  1. Excuse me while I change my undergarments. TIME FOR SWAG BLOOD KAIN COMBOS INTO ASTRAL GUYS
  2. Ah, I hadn't even thought about that. That's true. And in a game like Guilty Gear, where timing is super strict and important, we need the best kind of netcode we can get. And I don't think the problem with Guilty Gear lagging on HDTVs was ever a problem native to the game- I think it was a problem all last-gen consoles had, because they weren't designed to be played on HDTVs. It was really bad if you played with composite cables (RWY), and it was better if you played with component cables (RBGRW), but I *think* there was always just a little latency. Anyway, I don't see why Guilty Gear would have that problem now, considering this version of the game was designed to run on current-gen consoles.
  3. Yeah, I spent some time in Training Mode myself. Sidewinder loops are SOOOOOOOO much easier for me with the 360 controller. I agree, it's definitely the shit. We're still gonna meet after my last class today, right? Also, I'm really starting to believe the problem might be my controller. If I input a directional motion too fast, even though I can undoubtedly feel my analog stick running over the "corner" of the circle, it'll sometimes come out as, say, a 26 instead of a 236. This bothers me. Very much.
  4. Netcode doesn't seem bad to me. I was able to do some FRC's (albeit inconsistently), but I think that's more because I'm still unfamiliar with the timing themselves than the online messing with my inputs. Speaking of inputs, I'm really struggling with how strict Guilty Gear's inputs are. There's a small chance it might be my controller, but about 1/3 of the time I go for a special input (QCF/B, DP, etc.), it'll come out as a normal instead. Maybe I'm not doing exaggerated enough inputs (going from exactly 2 to exactly 6 for a QCF), or maybe I'm not doing them fast enough. Either way, I'm really gonna have to figure out what it is if I'm going to seriously play this game. My execution at the moment is abysmal.
  5. 1. It's the fighting game community. People will always find things to complain about. 2. It's Guilty Gear. The game itself is amazing, so when negative things about it pop up, they stick out like a sore thumb. 3. Don't lie, you know you wanna play Potemkin. 4. Even if you think you don't wanna play Potemkin, you actually do wanna play Potemkin. 5. It's fifteen bucks. For the size of the roster and depth of the game, that's really reasonable compared to most current-gen fighting games.
  6. "http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/Product/GGXXACP/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d802584111dd This came up recently on the Xbox website. Key things to notice is there's no talk about online lobbies. On the overview of it, it says "Online multiplayer 2". So I doubt it will have lobbies. Player matches will be 1v1 like Skullgirls, SF4, and MvC3." Awwwwwwwwwwwww.
  7. Hey, I put hard work into this palette swap. :<
  8. Wayyyyyyyy ahead of you guys. You sure that was a dream? I stuff Latina doppelgangers in my backpack all the time without even thinking about it. Dude, getting 4 trials with a character in KoF is an ACCOMPLISHMENT. Congrats, you've practically mastered the character! I never would have guessed it'd actually be good. Seriously, that boxart/description was deceptive.
  9. Aaaaaand nope. I tried "stacking" a few against a jumping Training Dummy, waited for the guard meter to go down, turned blocking off, and did another one. Still did the same damage. :[ I'm guessing it's Accent Core Vanilla-specific, then.
  10. That is DISGUSTING. I happened to bring my PSP version of Accent Core(+?) with me today, so I'll do some testing in the lab and post back the results.
  11. Did you get some of what Dax was having after all? XD Kyle- In one of my matches, I noticed you mention me "storing" Sidewinders a couple times. What does that mean? I did some research, but I couldn't find an answer. You can't store Clean Hits by getting one on a blocking opponent, can you? That sounds a little too awesome. :P
  12. because Guilty Gear's coming out tomorrow, right? And/or because Artorias of the Abyss comes out today, right?
  13. It's never too late to go back to college !
  14. Agreed on all accounts. And Swap Magic is a disk/tool combination that lets you boot homebrew/applications/emulators/game backups and the like on your PS2. Google's your best friend. I don't know how easy/hard they are to find now that it's a last-gen thing, but it can't be more expensive than three games.
  15. Maaaan, screw your grandparents. It's your birthday, you should be happy and stuff! Besides, we all know you're not a waste of space. I know it's a bit late, but happy one-more-year-until-you-can-legally-drink day! Also, you can get like three games, or one Swap Magic... Hmmm... It's not you, it's the game. P4A is great and all, and I have a blast playing it, but compared to BB/GG, I don't think there's as much depth underneath the surface, you know? Not trying to start anything- I honestly feel like there's beauty in simplicity (it's kind of what my playstyle is based around, haha), and that's what makes P4A great IMO. It's just that as far as advanced tech and combos go, P4A feels more limited comparatively. Fix'd

  17. Dude, I have no idea what Uri just said, but I'm inclined to believe him if he put that much time into typing that gargantuan wall of text.

  19. Oh, and Guilty Gear is uploaded in its entirety. For those of you interested: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_wkJgyNv5Ad3aSoccHqu5n9in0PsZlvk
  20. It's been said that hitstop on pretty much all moves has been decreased, so that should make the game much faster in itself. Just note that this is hitstop we're talking about- NOT histun. They're different. Meterless tools to deal with close range + full-screen mix-ups = S tier waiting to happen (again). I can't see them bringing it back, and if they do, I'd wager the invincible frames will probably be balls. But I guess we'll see. :P The difference is, Blazblue has reactable mixups. And no bullshit assist bullshit. And soon, air 360's/anti-air Spark Bolt/Overdrive -> Genesic to punish ANYTHING. Tsubaki? You poor, misguided soul. XD Maybe she'll be more legit/easier/have some sort of unique redeeming factor in CP. But yeah, Carl is always a legit (albeit difficult character to use) in every game, and Bang has a new super in CP where he PUNCHES HIS NAIL INTO HIS OPPONENT. I'd say they're both main-worthy. :3
