Actually the 2B > 2CC pickup allows the dash 5C 2C > 236B 214B 22B in the following corner carry combo: 5BB 5CC > 623C > j.214A(w) > j.C > j.236D > j.214A(w) > dash 2B 2CC > 22C > dash 5C 2C > 236B 214B 22B It gives around 3.4k. @Kiba: 236C leads into 4k in the combo I mentioned? We should replace the 236B with 236C then. Also, I did try seeing if I could deal out more damage with the 2 charge variation of the combo you mentioned but had no success. That one there is already good anyway lol. @Batou: This is also another reason why I need review framedata more. I didnt know 6C gave more meter gain than 2B 2CC. So honestly, using either pickup route isnt bad. You could use 6C if you're close enough to get heat for DD or CA, or 2B 2CC for abit more damage to closeout the round faster. @Pk: You should keep us updated about when you guys have those casuals on stream. I actually want to see you in action, those of us who watch would obviously want to help and it's not like any of us would boo you or anything. Also, you can only do a 2B > 2CC IAD combo off of a naked 22C in the corner. Anything else hits beforehand prorates the IAD action. @Airk: Last time we played I noticed you started doing IAD combos, are you still working on those?

Corner combo 1 Charge 5BB 5CC > 623C > j.214A(w) > 2CC > 623C > j.236A(w) > j.214D > 5C(w)C > 2CC > 22C > dash 5C 2C > 236B 214B 22B (3839dmg) Or you can start with 5B 5CC instead which will lead into 3997dmg. Also, Kiba, if you replace the 6C with dash 2B 2CC in your 1 charge variation combo above, it'll lead into 3.5k dmg.

That's actually really good, gonna start using this. Oh, also Kiba, I wanted to mention that when you do 5BB 5CC RC > 5BB 5CC to dip into that remaining lifebar of your opponent. You can do 5BB 5CC RC > 5CC instead. Doing so allows DP whiff combos to hit midscreen and in the corner, even with a 1 charge extension. So like: 5BB 5CC > RC > 5CC > 623C > j.214A(w) > dash 2CC > 236B 214B 22B will hit without the additional 5BB 5CC which prorates too much after RC.

Yeah I ran right underneath to the other side a few times, but that was due to me getting farther away from the corner. I think I did 2C AA him abit more than he hit me with j.2C air approaches, because he did start barrier blocking from jump and high jump approaches abit more. The times he did catch j.2C on CH hurt ALOT though. This is more stuff I'll keep in mind while playing Tager though.

Well the thing is, he CH'd all my air throw attempts, so I stopped trying to throw him out of the air. I guess I'm doing it too late or something. I gotta remember to use 214D on air approaches too. Watching that match gave me real good insight on what I should be trying to do, thanks for that.

I dont really think I have much to discuss outside of a few things, since you guys already explained the matchup pretty thoroughly. It's just one of the few I lack alot of experience in since I dont fight Tager that often. Tager's GF > Sledge - caught my backdashes everytime and he combo'd off of it. Tager's GF > Sledge - went through wakeup distortion. Tager's GF > Sledge - obviously ate 623A, but not 623D. I was able to jump away after GF but sledge kept me close to Tager because of blockstun. I never got AC'd after jumping though. Tager high jumping at me, I learned to keep him honest with that type of approach with some well timed 2C AA. You guys are definitely right about the use of the 22X series, I used alot of 5B/5BB > 22C/22D to keep him at bay. Often times just the 5B allowed me to get in and start pressuring him abit. But he started IB'ing quite well, so I'd Charge Cancel and jump away. I learned the hard way that 236X series isnt always the most efficient way getting in on Tager because of 360s and 720s (Orion's yomi is scary). I got to the point where I'd starting faking with 236A and then running in with 2A or 5B because he wasnt expecting me to do that. Almost everytime I made a run in approaching, I hit confirmed and took em to the corner with a DP Whiff combo. After playing him, the real problem I'm having is knowing how to block Tager correctly, and I dont know when its the correct time to try interrupting him either.

True, but then you'd have to consider the options he has if you stand and block. I think what he does on a blocked standing opponent than a jumping opponent after a Gadget Finger is much worse for the opponent.

Question to Kiba in regards to 5A > 5BB 2BB > 5CC > 6BB > 236C BnB into another 5A > 5BB > 5CC. How are you landing the additional 5A after the 236C? I tried it a few times on my PSP and I cant land the 5A in time. This is something I'd really like to get down because that extension is pretty nice and I also notice you're able to make a reset after the 5A with 6A and go into another combo. That's quite delicious. -

Jesus dude lol, only thing I'd recommend you pick up is this if you land a 214D that close to the corner with 2 charges. 214D > 6CC > 623C > j.236A(w) > j.214D > 5C(w)C > 2CC > IAD j.CC > 5B 2CC > 22C > 5C 2C > 236B 214B 22B You will love that 5.4K damage. ^__^ EDIT: Also I didnt know you could extend crouching 5A > 5BB 2BB > 5CC > 6BB > 236C BnB into another 5A > 5BB > 5CC. -
My bad Pk. :s But about the Gadget Finger OTG, 623A gets beat by Sledge as Kiba mentioned, but it's one option I tend to keep open when I predict Tager will attempt to throw/AC/jab me. If I dont use 623A I'll either backdash or jump back because I dont like standing there and blocking after GF, it forces even more mindgames on you. Because not only do you have to guess between 5A/Throws, but he can start a new blockstring as well and toss in a command grab at anytime to keep you wary.

But it's fancier. :P
