It might not actually be a clash. Maybe Hotaru is just hitting the MTW's super armor, and that lets you cancel into j.D? Except normally you can't go straight into j.D unless it's off a clash. > If the clashed move has multiple hits and you do not cancel your attack, the latter attacks will come out. Or maybe this is the relevant part. MTW has like 100 hits, Hotaru clashes with just 1 and before you know it that window has closed.

But I like fighting you. Who will I have gold burst shenanigans with now. MTW keeps going, you can't cancel out of it. Only Hotaru. You only rapid after the first counter.

Nah, it was meant to catch forward rolls originally. Forward roll will get you killed every time. At least backwards roll can dodge some moves. Also backdash would work against throws. But that's just another part of the mixup. You are now entering mAc country.

Oh yeah Toan I forgot you have a semi-Tager. Maybe it's about time we play using Tager. I tend to get in Tager's face, so I think it throws a lot of Tager players off. Usually you just spend the whole match running away.

It's not like I ALWAYS do it. I just do it when I sniff a 720 coming and the j.D clash covers my bases with MTW if he does that instead. I'm doing a whole bunch of other stuff while I'm at it. Tager backdash is easy to punish in the corner. Just pause a moment and THEN Hotaru.

Also GGs Ctrl. I love doing mixups on Tager. It's so dangerous but fun.

I was trying to bait you into 720ing me so I could do the astral at the perfect moment, but then I realized I had 7 stars and not 8. WHOOPS The Tager situation goes like this. It's pretty much what ctrl said but not quite. First, I do Hotaru. Anything he does ~> nope fuck that. However, Magna Tech Wheel will beat Hotaru by itself since the super armor will eat the move and then you get hit out of the recovery. But if you time it right, Hotaru will clash with MTW, and once it clashes, you can cancel into j.D and then 6D to counter MTW and make him eat a combo. If he doesn't have 100 heat, that's it and he's done. But if he does have 100 heat, he can rapid cancel out of MTW right when Hotaru clashes. For whatever reason there is enough invincibility in MTW that the first counter whiffs on Tager, so Tager can RC out and then you have a kind of fake mixup. I will be busy trying to counter what I think will be the rest of MTW, so I might hit 6D a split second after he RCs, leaving me a sitting duck. Or, we both are at neutral right after MTW and it turns into a "will he jump or 360" game.

doing the astral input just makes my HP go to zero it is the actual property of the move
