Hakumen's counter (which should be the same as Jin's) is unavoidable if you physically hit with your character. If you hit it with a projectile, you can dodge as long as you're not in the way when he strikes. Usually as soon as you strike, your character freezes and there's nothing you can do. But Inferno Divider isn't a projectile... weird. It could be the invincibility frames, but it would have to last a long time, through the whole super for him to not get hit. Maybe ID has projectile properties now or something? EDIT: Apparently this is normal for Inferno Divider. -
Yeah, I noticed you doing that in our Haku mirror match a ways back. I tried it out. For some reason I like using C more though. It feels more satisfying to smack them with his giant sword than just kick them. CCCCC

I went to Arcade Infinity while I was in Los Angeles visiting relatives for Christmas and got to play Continuum Shift for one night, it was amazing. MAD HYPE There isn't really a thread for it though or things like that.

I thought it was a good match. I noticed the instant blocking but I thought that happens often offline. The Yukikaze was just for fun. :P The point was showing what most Nu's using gravity well looks like, that's all. I think higher level play might look boring if you're not putting yourself into the mind or eyes of the people playing since they tend to be more cautious and not just do random things. One mistake usually means the match is over, so...

Yeah! Know anywhere I can look up Tager tech traps? For all the Tager discussion it doesn't look like anyone actually made a list, like combos. Even the Tech trap thread doesn't have many. :P All I know is 6C > 5D xx Atomic Collider and 5C > 5D xx Atomic Collider. Although I saw some watching Tager vids that I can use but I keep forgetting them so I'll have to write it down next time.

OK so, I can basically do: j.C > 5C (Or, 5C > launcher) > j.C > 2C > sj > j.2C > IAD > j.2C, and some more j.2Cs if they get in the corner. Now it's just a matter of doing it consistently and streamlessly making it part of my normal game. Thanks for the help guys. :D Slayer and Leonil both pushed me to learn them. It's not over yet though. Is there anything else you can do or tack onto that combo to make it better? My favorite is: (in the corner) grab > renka > 2C > j.2C > falling j.C > 2C > super jump > j.2C xN (although I usually get pushed too far to do it more than once, instead of the usual 2 and then IAD 3) Oh, can I do a j.C loop off grab? Right now if I'm not doing Shippu I do grab (not in the corner) > 236A > 623A > 2C > j.2C > IAD > j.2C.

Ah, dang. Well, we'll see what happens. Tsubaki does look fun. I wonder if players are gonna find ways to improve her or if she's stuck. Also how effective people will be with her online even if she's gimped at the tourney level ala Tager. I can see how it's abusive, although I don't think I saw it much in that match... Hakumen was only locked down by it for a little bit. Still, this is why I just ask questions mostly and stop there. As far as my experience goes, I don't fear it because, they CAN use it well, but: a) they have to time it right. Half the time they do it just as I move out of range, and I can IAD in for free. b) they just mess it up and do it at the wrong spot. c) they pull it off but I just sit there and block and nothing happens. Yeah, they were pretty good. I thought you were trying to be a douche when you picked Rachel, but it's okay. :P Also for some reason it always lags when we play and it makes it hard for me to do stuff. #_# If it was lag free we could to our fullest. You have a good Jin, very aggressive in the corner. Those are the types that give me the most trouble. Although it gives me a chance to counter more too.

You mean like, gravity wells in the middle of combos? I don't see Nu's just using them alone usually.

Your Noel actually threw me off a bit when we first started, since I'm not used to Noel's holding back. I'm usually the one that waits for them to rush me and try to do there 5098340930349 mixups and then I counter some things and stuff like that. I had fun doing a rush down game though. My favorite part of Hakumen is using his counters. Oh, I didn't know you accidentally picked Jin. I figured he was your sub, or Carl, so then I started using some different characters. PS: you need an avatar. ;P

Yeah, you can counter it. But that just leaves you where you started... I think I've got this handled though. I seem to have more trouble against Nu's that just mindlessly spam C and D than good ones. O_o To quote, "sometimes you're so predictable that you become unpredictable."

Really? I thought everyone had to learn how to deal with Nu to stand a chance. It's pretty much my best match up, lawlz. My brother plays Nu so she's the one I fight most usually.

Desu doesn't fight you normally? :0 He fights me a lot. I like playing with him. Maybe I feed him wins. :P The first round we played, I thought whoever I was playing was a nub so I wasn't really focusing. And I remember I grabbed you to death like 4 times, then you went insane and killed me the next round. After that I knew it was you.
