  1. I'm loving her versatility, which reminds me of carl. You aren't held down to one playstyle, and you simultaneously switch within battle. I like how she transitions from rushdown to midscreen zoning. It's very fluid and doesn't require long pauses that give your opponent time to escape. Shadow showed that when you mix things up and keep your opponent guessing on when you'll tick command throw it can be hard to get a read on what to look out for. You don't understand Cirno. I'm pissed right now. After watching shadow, spring is an eternity away. I might die from the wait at this point.
  2. Shadow just made my day. We finally got to see what she's capable of doing. I can't wait to see her install combos. 3 install bombs did 2k damage on jin. Lol, something tells me that she might be able to break 7k off the right hit confirm and right install item. Her bat seems to be very useful especially against rushdown characters, and in making people respect plats pressure. You could tell that the makoto player didn't know what to do. IB off anything is an instant bat to the face. It got to the point where shadow was actually the attacker and mak was just there waiting for him to switch items. Hammer as an ender deals good damage. DAT slide head from 16T was gdlk. I wonder if she can combo off it. Assuming she can: Knockdown - install with hammer - Wake up bubble (opponent is already conditioned to sitting still and blocking bubble on wakeup) - slide head - combo. Did I also mention DAT color? I'm like a kid in a candy store right now lol.
  3. Lol, zong what will you do if carl ends up being ass cause that's how he's looking right now? There's a probability he could be worst than CS1 rachel. Nirvana dieing so fast is a huge problem.

  4. Faster regen speed doesn't help him if nirvana dies so quickly. How can you approach, keep your opponent from running away, sandwich, pressure, hitconfirm into resets/juggles when she dies so fast? All the while the process of getting to that point requires that nirvana take a lot of hits, and you would have spend a lot of meter. So what meter are you going to have left to pressure? Talk less of actually attempting resets or getting a decent combo assuming she isn't dead by then. Now I see why stunedge said he's a lot less scary and put him so low. Nivana doesn't have enough health for him to do anything worthwhile. Those noticable bad matchups at the moment make a lot of sense. Jin/tsu/noel/mak in CS2 deal braindead easy damage, and they are rushdown characters. Since she dies so quickly carl can't defend himself. So they get in so easily and rush him down for free. Hakumen is probably more annoying than anything, cause now he's more zoner oriented. Lol, just what carl wanted. I won't be surprised if Mu vs Carl turns out to be like 8-2.
  5. LMAO. that vid doesn't show anything since the carl got bodied and really couldn't do anything. No need to jump the gun. It does confirm that nirvana dies quickly though.
  6. Gauntlet Hades denied. I'm loving her bat. It's soo fast. Lambdas 214 corner pressure isn't going tow work against plat when she has her lion/bear. The range on it is more than enough to reach lambda. If only the plat in the vid knew. Her 5D 16T hammer might have the range to punish it as well. I wonder if she's considered airbourne when she uses j.D hammer on the ground, and if she can combo off CH hammer. If she's airbourne then she's is susceptible to throws, which is good. They aren't making use of her command throw yet. There are so many situations where they could have used it. I wonder how much block stun the bubble has. If it's block stun is the same as or less than carl's volante, then her command throw mixup on wakeup bubble could be godlike. I can't wait to see people go install with her items, especially hammer and excaliborg.
  7. I didn't say overpowered, just I think he'll still remain top. He has his rediculous damage (which isn't dependent on screen placement), and he's only going to get better.
  8. OMG i love her voice in the plat vs hakumean vid. I wish we get to choose voices cause that one is the cutest imo, and will become my default. Her bat comes out really really fast, I wonder if it's safe on block. Shame we didn't get to see any loli install upgraded items. I like how she's a "make use of the item you have on the fly" characters. It' adds a lot of variety to her style. So far I've fallen in love. She's exactly what i would have wanted for christmas. Unfortunately my gift will come in spring. Can't wait for more vids of her.
  9. Hahaha. I personally just don't want him to suck. He'll definitely get better though, hopefully. It's just an initial couple of days impresseion list, so it doesn't really mean much in the long run, unless you're ara who will most likely still be SS down the road.

  11. I could already see a lot of problems with his CS2 design, and they seem to be showing in the early stages. It's just 3 days in so I hope things shape up for the better. I also hope CS2 can be patched via Nesica just incase some BS is found out later.
  12. After watching the videos, its seems that the barrier guage takes longer to regenerate. I'm not 100% sure on this, but the regeneration rates seems a lot slower than CS1. Can someone who has played CS2 plz confirm. EDIT It also looks like it drains a bit faster. Confirmation is needed.
  13. Jesus christ her damage is insane. Reminds me of valk and mak when they first got released. She is going to get nerfed that's forsure.
  14. Thanks for you info you've supplied, especially regarding carl. What are you impressions of CS2 in general so far? How is carl coming along? Could you plz post a couple carl combos and their damage values if you have any?

  15. The dies faster part is vague cause it depends on the player, but I hope they're wrong. If she dies fast, then how are you going to approach, and play the footsies/poking/spacing game? Especially considering that she'll take a lot of hits in the process. They said she regenerates fast, but that doesn't help if she dies fast from being a punching bag and doesn't have enough health for carl to mount any sort of pressure/offense/deal damage once he gets in. Footage is needed to clarify a lot of things. Cause right now I already see some problems with his CS2 design. Nirvna dieing fast and low damage are two of them, but those weren't specific so we'll have to wait and see.
  16. Hmmm, I hope carl's damage isn't too low. I mean I'm seeing 4-5k combos for the other characters from random starters, and they're having trouble getting to 4k without a DD with him o_O. This means he got around 3-3.2k (midscreen?) without the DD, but off what starter (j.2C allecan? 5B? maybe)? It's just day 2, but the thing is we already know how carls combos work. His CS2 combos will still be similar to CS1. I don't know what combo's they've done and off what starters, so that needs clarification. Damage is a huge part of his game, and if he's getting out damaged easily then it will be hard for him to keep up. Nirvana's moves getting buffed is good at least. So getting hit by her hurts a little more now, although people don't randomly get hit by her that much anyway. I can understand taking away volante projectile armor as that can give zoners some trouble, but not taking away fuoco always come out?. If they thought that was too good then they could have made it like 4D (super armor but if carl is hit or put in block stun then she'll stop). Fuoco is almost useless against characters with safe fullscreen pokes (litchi, haku, haz, etc) and it can be jumped over so easily by everyone. After a guard break, assuming carl can even guard break, a combo starter off anima might be a good idea at least. I really need to see footage to see how he stacks up to the others, cause on paper he sounds....like he's going to have a lot of problems. Especially the damage part. Seeing so many 4-5k combos from other characters and hearing he needs a DD to reach 4k doesn't help either.

I hate knowing that it will be outdated by spring. Watching vids and getting hype for the new tricks will only make things worse. Damn you arc for wanting to milk nesica and not giving us the patch early.

  20. @ zong ^^ lol yeah, the current top are made of 100 pure bullshit right now. Hmm, i know j.B j.2C doesn't work, but does that mean that j.B dj.2C won't work either? If it does, and assuming "the opponent falls at about the same speed as carl after j.C(vague, and I'm assuming they don't instantly fall to the ground but stay airbourne a bit before they hit the ground)", then 5B 5C cantabile 5C j.B j.C slight delay dj.2C allecan 5C sj.B dj.2C allegretto might work. We might even be able to get 1 more extra rep of 5C j.B j.C slight delay dj.2C allecan in there. @iokain Nah 8D doesn't have to be unblockable. Especially in the current system. It would be broken. 2 Primers and bonus proration is more than good enough.
  21. Lol, if his 6A is CS1 ragna like characters like tager, jin, noel, mak etc are in trouble. Infact ragna and haku might be in trouble too. When they jump at us with j.C, we'll 6A knowing at worst it will clash and they'll land right in sandwich position. I can't wait to see vids of this.
  22. It's kinda like CS1 ragna's 6A. You don't even have to time it correctly cause at best it wins, at worst it clashes. So you can just toss it out there anytime you want. His 6A might as well be a DP. If you're using ragna and you think haku is going to hotaru, 6A. It will clash. I really want to see vids badly right now. Some of the changes need clarification. EDIT If carl's 6A is really that good then lmao. I'm just gonna be tossing it out there knowing that no matter what it still won't lose.
  23. Fermatta is air unblockable . Most people who know about it usually don't tech. During a 2D loop, you can do j.2C fermatta as well.

  25. HEY GUYS I COME WITH GOOD NEWS. There's footage of plat, and a picture of all her with the fan in bururaji, which can be found here She comes up first at the 30min mark. This is the video portion. They show 3 combos. A basic bnb is the first. (1700k) In the second the item she has coming next is the pan. She hit confirms into loli install and continues to combo with paper fan (3800 damage) Third, corner throw into 2 hits that bounce the opponent high into bubble > surf board > miracle typhoon (4000 damage) @ 41:18 min it shows a pic of her all her items in their normal state, plus 1 upgraded 1 (her fan) @ plat due in spring. I knew she wasn't going to come out anytime soon. I figured arc would want to milk nesica and CS2 for a while before giving it to console owners, and if they release plat and the patch then soon then people will have no reason to spend as much money at the arcade. I estimates sometime around 4-6 months next year. I didn't want to tell you guys to ruin your hopes, but it looks like arc already has.
