  1. That Haku didn't cut anything, even the most obvious set ups. I was wondering the same thing too.
  2. Wouldn't it just be 5C > Renka now, no Kishuu? Seemed that way from that one corner combo.
  3. 8k combos off how many stars is the question. Haku could always get 8k if he blew like 8 stars or whatever. I don't want him to be getting that much damage off stuff like 2A and 4 stars or something though... Makoto Jr.
  4. Meh. We'll see.
  5. rare footage of kayeff praising ragna
  6. I'd imagine they want the 2C to lift the up high enough so Gurren hits, maybe. 5C pushes the opponent down towards the ground; 2C lifts them up. I use 2B, myself.
  7. Nah, it's fine. Knowing your 5C damage is still useful.
  8. Optimal doesn't just mean damage though, it's more like "what you'll be able to use in a real match." I mean, 6C Fatal combos used to have astronomical damage but they weren't really practical.
  9. He couldn't have made it more obvious. :P But yeah I didn't mean to. :<
  10. oh god i died laughing You beat me to it. >:C Translation: "STOP EVERYTHING! SOMEONE ON THE INTERNET LIKES A GAME I DON'T. THE OUTRAGEOUS OUTRAGE!!!111" Look, games can be fun and good without being balanced. Look at SF3. Everyone is gay for that game but it's broken as fuck. It doesn't matter. Same with Marvel VS Capcom 2. There's something about CT, the pace of it perhaps, that's different from CS 1 and 2 and I like it better. I'm not saying it's objectively better, since CS is obviously better designed, but it still doesn't capture the same feel. And as far as the BB community goes, I'm pretty sure that half of it dropped out after CS was released, so if good game = huge community then it failed miserably. It gets smaller with each release practically. Half the old Haku players who used to be way better than me ragequit the game pretty much once it came out. Anyway @ Indigo: You want to counter usually, but cut the slower easier to cut projectiles.
  11. Damn, u mad son. What you're missing is that "fun" and "balanced for tournament play" aren't the same thing. In fact, I played CT the other night and had a blast. And as far as originals go, SF2 is what drew everybody in, not SF1, and I still hold that head and shoulders above SF4. Also as far as using the forums go, those old threads still have a lot of info, some of it that's still relevant, whereas a lot of the newer threads are empty.
  12. CT is the original. That's what drew everyone to the series in the first place. So that's usually what's going to be the most liked since everything else after that is not what they signed up for originally. Plus Haku was just more fun then... but this has been beaten to death before.
  13. That Ragna wasn't that bad. Work on execution and less standard pressure I'd say. Also less random jumping and better footsies.
  14. Well, I'd rather just show you in a match.
  15. Yeah, but it's not an obscure detail that you'd have to calculate like the amount of stars you gain during the combo, or something critical you need to know to do the combo like how many stars you need. It wouldn't hurt to have it in there though, just as general knowledge, but I figured anyone practicing the combos would get a feel for the distance as they're learning it. But it's still important to note things like corner combos, or midscreen combos and carry combos. You just don't need to break it down to a ridiculous level like how many hops it would take.
  16. I just say it covers halfway to the corner, or 3/4 of the way to the corner, etc. Anyway, it's not that vital. People will figure out the carry amount when they actually do the combos.
  17. Yeah, the match is just a big footsies match basically.
  18. I actually agree with kenja0. There's not that much a Hakumen can do against a real good Lambda on top of their game. Even though Lambda isn't Nu and Haku can cut swords, she can still keep him out indefinitely and he does a lot less damage these days when he gets in. I was just saying going by the advice here so far that it still isn't as simple as just 6D > win. A good Haku could get around that easily. It still takes tight playing and being on top of things.
  19. Tager's a worse matchup than Hakumen. No. NO. It can't be true. It's IMPOSSIBLE.
  20. Any Haku worth their salt will get around day 1 tactics like that easily.
  21. Maybe I'm underestimating you guys, but I think you're not giving Hakumen enough credit.
  22. Too much text...
