Yeah, I want to start working IBs into my game... I can do it in training mode but actually remembering it in the heat of a match is another thing. Plus I always think, they don't have to do the blockstring I was practicing against which would mess up my timing... What did you do to make IBing work? Hmm, that's an interesting way of putting it. I always felt more like it's because I lacked the reaction time. Like, Ragna's 6B. I tend to block low by default; I'll see him lift his leg up, I know the overhead is coming, but somehow my hands will stick to blocking low. I do play a lot on prediction though, but that tends to be more my personality... I try to get a read on the opponent and then plot out a course that would force them into the worst situation. Also, a lot of the things I need to work on, are more like... I know what I NEED to do in a given situation, but when I'm actually IN the situation I'll usually completely forget and revert to habit or I'll know what I have to do and just mess up doing it, i.e, trying to get to Nu across her endless hailstorm of swords. I know the mixup's coming but I'll block fall for a TK feint or something. Anyway, improvement is a never ending task.

What do you guys think of this combo? I recently saw it and was wondering if I should incorporate it into my game. Zan(2) > 5C > 236A > 2C > j.2C > falling j.C > 5C > 236A > 6B (or 3C) It's a corner combo. It seems useful since there are some opponents you don't want to let tech in the air (rachel). Actually landing the Zan though, seems unlikely...

THE JUST SWORD RETURNS Thanks for the Haku info, Dacid. Yeah, I noticed there don't seem to be many Haku players. I didn't know Pulsr MAINED Hakumen, I thought he just subbed him. Do you know why he went back to Lambda if he liked Haku more? I'm kinda starting to be a little :V on Haku in CS myself. Not sure... I'm really excited about trying out Tsubaki for some reason. I'll still play Haku though.

I heard that move wasn't that good, so it probably won't get used once people learn to deal with it. Like how everyone spammed ice car at first. Ah, OK. I figured this time around everyone would be playing the tournament all day, so I'd just wash out in the first round then spend the entire day watching everyone play. Which I would actually be fine with but I also had my friends back home wanting to hang out so I decided I'd come down another time.

6A lost it's godliness as an AA, but Hakumen still has a ton of AA options that work just fine. His new j.C for one. I was hoping they'd actually make him stronger up close rather than weaker, but I'd assume in this particular matchup it's still going to be in his favor up close since it wouldn't have been an even match up otherwise. Is he really worse up close though? His C attacks are faster and have less recovery, and he has a meterless overhead, and 6A lets him keep Nu locked down and gets him closer to her, and he gains meter faster from his attacks.

I was totally gonna come to this but ended up getting swamped by Memorial Day stuff. FFFFFFFF You guys have the closest CS cabinet. Only thing is I never played CS and am still learning stick so I'd need to come in there and just mess around a bunch to figure out how to play, not enter a tournament.

Sweet, one of my friends is home schooled. He's fine with just having an ice car Jin though >:C. lool, he thinks doing combos is proof of lack of skill. HE IS TOO GOOD TO COMBO. People are hilarious. We should get on and play sometime, although I tend to play with some friends of mine a lot... but they can give you some good Haku practice.

Well, if I do a combo with 214B it's usually 214B > 236A > 6C. If I want to do a 623AA combo I usually just do that off 5B or 5C. So then you're spending about 2 stars for like 3500ish damage. That seems like it would do just as much and spend half the stars. I guess if you just want to do as much damage as you can off that 3C it would be good though.
