  1. I personally like using them. I was just saying the damage return on them has been a lot lower than it used to be.
  2. It used to be high reward in CT. Well, not really even then, just not terrible reward. In CS2 it wasn't worth it. I'm not sure if they made it so you can get more damage off of them now.
  3. Yeah, the one big difference is the huge step forward he takes compared to his CT 6A which could make the spacing weird.
  4. Hotaru isn't safe if the guy is mashing stuff out, or waiting for it. Even if you jump cancel you're going to get hit before you can do anything else, since you have to land, unless you go right into j.D at the right time. It's just not a free punish.
  5. lol wut. you remind me of my friend jeff. he gets a new job like every week, and just walks out and never comes back without even telling them after like 2 days. :P why.jpg
  6. That MTW RC thing has been happening since CT.
  7. Is his 2A still 7 frames?
  8. I'd place him more around A tier, but we'll see how the game develops as time goes on.
  9. That Haku didn't cut anything, even the most obvious set ups. I was wondering the same thing too.
  10. Wouldn't it just be 5C > Renka now, no Kishuu? Seemed that way from that one corner combo.
  11. 8k combos off how many stars is the question. Haku could always get 8k if he blew like 8 stars or whatever. I don't want him to be getting that much damage off stuff like 2A and 4 stars or something though... Makoto Jr.
  12. Meh. We'll see.
  13. rare footage of kayeff praising ragna
  14. I'd imagine they want the 2C to lift the up high enough so Gurren hits, maybe. 5C pushes the opponent down towards the ground; 2C lifts them up. I use 2B, myself.
  15. Nah, it's fine. Knowing your 5C damage is still useful.
  16. Optimal doesn't just mean damage though, it's more like "what you'll be able to use in a real match." I mean, 6C Fatal combos used to have astronomical damage but they weren't really practical.
  17. He couldn't have made it more obvious. :P But yeah I didn't mean to. :<
  18. oh god i died laughing You beat me to it. >:C Translation: "STOP EVERYTHING! SOMEONE ON THE INTERNET LIKES A GAME I DON'T. THE OUTRAGEOUS OUTRAGE!!!111" Look, games can be fun and good without being balanced. Look at SF3. Everyone is gay for that game but it's broken as fuck. It doesn't matter. Same with Marvel VS Capcom 2. There's something about CT, the pace of it perhaps, that's different from CS 1 and 2 and I like it better. I'm not saying it's objectively better, since CS is obviously better designed, but it still doesn't capture the same feel. And as far as the BB community goes, I'm pretty sure that half of it dropped out after CS was released, so if good game = huge community then it failed miserably. It gets smaller with each release practically. Half the old Haku players who used to be way better than me ragequit the game pretty much once it came out. Anyway @ Indigo: You want to counter usually, but cut the slower easier to cut projectiles.
  19. Damn, u mad son. What you're missing is that "fun" and "balanced for tournament play" aren't the same thing. In fact, I played CT the other night and had a blast. And as far as originals go, SF2 is what drew everybody in, not SF1, and I still hold that head and shoulders above SF4. Also as far as using the forums go, those old threads still have a lot of info, some of it that's still relevant, whereas a lot of the newer threads are empty.
  20. CT is the original. That's what drew everyone to the series in the first place. So that's usually what's going to be the most liked since everything else after that is not what they signed up for originally. Plus Haku was just more fun then... but this has been beaten to death before.
  21. That Ragna wasn't that bad. Work on execution and less standard pressure I'd say. Also less random jumping and better footsies.
  22. Well, I'd rather just show you in a match.
