  1. Ummm, wrong. 2B is incredibly useful, I use it so much. On wakeup opponents, it works great too 2B>2C>3C>Pulsar/wheel 2B>2C>6C>Pulsar/wheel 2B>2C>TK cresent 2B>2C>TK feint>mixup of choice 2B>5B>Any thing you want 2B>quick dash>grab 2B is as important as C and D once you stop spamming. I use 4B here and there, but it's too risky to go throwing out regularly as a mixup I only really use 6A though, once in a while 2/5A is good for quick pokes
  2. Ummm, Nu's B buttons are incredibly important in CT now, I think. Thanks for the info, Wolf. Glad you told us that Zwei can be mashed and grabbed out of
  3. Exactly, which is why that move may have to be used sparringly. Icecar is harder to punish if barrier blocked, but IB that and Jin's in massive trouble
  4. But Lambda has tons of mixups from far away in CT, like the standard 5DD>4DD>Wheel, 5DD>wheel, 5DD>4DD>TK cresent, 5DD>4DD>TK feint>any option Interesting that her one Zwei is air unblockable, seems scary to jump too much against her I get the feeling Zwei C might not be so safe, there was a video where Kahn RC'd a blocked Zwei C. But then again, everyone says it's pushing people far enough that it is safe, so I don't know
  5. Thanks for the info, Severin I'm sure there's quite a bit to be discovered by her I guess more questions is how you felt about her Zwei moves. Like, as opposed to being so used to the 5D strings and such what did you think of her icecar movements? Did they seem useful, more likes pokes? Did you make much use of her DP? It'd be nice to replace what we'd usually backdash for and replace it here and there with a DP, which would be sweet
  6. Hey, I've seen Lambda's new 236D but the way it works confuses me. Does it legitely combo from 5DD? I've seen the special kinda linger there, but it looked really slow. I'm wondering how useful her new saw would be coming from behind the screen through ~C. Do you like playing Lambda in comparison, Severin? How do you feel playing her more as a close up pressure character as opposed to zoning? I know she's not as powerful, but I'm looking forward to playing up close with her
  7. Sounds too risky, I say bait the DD pounce and then CH for 4000 damage or more. Seriously, 75 percent of Tao's online go to the pounce the instant someone bursts, it's predictable
  8. ...You could double jump, but...honestly, if you start getting too close, I'm going to act pulsar away by simple doing 2C>Pulsar Spamming Hellsfang and Hades gaunlet is stupid too, yeah, you might tag me with some, but it overall makes you incredibly predictable, which is what you were becoming, Proto. Didn't you notice how well you were doing against me once you stopped spamming Ragna's specials, it was probably the closest you got to beating me out of seven games or so. You made the mistake of doing the same blockstring when I fell for it twice though. Nu's not so helpless up close either, she has mixups, 2B>2C>TK or the TK feints (which seemed to confuse you a little and take you by surprise). You kept mashing out Inferno divider so I wasn't stupid enough to keep long pressure strings on you, but it's punished if done enough. I didn't mind being close to your Ragna as long as I felt I had the pressure under control You're a good Ragna, but you need more patience, you kept rushing in with specials, and while you landed some of them, it overall probably hurt more than it helped. Be patient.
  9. The video of Lambda fighting Ragna and Haku really depressed me. She's seriously working her ass off for damage now. It made me sad, Haku had no problem doing damage, while she could barely break 1800. Haha, Haku's popular online and he's low tier, I can't imagine how many Hakumen's will be playing on CS
  10. Really, Tsuna, I said you were ignorant about that matchup, I wasn't name calling. But if you really want to be immature, I've beaten you way more times than you've beaten me, so I think I have a better idea than Keir (no offense). Nu isn't going to be act pulsaring away from oki right from the get-go if Bang uses his mixups well and keeps Nu busy blocking and guessing. On top of that, you're wrong. Bangs j.C (I believe?) very often stuffs Nu's 2C. I have to use 6A to beat Bang's jumping kick, and that's usually too risky to try often. I think I've been punished enough times doing 2C on Bang to know what I'm talking about. 2C works well against Bang when he has holes in his mixups that he has to use to keep pressure, not to anti air his jump kick. You're wrong. Go test it out, unless you time it so, so perfectly it's stuffed. Ryanbillwut showed me that running away too much and depending purely on drive against a good Bang is not a good strategy. Nu has to bait Bang's drive and DD and keep some pressure on him You're right Nu can sometimes act pulsar out of drive, that's why you need to be smart about it, you will absolutely be punished spamming it. You also have less room to complain about locking down Nu. Bang has so many tools to keep pressure on Nu. He's easily the second hardest character for Nu to lock down and keep away, which is why that matchup is even. I'd probably recommend going to the Bang forums because I can't really give too much specific detail on how to do that
  11. No, Tsuna, you're completely wrong. For one, spamming Nu's 2C is incredibly dangerous to use on Bang while he's in the air. Bang's kick absolutely stuffs 2C for decent damage and puts us in a bad situation to deal with his oki. You shouldn't be IAD too much either. But I can't really feel sorry for Bang in that his nails SERIOUSLY make it hard to just spam too much drive, we can't zone Bangs quite so easily, although it isn't anywhere near as bad as Tao for us in zoning Once you run out of nails, yeah, then I can say Bang is in big trouble. Honestly, just backdashing isn't gonna win us games, I kinda feel that's your ignorance and hate for Nu talking
  12. Yeah, XDest and I have probably player over 100 games against one another so there's a lot of familarity Usually I have no issues backdashing out of the 6C, once in a while it tags me though. I was interested in what you meant to counter with TK, but I'd need more examples Haha, and DP would be nice! I'd probably mix some with my backdashes
  13. Xdest and I played a lot today, went pretty 50/50, he uploaded a fight on youtube, guess I'll post it (he crushes me in the second game though). If you could find anything I could capatalize on, I'd definitely appreciate it. I'm not perfect, I do screw up a few oppurtunities for linking combos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUGoPymatz4
  14. Yeah, Ronove, before I started playing XDest on a daily basis, I used to have an incredibly hard time playing against Tao, I used to feel the matchup was more 4-5 in Tao's favor, but I'm beginning to think it's fairly evenly matched now. I used to lose to some of the better Tao's, but I think right now Dest might be the only American Tao player on XBL that beats me (The really good players don't really go online though ), although that doesn't mean every other Tao online is instant win for me either. Right now, I pretty much base all my strategies against Tao off of XDest since he's the only really competent Tao player I know and play It's kinda a wierd adjustment for me as a Nu player, because I'm probably spending 75 percent of the fight up close against good Tao players. A lot of people online don't even realize Tao can crawl underneath 4DD after 5DD. It's because of this I can't use mixups like 5DD>wheel, or 5DD>4DD>TK cresent, or for that matter, even really pressure Tao from afar. Mix in the fact that Tao can do her DD inbetween Nu's drive, or that I can't use 5DD pressure while Tao has metter, so it becomes very, very risky. Last session with XDest I was mixing in some 4B Launchers with Nu. I didn't want to abuse it and become predictable, but it was a really nice counter to Tao ending combos with low hits, or trying to hit me out of Act pulsar when I try to add close up pressure. Overall though, this might be the only matchup, along with Bang, where I feel Nu is doing far more blocking and manuvering than she has to with the rest of the cast in BB
  15. I think what makes things so complicated, Ronove, is that XDest usually Tao's drive in a really complex manner, he does a lot of cancels and feinits with it, mixed with pressure strings and crossups (Possibly one of two Tao's on XBL that actually use it correctly). I don't want to say I'm mashing out 2C, but I do look for any oppurtunities in gaps for 2Cs for a CH. I really want to so badly counter her drives and mixups with Nu's 2A, but it's incredibly hard timing and realy, really not worth getting CH hit for 4000 damage plus oki pressure.
  16. Hey there, I just played like 20 games with Xdest online for Xbox 360 and was hoping to maybe learn something from the forums here. The person above wrote to make sure Nu doesn't block drive. I was wondering, what exactly can Nu do to punish Tao if she blockes her drive, I haven't seen the option. 2C is definitely thrown out a lot but that doesn't punish too many Tao's from a blocked drive. A lot of Tao's aren't a problem online, but I kinda wanna learn what ever options are left against the few really good one's.
  17. Doing Nu's DD is a waste of heat, I've seen Hakumen counter the entire super with his drive. And his Super counter is a joke, you can super jump it, providing it was a projectile that didn't end with the last 4D
  18. Mac turtles? He's usually desparately trying to reach me. Honestly, if they wanna turtle, you 1st, Start being an asshole and plan gravity wells down 2, 4DD as they sit on the other side for pressure 3, 236 4, use spike chaser 5, more gravity if they refuse to get up 6, add pressure with spike chaser, j.DD>jDD combo They can't sit there forever. Make sure you're ready for 6D/2D Don't hey impatient and pulsar a turtle haku, you don't wanna get drive countered and hit for 5000 damage in the corner It's a fairly easy fight, but not Tager easy
  19. Blade, how about sometime this weekend? I'll be a bit rusty but I'll be up for it

  20. I'm not entirely sure how it's done. But it basically looks the same as to when Carl does his, except bouncier.
  21. Hmm. Maybe he didnt like being clap looped? In truth, I was just really on point yesterday, only lost maybe three games on ranked, today and tomorrow could be totally different and I might not be able to beat you a lot anymore DesuEX does combos a lot better, but I guess that's not always everything? I'm a little tired from being out all day, so if we play today don't expect my best :P

  22. Yeah, I was really shocked and thrown off by Kara fast fall when Lord Knight first did it to me. It's....a really valuable tool, but it can't be abused by Lichi either
  23. Cool. Desuex is a lot better at combos than me, he does some pretty insane one's. Did you beat them pretty consistently? Shadowredzero plays Jin. One hit from across the screen knocked me into the corner and from there he'd do the most insane pressure game I've ever seen

  24. Did you face any good Nu's? Only a small handfull that don't suck I just got my ass BEATEN 14 to 3 in a player room by a player called Shadowredzero, haha, it feels degrading getting destroyed

  25. 12 AM? I might be, if im playing BB you can send me an invite. My mic is broken though so I can't talk
