  1. I just wanna say I'm sorry stunedge. You see I thought that you were really stuck up, that you thought you were the shit. Lol, I dunno I felt like you looked down upon everyone cause you live in Japan and such and every time you come on here and read post you're always like "Sigh Dust loop scrubs". It was like you looked down upon everyone and did't even know why you visited such a scrubby site. I always felt like you had the motto: "I'm in japan, and they're are the crappy west, why waste my time with them", cause you rarely post so I thought you looked down upon everyone, lol. I just wanna say I'm so sorry. After seeing you post in the past couple of days and how nice you've been I was actually very shocked. I thought you would ridicule anyone that disagreed with you cause you saw them as scrubs (hazama changes thread). I feel so bad for judging you so harshly, and I'm terribly sorry. Plz forgive me.

  5. "A bit different" is vague. They might have to change up parts of their game to fit the new combo system. Most likely nerf the characters with long combos so their abare isn't retarted, but that's the question. Do you take away moves from their arsenal just to fit the new system? Which in turn could make them worse overall, and more gimmicky/predictable or not having anything solid to rely on (noel and tsubaki come to mind). You see a lot of things have to be considered. Combos weren't made longer in CS just for the sake of it. Lol arcsys wasn't like "yeah I'm sure people would love 15 second combos lets do this". It's because it's easier to balance the risk vs reward of some characters. Combos in GG are also long. It's just GG is faster, so the long combos end faster. If CS were the same speed as CT the "long" combos wouldn't be as long. I think what people actually mean to say is they want CS to be faster, which would make combos end quicker. Wanting short combos through a system change with the same CS game speed would yield in a stupid risk vs reward for characters with long combos.

Well say hello to 3 more cause that's what shorter combos would introduce. Lol carl would average like 4k off 2A, lol, infact you're right. I would like shorter combos too.
  7. Some people want shorter combos but then you really can't shorten combos cause some characters rely on long combos (Carl, Ara, Litchi, Makoto). There is a reason for having long combos. I'll use carl as an example cause I know the most about him. Off a 2D/3C combo starter, with 50 heat, he deals 6.5K. It takes like 15 seconds to complete. This is his longest combo. His other combos take about 7-10 secs. If you were to shorten his combos but still make them yield the same reward, then carl would have stupid abare. Take his 2D/3C starter + 50 heat into 15 second combo ofr 6.5K. For that to became an 8 second combo that also yields 6.5K you'd have to buff carl's/nirvana's normals/moves. By doing this you'd shorten combos yes, but now carl would start to get stupid damage off random hits. Combos in the old system that would only max out at 3.5K off a certain hit would become 4.3K in the new system. In short, he'll kill you with less hits. This was one of his problems in CT. The time based system didn't allow him to do much in the combo department. The current combo system makes it easier to balance characters damage output. Litchi gets like 5.5K off 2C but it takes 20 seconds (correct if I'm wrong), imagine if that were 10 seconds. Her abare would be insane. Ragna/Bang/Litchi, in the current CS, would an example of what would happen to carl/mak/ara/litchi. Those 3 get stupid damage off everything :/.

Hopefully i'm not too rusty or that matchup with mu will become like 9-1. The reason why it's so hard for carl is 1) steins passing through nirvana. This makes her almost useless in approaching and forces the carl player from playing his passive aggressive way to having to RTSD with SOLO carl many times. He's going to get tazered so many times too in just approaching, which is half the battle. 2) Mu's normals stuff all of carl's and nirvana's approaches. After going through the trouble of getting in, he still has to bypass her godlike normals, which he has a ton of trouble doing. Factor that in with the fact that even if he hit confirms he still has to watch out for lasers. If Mu slips out then it's back to square 1 :vbang:

Lobelias going through nirvana, rachel guardbreaking carl so easily, everything she did stuffed everything he and nirvana did, her damage making quick work of carl, having to use solo carl to RTSD or rachel would kill him quickly. Lol it's like an exact replica. Carl has to work so hard to win. A capture card. Oh oh now people will finally get to see how scrubby I am most of the time :vbang:.   12. Imo there's never a reason to save both burst as a 4 primer character. This is the worst thing ever. Even when you might not be in trouble in a round you might as well just burst. Having 1 primer in the last round is just asking to enter danger mode or get guard broken every 5 seconds. This will definitley make characters like lambda/rachel/Mu stronger. I mean bursting against them practically places a "timer till guard is broken" on top your characters head.
  13. ROTFLMAO, now I get it. Good one gais. Lol everyone seems to be better at things that are specific to tager. Haz/bang are better grapplers than tager (lol platinum probably will too), and 3D pickup is a better gadget finger.

  15. Lol, use carl or noel. You'll understand how stupid 4 primers is and you'll see how easy it is to get guard broken. With this new system everyone except tager will join them in their pain after a burst :bad:. I know tao and haz both have 4, but their mobility makes up for it.
  16. Lol guys that 3D pickup is mad crazy yo. Lol i don't think it will stay though. it could be a bit too good. This forces you to quick get up/neutral everytime now. Just off the top of my head. -3D on wakeup vivace A IAD j.2C allecan, Depending on when you activate 3D, when it hits, and when you vivace A this could be a crossup. If they happen to block it you could IAD j.2c allecan afterwards into sandwich -3D gear super unblockable -3D 6C RC 6C/2B/IAD j2.C allecan This is really good. He almost becomes like litchi, forcing a neutral at all times. Anima super armor is just wonderful. The carl vs jin vid showed exactly what I wanted to see. Poking at her only to get grabbed. That is just wonderful. 4D wasn't good enough. You had to be close to combo off it, and that was the only thing your opponent had to look out for when poking at her, assuming you didn't have 50 heat to do rhapsody ofcourse. In the end though I'm still salty about 8D. I'd like to see his changes in loke3. I personally want 8D back, and SA anima. I don't really care about 3D pickup. Now don't get me wrong I want it lol, but if he gets his 8d back and keeps SA anima, then 3D pickup will be a bit too much, and I'm 100% sure people will start to seriously complain about carl. So if something has to go, I wouldn't mind 3D, but 8D definitely needs to come back. Without unblockable 8D, 3D pickup wouldn't be good cause when you go for a reset they'll just jump everytime. Something has to keep the opponent grounded.

  19. You don't need Ada or the corner to connect the 5B 6B j.B j.C j.B loop on Jin, Tager, Hakumen, Hazama (iirc Mu might also be one of them). Although without the corner or Ada you'll eventually push them far enough to where 5B 6B won't connect.
  20. This is soo old, but GG in your room from forever ago. I'd heard so much about your rooms and I always felt jealous that I was left out. It was like your room was the cool kids room and I always wanted to be in it lol. so when you invited me you couldn't imagine how happy I was lol. It was fun playing you. That carl vs mu matchup is so riduculous, i mean she can slaughter carl. He has to basically RTSD or die. It's that simple. Except RTSD is the weakest part of carl's game. I love the adrenaline rush though, lol. It's like there's a bomb ticking (Mu) and I have to disable it(RTSD) before it explodes(wins) lol. It's like my playstyle becomes instinctual, Kill or be killed lol. I'm in such a hurry to get to Mu and nothing can stop. The adrenaline pumping through me and my quest for her blood gives me high you can't imagine, lol I promise I'm not insane. I look forward to playing you again someone, hopefully I can get on more frequently.

Hmmm,never thought of that, but then you'd need 50 heat at the moment which could pose some problems. Dammit Arc just give us the old 8D back. j.Axn 8Dx1 is definitely much better :bad:.   23. Actually nirvana will probably run out of meter before you can even guard break a 4 primer character. At full health she can only do 8D like 5/6 times. By the time you get them to their last primer they'll barrier, taking 1/3 of their barrier each time. So it's 3 8Ds to get to their last primer, and 3 more to break the last one. By the time you break it she'll be out, carl would do a solo combo, and the proration because of the guard crush would kill the already measly solo combo. Add that to the fact that now they can do what they want cause she's out. This is all for a 4 primer character. 5 and beyond will be almost impossible to break, unless they've already burst which will put them at 3 primers requiring 5 8D's, or they had to block nirvana's guard breaking moves before hand. Also, all this is under the assumption that when you got them in the j.A mash 8D trap nirvana had full health, so i'm being ideal which isn't going to be the case in a real match. In other words guard breaking with 8D is worthless cause the damage dealth afterwards is minimal (most likely solo carl combo coupled with proration after guard breaking), nirvana will break just to gurad break your opponent (assuming she's at full health when you started), and you'll be left defenseless afterwards.
