some top-grade extension cords and said, "So Saturday. Doubles. Me and you." I nodded in approval and we brofisted at 5 a.m.
  17. Jackie and Keith, I wanna play you guys on netplay today (need Labrys and Yu experience). Gimme a time that's good for you and I'll hop on then.
  18. Elizabeth, Chie, and lots of Kanji in this 2 hour high level session. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wwYwYu-Bt4
  19. People aren't used to a grappler having a reversal yet, just give it time. It's even worse because the reversal leaves that awesome status effect to keep you in place. You can't blindly rush the grappler in this game... unless you're Chie.
  20. Thanks guys. I'll keep this stuff in mind and practice it.
  21. What's the deal with 5B in combos? 5B 2B feels kind of random sometimes (using same timing, misses sometimes). Also, 5B 214C is inconsistent for me too. I saw Japanese players using it for tick throw setups, but 5C comes out frequently. Is 5B cancellable? Is this a tight link? Or, is it just input shortly after 5B ends.
  22. Too awesome. I played long sets with everybody and could tell by the end of the night that I was twice as better as before (same can be said for everyone else too). Chandler's Yu was making people rage, but we were all learning ways to deal with the shenanigans. Klein's Liz is looking solid. Doro doesn't even have the game but already has Chie combos down. I could compliment everyone singularly, so I'll just say this: We didn't have a single scrub in there mindlessly pressing buttons. Everyone had a general understanding of how their character plays and what to do. GGs to all. It was a blast, and I'll see you all next saturday at the new Game Galaxy.
  23. You guys wanna see my 7k combos tomorrow? WOOTWOOT
