  1. I played Stickbug's Lambda and he pretty much never used her DP ever. And I was trying to bait it out the whole time too :P He just managed to block well. Although I can't imagine how effective it would be with someone like Bang... Couldn't you still do something like, IB > backdash, or IB > backwards IAD? She seemed fine as it was with it though.

  3. The difference is now if you burst twice you get stuck with 1 primer instead of 2. 5 > 2 > 1. Before it was 6 > 3 > 2.

  7. Yeah qwerty, I did wonder that, but I figured it was because Japan just hates Hakumen or something, or that he's not as good as people think he is. And yeah I know what you mean about the counters... on top of that they do less damage too so there's less reward. But... I still like doing them They're my favorite part of playing, when you completely read through someone's moves and place just the right counter, or just know what they're going to do. For some people that makes people salty, more than usual. :P
  8. I think the only way to settle this is to get Axis or some other good Tager to play against Ve and then record it. Then everyone can see what people are talking about that may or may not work.
  9. Do you know if that 6C slide is just off any 6C hit or only if it's fully charged?

  11. Hakumen players are already better than blocking than most players, or at least they should be. >_> His D's already got nerfed (unnecessarily, imo) when CS came around... I don't think it'll make the kind of players thinking of start blocking though.

  14. I think I figured out what they're trying to do with Hakumen here. Everyone assumed since Haku might be too strong that they would try to rein in his zoning, but they've decided to go all in on it instead. They made his C moves even faster, so his zoning is going to be stronger. At the same time they're giving his specials wallbounce properties to prevent his old combos (except apparently 6C) and his counters are just to knock people off him so he can't get damage off it. Haku will zone you out with tons of pokes but if he hits you with any specials or counters, it won't do that much damage but will give him full screen reset. He won't have that much damage, and he'll be even worse up close, but his zoning is better. He gains stars slower so that means he'll have to be less reliant on his non-C moves too... So basically they want to make him Lambda with a long sword. That's the only sense I can make out of this anyway. If it's not this then I have no idea and they might as well be throwing stuff at a dart board. :P

  16. Hotaru wallbounce Now I'm just curious what they're going to make him play like. Maybe they'll find some combos after all this. Hotaru sending someone all the way across the screen just sounds funny.

  18. Haku changes are dumb. They seem to want to nerf him but nerf the things that don't even make him a problem. I don't think people getting zoned out by Haku are like DAMN IF ONLY HIS 2D DIDN'T COMBO I WOULD TOTALLY WIN THIS THING. I swear I could do a better job of balancing him. >_> I am enraged. :P Counters are my favorite part of Hakumen and if you can't even make people scared of them then they lose half their use. Oh well. Still just a loketest and all that.
  19. Well, there'll be more tests for all we know. If the changes to the counters stay though I'll be saddened since that was always my favorite part of Hakumen. I never liked how they nerfed his counters from CT to CS in the first place. Counters are the most skillful defensive reversal option out of all the possible things people can do and it should be rewarded. If you can't make the opponent hurt from then then they have no reason to fear them and they lose all their effectiveness in making them play more carefully.

  24. I agree with Axis. I don't see anything that changed in the matchup that would make it go 6/6.5. If anything Tager got all his Gadget RC fling shenanigans...
  25. I thought that was weird... Generally after 2D, you want to do 2D > 5C > 623AA > falling j.2C > 2C > j.2A > etc. The timing of the 5C is different depending on what character... some are too small and the 5C will whiff because of its shortened range.
