Viola is closer to Amakusa Shiro Tokisada than Litchi, methinks. Gunflamebait or Stunedgebait, you tell me...besides, most tiertrolls I knew played Testament and Eddie.

People call them Shoto because of the old Shotokan name...which is misleading because it sounds like Goro from Mortal Kombat. Last I heard the official style of those types is Ansatsuken or derivatives (Sagat being the Muy Thai exception).

No, I'm pretty sure it was reported as news in THIS thread. I don't actually read skullgirls stuff around here, so yeah... Regardless though, I was thinking said "infinite safeties" applied to MVC3, but perhaps not UMVC3 yet...

That sounds interesting on paper but...can they really replicate Ken's kick feints in a Tekken style? Or Ryu's different mix of Ansatsuken punches? Basically make a legit fighting style out of a fictional one? I mean it's Karate/Judo, but it's NOT Karate/Judo, if you catch my meaning.

Methinks this only applies to fat stun hitboxes. That and even if it is an Infinite, didn't they once say there are safeties in place to prevent it from being easily repeated in a match?

I don't mind doing that I suppose, but Strider is my active main. Has been for most MVC games, we'll see....

Just my observation, Keo-bas, but you tend to dislike or have issue with most mainstream fighters and favor obscure titles that people around here seldom like...just an observation.

Well it tends to be tradition that, whenever two fighting game companies clash, they spar by making two different games. In the past we had: Capcom VS SNK, Capcom VS SNK 2 both made by Capcom with some success. Then we had SVC Chaos: SNK VS Capcom which was SNKP's stab at the crossover...though I'm sure Capcom won that duel. So with this, Capcom is starting the battle with Street Fighter X Tekken...so now Namco-Bandai is on the counter-offensive with Tekken X Street Fighter, probably with Tekken's engine. Which will be the better game? My money's on Capcom, but Tekken has a strong following, so it could be close. :D

I've been a SONY™ Padman for most of my fighting game life, so this changes nothing. ...Except I get to laugh at all the people who play stick and act all arrogant because they do.

Just me saying but...I DO SO HOPE that Mari Shimazaki added some goodies to SCV's Character Creation "closet" so to speak!

Someday we really should make a witty-title fighting game...and publish it.

What I'm saying is...from my perspective (which most people around here think is odd anyway), it's a totally messed up color and design contrast...from the average gamer's perspective, aside from gameplay itself...it looks boring as hell.

Let me put it this way...even if the gameplay was halfway decent, would you want to be kicking ass with a nerd-recluse in headphones that fights like Ken Masters? This game has some really really bad character design flaws. One of which is that most of the characters completely stand out from the shoddy stages they're fighting on, one of which is a direct reverse-rip-off of the India stage in SSFIV. Bright character colors with bland background colors...Complete contrast. I'm a Graphic Artist, but I'm sure any average gamer going shopping for a fighting game would notice this. How would you like it if you were playing a Samurai character and some guy is flying a spaceship in the background? That's the vibe I get from this game.

No seriously...Spectral VS Generation looked like AND played like crap. >_> Putting my hope in a Chinese game that reminds me of Magna Carta, whose only selling point was it's artwork, with 2.5D graphics that aren't eye-grabbing per se doesn't exactly strike me as something I'd add to my Christmas List of fighting games. In my experience, when most designers focus on the look of a game...that tends to be ALL they focus on.

Strider/Zero/Vergil...even if it takes me years, I'll prove I can use this team. Glass/Ceramic/Clay/Plexiglass Cannon or whatever...

I was burned by Sengoku X Basara, I thought it looked nice, but the gameplay was crap...I was also burned by Spectral Souls VS Generation of Chaos, both the visuals AND gameplay sucked... Do you SEE what I have to look forward to here?

In my book, anything that rips off SFIV and looks like KOF combined with SFxT probably isn't remotely as good OR original as any of those games. I think KOFXIII alone would kick it's ass for originality.

I had more fun with Team FK Digital's titles...hell anything in M.u.g.en. is probably better than this, lol

Zero getting buffed just means my "glass cannon" just got sturdier.

I swear, SRK's browsable capabilities just keep getting worse and worse...damn ads.
