  1. Looking forward to what you fellas can dish out when you all get your JP copies. Also, I'm wondering if the 1 stock 623C > j.236A(w) > j.214D combo I came up with awhile back in CS2 would still be viable. Quite certain some parts of would need to be changed though.
  2. I'm liking the CH 5B combo Kuresu did, and it still consists of our corner carry and some oki as well. Seeing some damage above 3k without Mugen is good news too. Also I doubt having to adjust to the j.D > j.C stuff in corner combos wont be so difficult either.
  3. You forgot about counter-hit 22X series (not the D version).
  4. DP Whiff combos provide Tsubaki with very good corner carry and oki. The damage always ranges from 2.4k and higher, depending on what variation you're using. And you're pretty much guaranteed 1 full bar of stock after the knockdown (two if you're far away enough).
  5. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with Mugen.
  6. The one thing I dont like in her changes after seeing all these videos, still, is her slower 5B. Other than that, "I" dont think EX Tsubaki is bad. It's quite apparent that her game plan has changed quite a bit. And that's something we will have to learn. We need to face the fact that we will be readjusting to our character more than we originally thought we would have to. There's alot of new tech we still have yet to see with EX Tsubaki. Once we get Extend, there's going to be massive amounts of research done, and it's up to us to discover more of her tech. So just hang tight till then.
  7. This might work from an FC 3C as well; FC 3C > 5C 2CC > 236D > Dash 2CC > IAD > j.CC> 5C 2CC > 236B > 214B > 22B. I could be wrong through, I'm still blind as to how much her properties may have changed on her moves. Need the frame data.
  8. So umm, 5B, I guess it's time to change your name to Tsubaki 5C now..
  9. ^ This, I'm with this 100% simply because we NEED to get our hands on the console version and start doing uber amounts of trial and error OURSELVES before deeming this character as "terrible" or "not that great" or "still pretty damn good". And it'll help even more due to the fact that there are more of us around here that are either pretty knowledgeable or very knowledgeable about the game and the character (myself being pretty knowledgeable, and someone like BatousaiJ being very knowledgeable, which is higher lol).
  10. @iPoke: ^ Please keep those types of posts in the other General Discussion.. -_-
  11. I have no problem with you wanting to change characters, or about this loyalty you speak of. I only mentioned your name in the first place because you're so quick to believe this character is already a low or bottom tier character in the new iteration. She could be, or she could be abit lower in mid-tier. We dont know that yet since nothing has been set in stone. Especially in such a short amount of time.
  12. Yeah I've been noticing that too, as I'm always watching more than just Tsubaki's match videos. Obviously everyone didnt receive the same amount of a nerf for their damage, while one or a few received abit of a buff (Ragna).
  13. It's been looking that way, yes. But it's not certain.
  14. The nerf to 5B is the one thing that urks me the most above all her other changes. I dont mind doing abit more to gain charges, and having to be more aerial (which it seems like were going to have to do now, maybe). And I'm not bothered by the damage nerf, everyone practically received that anyway.
  15. I know what you meant. That's why I'm not making any real judgments on anything just because there hasnt been any deeper discovery as of yet. People (like Dusk) want to haul ass because we cant rely on super easy 5D taps for charge among other things. Yeah the nerfs are bad but NOT horrible.
  16. Extend IS a new game..
  17. *Still waiting on console releases*
  18. ^ This here, actually makes alot of sense. I've been considering the reasoning behind j.D, DP Whiff change and Air Mugen myself but wasnt too sure if this was it. My mind is still in the CS2 era since I'm still considered a new player so I havent been considering an entirely new strategy that CSX Tsubaki will have to play in Extend.
  19. Thanks for confirming what you were able to find, Logic. I feared 5B was that much worse (we really do need our 5B for footsies, Ragna will be much more difficult to fight now because of this), but I agree with Batousai. With 5B being slower, I've been thinking that it's probably +0 now, it might even be 1 (or 2) frame slower now.. 5C being faster now, especially with a more vertical hitbox is pretty nice. But in the long run, it's NOT a good or fair trade off to 5B being slower. It was our one good AND safe poke and gave us an in for footsies. But I guess now we'll just make other approaches, or probably start using 5B a bit more pre-emptively. On the other hand, Solar has a point too. I'm now more interested in seeing what those of us who are getting Extend early can find since they'll be able to explore more options and see what they can up with. Trying to find stuff like an optimal BnB (outside of 5BB > 2BB > 5CC > 236A > 214A > 22A) should definitely be on that list of objectives. Although I guess 5B/5BB > 5CC > 623C > j.214A(w) > hj.CC > j.236C > j.214A isnt too terrible. Finding anything else we dont already know about ultilizing her altered toolbox will be interesting as well.
  20. Naw he'll make a combo vid for Tsu in Extend. Me and a few others will see to it that he does.
  21. ^ One of the main things I'd like to know for sure is if our 5B IS that much slower, or a bit more slower. Seeing how that is would be nice. Getting a feel for how different getting charges through 5D/2D/j.D would be good as well (we have visual aid for what I listed but hearing stuff from a player here in the final build is better input imo). Combos, not too worried about, we'll learn what they'll be soon enough, but if you happen to come across some stuff that'll be used regularly then that's fine too. That's all from my end, I'm sure the others will have more to add on what they want to know about.
  22. Oh okay, I've never been thrown out of it and havent really seen anyone attempt to do so before so I wasnt sure. Thanks for the heads up though. Yeah, 6C is actually another move you can be thrown out of if it's predicted. So then, basically, 6A/6B/6C can be poked out with 5A/2A, DP'd, or thrown.
  23. Ah, forgot to mention Hex. I recently changed my gamertag. It's no longer iGunz Pr0DiGY. It's II Hajin II now.
  24. One of them was Kiba, who is a pad player. Also, in regards to critiques, I'm going to paste what Kiba and myself previously stated in the other thread. If you arent comfortable (or rather, consistent) with dp whiffs just yet, then dont worry about attempting them in actual matches (especially a tournament) until you're doing them well enough. You really could've stuck with doing the 5BB 2BB > 5CC > 236 214 22 stuff to stay consistent. It is still decent damage and it'll get you some decent charge if you decide to do so. Focus more on playing solid rather than being flashy (not saying dp whiffs are flashy, because its solid stuff, just dont try to do them when you're not consistent with it to impress your peers). But overall, just keep at it because you'll definitely get better the more you practice. In addition, try to keep 6A to a minimum if you intend to mixup with it. It really is easy to see and react to with 2A. More adapt players will punish it on reaction with something more dangerous than 2A (Ragna's ID and Jins DP are not fun to be CH'd with, same with Litchi). People can even attempt to throw you out of it if they can really predict the 6A. The same can be said for 6B as well (well partially anyway). You cant be thrown out of it, but if the player predicts you to use 6B (normally after longer blockstrings), they'll DP it on reaction. You can definitely mixup with 6B, but you want to do so with shorter blockstrings (5B > 6B is decent and it's +2). Also, when you're poking with 5B and making the opponent block, YOU HAVE MANY OPTIONS at your disposal. - 5B leads into blockstring/pressure (5BB/5B > 6B/5B 2B etc) - 5B leads into 5B - 22X frame traps - 5B can be charge canceled. - 5B can be jump canceled. - You can poke with 5B then go for a throw attempt/kara throw - You can poke with 5B then charge cancel to go for a throw attempt/kara throw - You can poke with 5B then IAD to the other side for a crossup Etc etc... Stuff I opt for when I poke with 5B at range or up close (not just from a naked 5B of course). Mix it up, make people respect it and the options you have from it. But also take into consideration to how people try to deal with it (guess). Whether they mash something out, IB it , backdash, jump away, or whatever.
