TD means she can lock you down with pumpkin and then break your guard for free since she will have all the time in the world to charge her crush trigger.

What happens if you charge the crush trigger enough that it would eat any barrier they have left. Would it just eat all the barrier or eat it and guard break them since it spilled over?

Relius came out pretty late. There isn't anyone new enough where Relius would be the first guy they picked up. By the time he came out pretty much everyone already was playing and had a character so they would've had to switch on over to play Relius.

You guys should play Ctrl if you want to fight a Relius. Since he has PSN too. The problem with crush trigger mixups is that they would have to not get beaten by the thing most people would use against throws in general which is barrier OS. Like if you do 5A > throw / crush trigger, doing barrier OS would beat both of those so it's not really a mixup after all. Or does doing a tick throw beat that. I've confused myself.

I must come up with throw / crush trigger mixup so I can toss it in with all my other throw mixups.

Command grabs like Tager's might be. Not sure. What I meant was that, the purpose of a command grab is to open up a blocking opponent. So his Crush Trigger can do that for us too. Except instead of grabbing them into a combo, it's guard break into a combo. The only difference is that CT can be barrier blocked, unlike a grab. But a crush trigger can hit them out of the air too at least since it's an actual attack and not a throw, and if it's barrier blocked you can keep pressuring.

His crush trigger kind of can serve the same purpose. Except for the barrier blocking.

I don't know if Star is actually bad so much as he always plays people who are above his skill level so he just thinks he's bad since nothing works. Maybe if you found people that were more on your level. But that's hard with BB being how it is with the player base. Then again my IRL friends play BB with me all the time and I crush them but they still manage to plod along just fine.

Damage isn't that important. Look at Haku 6B. The reason it's good is because it screws with the opponent's reflexes and stops them from just holding down back.
