from SRK SB thread (Ghaleon): The gift-shop area is accounted for already. btw all those interested in side games don't have to worry about bringing a CRT TV, just a system/game. The main problem is floorspace. Harmon, Fugee and I will try to figure out how to accommodate as much side stuff as possible. We already have 20 stations accounted for the main game of the day (MvC3/SSF4) so we'll try to do the best we can for everyone! Also if you hash us on FB or Twitter, please use #SBVI -- that matches with "6" and "Velocity" (although we've officially away with numbers in the event name since SB:R last year) (emphasis added)

SHO(MA), Shou(FA) vs Tenkasu(AN), Jonio(JO) Raimuki(AN), Kishitaka(SO) vs Natsumi(PO), Sugiyama(SL) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UhHNVeiDvc ^Is this Sugiyama the same one that plays Necro in 3rd Strike? I didn't know he played GG if so.

so going to go ahead and cancel the thing for tomorrow. will try to reschedule soon i hope.
-
why you no like basara? when are y'all available. maybe try to schedule another one soon, but if it's on a saturday, AL is booked solid until SB, so it will need to be elsewhere.
-
ok, but now i've posted about it, so does anybody know about it now? i think if you know where AL is and you know when saturday is you have all the details you need.
-
Eric, we playing GG Saturday at AL. You can come?
-
Yo! GG at AL this Saturday. You guys know about this yet? I only talked to Chase so far:(
-
You guys, would a random Friday at AL be even possible for anyone? I'm doubting it, but I thought I'd ask since that's when Jesse's got nothing shakin'.
-
So just kinda throwing this out there but Fridays are basically bad for people coming to AL right?

Hokuto no Jersey thread: Fist-pump of the North Shore

You're cool dude. I just miss you guys. Just got a new job, so maybe I'll be able to afford an NEC or something more out your way. -
Right now it sounds like Friday night, Eric finishing up later in the weekend if we can't get it done by closing time Friday. It's not 100% confirmed yet though so stay tuned. Also, Chris said somebody offered to run GG, but didn't say who so I'm kind of waiting around to find out who that was. I don't want to have to run it, but I will if nobody else does.

What's season's beatings looking like for you guys? -
You guys! I really want to play GG! I was thinking about maybe trying to get together and have a GG day some time before SB so we can maybe knock off some rust before the tournament (if there is one). We could do it at AL (though I would not prefer doing it during a ranbat) or maybe in Dayton or Cbus depending on preference and where people are coming from. My first few weekends of October are booked up, and I think most of my September weekends are busy too, but I think I might be available one or two weekends that month. I guess what I'm saying is there's no guarantee that I'll be there, but I would like to get the ball rolling on something in case it is something I can attend. Let me know what's up I miss you guys.

Hey, guys. Just wanted to get the ball rolling on seeing if anybody wanted to play Guilty Gear or BlazBlue at Season's Beatings. I'm definitely not running BB personally, so post up if you want that responsibility, and as for GG, I will run that if nobody else wants to, but would rather play more of a supporting role if possible. So, post up if you want to play GG or BB, and plan on attending Season's Beatings. For more information on the tournament itself, check out the official SRK thread. UPDATE! GG will begin around 7PM on Friday. Gears: Doragonkoroshi Dingofist SH_ (maybe) Sans Protocol (maybe) Kamui Moon Amadeus mikenapalm (maybe) Mac Holland (maybe) BB: SansProtocol Amadeus (maybe) Kenshin6321 mikenapalm (maybe) snipermav prod1gy blackphantom DatBoiSTL blargh (maybe) dhoppler (maybe)

Good call, Kyle. By Magneto Maniac: when guarding in air you can chicken with airdash. use this to escape corner and pressure situations. - learn how to use his airdash and get 2 hits off of it. for example. if you airdash too low, you will be able to only input 1 button. if you do it high OR go around, you can do something like mk hk or mk mp. when you go around i suggest MK then MP (hopefully you can see why by looking at the moves). and when you are above them but high and they are still in front, use MK then HK. if you are too low to the ground you can use LK to hover, then MK, MP, or HK. you can also do LP and HP which i don't recommend. something to keep in mind when using this is that if you're high, you can do THREE inputs using the light attacks. LK, LP, MP or LK, LP, MK/HK. maybe by now you have followed that the LK floats you more and the height at which you choose to attack during the airdash affects what you can and cannot do. - his ground dash is important to his mixup game. you can do the same thing as you can with the airdash in this mode. when they start to get scared, you can hold the dash until you're half screen up and go around them, MK then HK, airdash, whatever. tons of mixups, you can either watch match videos or get creative, the mixups are endless. - one thing about mixing up with jedah is to know it's counters, and what a good subsitute mixup to use that counters the counter, or stops the initial counter that is hitting you. it's hard to explain, but it goes back to basic meaties beat mash/throw and jump beats throw etc. now i know that jump in some cases doesn't beat throw due to high normals but i was just giving an example. adjust your mixups so that one out of 3 or 4 will work in a situation.
