  1. Well, I can play right now if you want. I'll send you a friend invite.

  2. Hey, Leonil. Do you want to play some matches tonight?

  3. Guys, how does this Hakumen do what he does here? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBrIEakY7_k#t=0m26s I can jump cancel j.B, but I never can jump cancel j.A, so I assumed you can't... but he looks like he jumps almost four times. Can you jump cancel indefinitely or something? Normally the momentum of the jump just takes you down after one or two hits but he just keeps going up alongside the other Haku.
  4. Because all they need to discuss there is "use bugs" and "GIHIHIHIHIHI!!!"
  5. Yo Arcade, want to play a few rounds right now? I'm sick as heck, gonna be staying in tomorrow, so might as well do something.

  6. Oh, btw, for some reason the sound on those videos is very low. :0

  7. Your only viable strategy: put the controller down. There is no escape! Bahahaha! BAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
  8. Hey Andy, do you ever go on XBL? I want to play a good Nu and you've always seemed to be pretty good. I hear you "mentored" my little brother's Nu once too. :P (His name is Shervin.)

  9. what the FFFFFFFF you stole every match tonight! You and that damn Magna Tech Wheel. :P I have found your TECHNIQUE now I must ADAPT to it. Argh, I kept trying to grab you at the same exact time you grabbed me every time. Gotta break that reflex. Any pointers? I stopped caring about playing it safe about halfway through and started playing RUSHDOWN HAKUMEN which was kind of working out.

  10. General question: What's the advantage of TK Gauntlet Hades over just using Gauntlet Hades?
  11. Good games! I hope you didn't have to leave early because you got annoyed at my antics or something (stomping your corpse, etc.) Some people get upset by that. :P I couldn't hear you guys talking and my mic wasn't working... I could barely hear something but it wasn't loud enough to tell. Was that guy your friend? It looked like you guys wanted to have a "Haku room" but I wasn't sure... so I picked Ragna so he could have someone to fight against. I would have been fine with you playing Haku too, so I waited for you to pick someone first. But it looked like you wanted to settle our EPIC DUEL instead. ;P

  12. "You're a very scary Haku to approach, and you even have the rush down game pretty well balanced. The match up has been in your favor mostly. I'm surprised you can get those D-Counters so well inbetween attacks. I was doing it in casuals to some Ragna and a Noel, but I couldn't do it against Nu. Mainly because I think I'm one of the rare breeds of Nu who like to go melee sometimes. Maybe I'll just peg you with swords until you guard break =p" Yeah, I was surprised by how you were coming at me a few times. It reminds me of how my brother plays Nu; I sometimes have to be the one to get away from HIM, which is funny to me. :P We should play again sometime... it looks like the entire world is getting Call of Duty right now. I had a few things I wanted to note about your playstyle, like maybe something you could improve or what I saw that I knew you were falling for, but I forgot it all since I waited to reply so long. :P FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF :vbang:

  13. So, if Carl tries to do his Gear super and misses, what's the way to punish him? (Assuming the Gear is between you and him.) Can you just Shippu through the super or something? Or would the Gear interrupt and hit you? I haven't tried because I don't want to get myself killed.
  14. Hey, we have a lot of active Hakumen players here. That video has given me an IDEA. Why don't we try having a Hakumen tournament? I think it would be fun. I play a lot of Hakus on ranked from here anyway, but I never get to see some folks like qwerty in action. We (or at least I) could probably pick up and learn a few things too.
  15. Can't he do hotaru once you block?
  16. I'm like that with Nu. I actually like VSing Nu more than any other character. They always tend to find me somehow too. So if you want to play against Hakumen I'm always up for it, although there's always Full Auto Death, Slayer, and some other folks like Jack G and qwerty out there who can rock your socks off.

  17. Arcade, what town do you live in? I can't believe you live so close, your connection on XBL is always either green or purple. :P I figured you were in California or something.

  18. That Hakumen guy's combos were weird...
  19. Hey Kyle, why did you just burst and stop fighting that one round? Was it by accident? Did you give up?

  20. Jack! I just realized it was you that I was playing on XBL all this time. :D I always thought JackMFG had a strong resemblance to Jack G but I never thought they were the same. :P Good matches last night! We need to play more. I wasn't doing as well as usual though since I'd learned some new combos in training mode and was trying to actually apply them to real matches. I never actually once got them off. :P

  21. Hey. Yeah, I have him on my friends list. On reflection, practically half of my list is Hakumen players. I'm not sure why he's doing that though... I could ask if you want. Some players get pretty sore about losing. :P

  22. Well, it's not any different than a regular grab, in principle. People can break grabs anywhere and it's still worth doing. It's just good purely on the basis of expanding my repertoire and getting me more used to air combos so I can work my way up to those longer ones.
  23. So, I've recently discovered mid-air grab combos. God I love it. Nobody ever expects it!
  24. Wasn't it implied or stated that there was some sort of romantic thing going on betwen Jin and Tsubaki? He does have one of his moves as Hakumen named after her...
  25. I agree with Zenmetsu, generally, but on the note about execution complexity being excluded from tiers: I think it DOES play a certain part in it. Consider a tournament match: both players are playing in a tense environment that tends to produce more mistakes than usual, and where one mistake at the wrong time can cost you the entire match. A player playing a character with relatively easy execution (ie., Nu) versus another character that has a more difficult execution means that the first player is less likely to make mistakes of that sort and lose because of it, simply due to the character's design.
