  2. Yeah same here, I actually dropped Makoto for Tsubaki back in CS1 when I started getting back into BB again, that's kind of saying something. Wait, I thought self-gatling 5A/2A was limited to only 3 for everyone in EX now? I noticed Kuresu only using 5A/2A up to two times before making additional gatlings into 5B/5C/2B and such. I really dont mind the changes all that much, like I said before I just dont like that 5B is slower. Charge being abit slower doesnt bother too much either. But I will definitely miss our DP Whiff combos into 236B - 214B - 22B though. I love doing those. But the US and UK wont be getting EX till next year anyway, so I'm really just gonna focus on continuing to get better in the current game we have now and do what I can to get out and get exposed and get some competitive play experience.

  4. Meh, I'll still main Ms.Yayoi regardless of the nerfs. I mean, I dont like the nerfs of course, especially for 5B. But Tsubaki is who I like so I'll still be maining her. Besides, the only other character I'll play is Noel.
  5. Before I go any deeper about anything, I want to answer your question about combo'ing after a 22C corner knockdown. Yes, with no Install Charge at your disposal, do 6C - 236B - 214B - 22B OR 6C - 236C - 214C - 22C after a 22C knockdown in the corner. Or even if you do have Install Charge for that matter. It's good to decent damage (about 2k+), good corner positioning, and you can always squeeze abit of extra charge after the knockdown. Now onto the matches. First thing I want to tap on is, when charging for install at neutral, stick to 5D/5D taps and 2D charging. Dont use J.D charge at neutral because 1) The recovery is pretty slow and 2)It just gives your opponent the opportunity to rush in on you. Around 4:16 - 4:19, I noticed you did 6A - 5C - 22D. I want to recommend you use 22C instead of 22D (unless you charge 22D for an unblockable). 22C takes 1 guard primer and is distance safe. Also you can do something like 5B - 22C - 22A (or any string you like and end it with 22C). 22A can CH people when they try to push buttons after a blocked 22C. I wont go into combos though, that's something that can always be learned through practice. I would comment about the Tsu vs Jin matchup but it's one I'm still getting used to myself. I'll leave that to someone else.
  6. Well, I will agree it's much too early for everyone to go into panic mode and wimper about the nerfs and such. We still need more time to see what's what for Tsubaki (mainly some video footage). But my biggest gripe with her changes though is our 5B becoming slower. Practically our best poking tool becomes abit less viable (in speed) for on-approach and keeping our opponents out is quite bad.. @Airk: IMHO right now, we're quite capable of getting "good" damage with no install. Our corner combos can do about 3k+ with no install and our midscreen combos can do a fair amount as well (2.7K from DP whiff combos). With install charge we can dish out either abit more or alot more depending on how much install we have and what we decide to do with it.
  7. It was kind a "Wtf moment", because I was approaching with 214D after a 236B, and the Tager did Magna Tech Wheel. 214D literally hit Tager out of the startup (this was by the corner by the way), so I just reacted to it and did 5.4K damage lol.

  9. That's good to know. Oh yeah, I managed to hit a Tager out of his Magna Techwheel Distortion with 214D at the startup of his Distortion. I meant to test this out in training last night but I fell asleep lol.
  10. Actually I have a general question about the kara throw? 5B - Kara throw, You're just doing 5B and THEN the kara throw? Not 5B > Kara (i.e 5B > 6C/5B)?

  12. You cant do any 22X series after a "blocked" 6C. @Orion: I'm gonna leave the critiques to the better Tsu players. Pretty sure Airk, BatousaiJ and Kiba will do a much better job lol.

Corner Combo Has to do be done abit closer to the corner. 2 Charge 214D - 6CC - 623C - j.214A(w) - j.214D - 5C(w)C - 2CC - IAD j.CC - 5B 2CC - 22C - 5C 2C - 236B - 214B - 22B (5.4K) Same damage off a normal hit 214D and CH 214D. Works on EVERYONE with the exception of Jin. With Jin, however, you need to leave out the 22C - 5C 2C and just go straight into 236B - 214B - 22B after confirming the 5B 2CC for (5.2K). I've found myself getting matched against more Hakumens, Tagers, Ragnas or other matchups lately, where using our 236X into 214X series or 236X fakes become abit more vital. And if for some reason the opponent backed themselves into a corner or something, I want a big reward for landing 214D on approach (if I decide to approach with it).
  14. Thanks~ Also yeah, I'd only ever use a JC combo after a 22A CH if the opponent is too high, otherwise I normally do the IAD combo. I'll be sure to start letting them fall down abit more if they're that high from now on though, I just didnt want to risk losing some damage. And you're definitely right about 22D corner combo near the end of a round. It's just that I'm so intuned at doing the IAD. Still, the 5C(w)C - 2CC - 22C route is much safer, I'll be sure to go that route when a round is in my favor from now on. After watching the replay, I would agree that I did 5D charge too much. I did it about 3 times, trying to get that 2nd install. I should've just stayed at one, I tend to get greedy with charging, I need to stop that. And thanks Hex for uploading the match for me, appreciate it.

  16. Sorry, I forgot to mention that 22C needs to be charged abit more than usual. And no problem, Kiba. Also yeah, I dont think the 236C - 5C 2CC variations work on Carl. 236C - 5C 2CC - 22C - 5C 2C will hit, but the 236B - 214B - 22B will whiff.

Just a few quicks with some of these combos as in regards to Jin. 1) 5B - 5CC - 623C - J.214A(w) - 2CC (max height) - 236C - 5C - 2CC - 22C - 5C - 2C - 236B - 214B - 22B(3.4k) The 5C 2C pickup will whiff, whereas 5C(w)C 2C will hit and still allow you to get the same 3.4k damage. Same applies to the 5C CH version. 2) 5C CH - 6CC - 623C - J.214D - 5C(w)C - 2CC - IAD J.CC(delay) - 5B - 2CC - 22C - 5C - 2C - 236B - 214B - 22B (5.1K) Again, the 5C 2C pick will whiff since Jin techs after the 22C KB. We can still do 5C CH - 6CC - 623C - J.214D - 5C(w)C - 2CC - IAD J.CC(delay) - 5B - 2CC - 236B - 214B - 22B for 4.9K though. 3) 5B - 5CC - 623C - J.214A(w) - 214D - 6CC - 623C - J.236A(w) - J.214D - 5C(w)C - 2CC - 22C - 5C - 2C - 236B - 214B - 22B (4.6K) Again, just use 5C(w)C 2C pickup and you'll still land the 4.6K. That's probably already known but I just wanted to get that out there.
  18. Ugh, I've been ripped to pieces in this matchup as of late. I had the matchup down pretty well but now it's like I've gotten scared to make approaches and I keep end up letting Ragna get in as he pleases..
  19. Good games again Airk, the matches were fun. I just wish Koopa and I didnt lag, I knew it was because I saw lag spikes when he and that Hazama were playing, but I took a chance and gave it a try anyway. Wanted people to see me play but getting blown up in latency doesnt help lol...

  24. It really makes me sad when Jin can DP (C version) through our distortion. Has happened to me twice now.. On the other hand, those were some pretty good matches BatousaiJ. Thats one dangerous ass Jin. EDIT: I just watched that combo vid. I agree with you about that second combo, Kiba. Now I've gotta new midscreen combo to use to rack up 4k+.
