They're both pretty easy. Or at least, they both have the same tough points which is the IAD j.B j.A stuff. Once you get that timing down you'll be set.

I'm pretty sure you can extend the Gurren one for more damage in the corner. I actually got two loops off it, I think, whereas with the Kishuu one I got just the normal combo. I forget though.

What design choices? My friend said people were raging across the internet because it had no move list in the game and that while it was going to please the hardcore crowd it would have a hard time with casuals, which he thought would be trouble since the game was supposed to appeal to casuals or something. But I haven't checked any game news for ages so I haven't heard anything except that it just came out now. As for me, it looks like a great game, but none of the characters really capture my interest. Maybe Parasol.

Renka Gurren does slightly less damage midscreen but leads to more corner combo followups. Renka Kishuu does more damage midscreen and has more corner carry.

These things always fall through because half the sign ups treat it as something to do when everything else they have planned doesn't pan out, rather than an actual commitment. You shouldn't sign up as "Oh if I have nothing else to do I'll play," but as something you're actually setting time out for it. Maybe it would be better if it was on Saturday though.

His combo mechanics aren't really different in Extend. You just need to learn a few new routes that consist of j.B j.A and such.
