  1. ...Everyone knows Hakumen is way better offline. But, what's your point? Or was that it?
  2. I kinda disagree here. I chip away at Haku's health and don't lose often. Don't really use gravity either, it's a waste of time, all it does it let Haku build up meter while you sit there and do gravity and do drives as he blocks since he it's pointless to air dash
  3. I don't have it up yet, but I had some games with one of the best players on XBL, Shadowredzero. I don't like a lot of the videos of me on youtube because they're pretty garbage and I've gotten loads better since. But, I'd kinda like some critiques of me, especially against really advanced Jins. I'm having some issues with his corner combo resets, with Nu's 2C being too slow, 6A being too slow, and 2B/5B only being able to get out of some situations. Can only think of using her 63214126 as a DP to counter Since there's not a lot of better Nu's on XBL, it'd be great to post the vids here and have some really good, or better players in general critique them and see what bad habits I have, what I need to do differently, what other techniques I could incoporate into my playing, etc. There's obvious mess ups in the fight I don't need pointed out. But yeah, whenever they come out (maybe tomorrow) it'd be great getting your input on how I'm playing against the superior player.
  4. I swear I've seen a few Hakumen's just simply counter it. Once in a while I do it the 214~C rush, stopped my spike chaser and countered me in the process.
  5. Yeah, it's pretty essential mastering TK cresents and feints now, it just means she'll be pretty unplayable without it past low level play
  6. I don't use 214D a whole lot with Nu so I wonder how wierd that's gonna be. Also, 5C no longer turns the other way, right? I don't use it that often anyway, but am just curious Seems like the good Lambda's are mainly going to use j.2DD strings as their primary zoning now. Glad I started using this as much as 5D or more in CT with Nu
  7. I enjoyed watching that Nu player much more than Kahns. He's a great player and all, but the videos I've seen of him have way too many fights timing out.
  8. Oh, soaring zero, was that you I had all those games with? You used Litchi, Bang and Ragna, right? Didn't realize it was you. I was trying to focus on a lot of melee against you
  9. Zaeris is pretty right about that, TK feint distance is good, with tons of tk mixups. Nu can put pressure on Noel really well, you just have to react promptly to Noelle's mixups
  10. Really? Noel is actually one of the matchups I'm most aggressive in
  11. Haha, which was his point, it's probably only something you do on a rare basis.
  12. Huey, WUT just said Nu's 2C is a poor AA against Bang. You have to see the j.c coming from a mile, and if you do, then hell, that's the Bangs players fault, not the priority on 2C. In general, the 2C hitbox is wierd on Bang and is usually stuffed. You can, however risk doing 6A, as that will always stuff Bang's j.C....but getting hit by D nails kinda makes that a high risk/high reward thing And WUT, I had no clue Nu could wakeup tech and backout of 2A/command grab, that's insane. WUT is one of the primary reasons I try to be more aggressive in that matchup, too much backdashing is really punishable.
  13. You're seriously going to bring your negative attitude from Gamefaqs into here? Sorry, but Bang's j.C usually does stuff Nu's 2C, if it didn't this match sure as hell wouldn't be an even matchup. Quit complaining, the fight is even. Use 3C if the Nu is spamming backdash IF you're running out of nails early in the fight on a regular basis, you're probably not playing Bang right
  14. Yeah, over the summer, I got into the habit of over-using it. I guess I wanted to look stylized and unique, but really...it was just dumb and scrubbish And yeah, Dotsafety became a really huge influence on my Nu now. After the online tourney a few weeks ago and hating how simple I looked from boring zoning, I completely restructred my Nu and decided to use more melee pressure with TK feints on the ground and in the air, it's helped massively. Mainly got the idea watching his videos on youtube, but didn't have the guts to pull it off in a real game until recently. Heheh, not that I'm playing like him or want to, it's mainly just that he showed me how versatile Nu can be, and that she doesn't need to just rely on drive
  15. Too much act pulsaring is incredibly bad to do, it leaves you open to being countered if you pulsar too much. It's better to leave pulsar to a minimum, that way it catches your opponents off guard. If you're relying solely on it you're probably not playing right, afterall, it's just a gimmick she has. Lambda won't be able to pulsar through people, so try to break the habit. I pulsar back a lot, so that's gonna take a lot of getting use to
  16. Keir, i'm not talking about mirror fights. It's only been a few weeks, but I restructured my entire game with Nu and made her half rush down, half zoning. Of course, I still flow chart the hell out of Tager, since I don't like Nu's melee tools on him Nu has a very solid mixup game. 6A stuffs nearly any move in the air, so it's a nice approach too. Having Nu sit back and spam D is such a wasted potential of the character. Thank god people can't get away with that shit in CS. Still, even her D strings have crazy mixups Lambda's mainly going to be a pressure character who uses zoning to get in close, it's good practice to do that now in CT. Of course combos will be changed and such, but it'll give you a good feel. I play an aggressive Nu, no way in hell I'd ever go back to running the entire time spamming D. Although, her rush down can be a little weak on characters with DP, mainly Litchi and Ragna, Jin not so much
  17. That combo string is ok, Keir. I mix in the full b strings with a 3C too, but mainly during jump ins. The reason why I think approaching with 2B is better is because you have way more oppurtunity to mix high/lows 2B>2C>6C>Wheel/pulsar 2B>2C>3C 2B>2C>TK 2B>2C>TK feint>mixup of your choice 2B>5B>5C/3C-(If I do 5C and notice they're not blocking low, I go for 3C>RC>combo Honestly, I really believe Nu's 2B is as important as her 2C and drive moves, while not all these things will apply to Lambda, it certainly will help with her for some mixups and pressure, if you usually pulsar back and slip in the wheel here and there during block strings you'll catch people off guard more. I think the Nu's online should try to play her a little more offensively in CT, it'll at least be less of a shock transitioning
  18. Spike chaser is more of a poking zoning tool though, none of the players truly look like they're doing it to zone. I don't use it much in CT, feels too unreliable. As long as I abuse TK feints with Lambda, I'll be happy
  19. So, let's be realistic. A lot of Nu players from CT are most likely going to drop Lambda when they realize they can't mash drive anymore and have to work for their wins. I really wonder who they'll flock to? I'm kinda thinking Hakumen will get even more scrubs online than he does now as low tier. Nu's damage output is still crap, outside of corner combos and catching people with Zwei C in midair. It's going to be interesting, I've been abusing a lot of Nu's 2B string combos for low and highs, and TK feints, she'll be interesting. She's been nerfed hard, but a lot of people don't do absurd damage anymore, exception of Litchi, Ragna, Hakumen, Tao. Beyond the regular drive string with 236, I think not being able to jump cancel will be the biggest shock to us Nu users. It's interesting that Lambda players are using more j.2Ds as their primary zoning now
  20. I hope backdash can still get me out of some bad moments Nu's damage was nerfed, that was expected, and fair A little sad about drive's jump cancel, but not super unfair of a change I do dislike Pulsar doesn't go through anymore Her zoning got nerfed big time, but apparently she has really good pressure now, but weak damage. But in fairness, guard crushing is really useless, I haven't seen vids of it breaking and making it a big deal. They'll burst the instant you do, unles you can break their guard twice She'll looking be mid tier though, so we can't really cry
  21. German, sounds like you need to find a new main for CS
  22. Nonsense, that would depress us all
  23. Interesting that her jabs combo for just a less now. It's gonna be wierd, I mainlu just stuck with 6A to stuff a lot of ground and air moves when I had the chance, with the occassional jab for mixups and quick pokes. It almost sounds like you guys are saying her 2C will a LOT less useful. I didn't use 2C that much as an anti air, more for when there were gaps in peoples block strings, or for the rush down through Dashing/pulsar as a poke and hopefully a counter. But with Nu's 6A...or is it 5a now? Either way, it has such a short distance and has so few frames it seems incredibly risky even throwing that out much to stuff anti airs. Once in a while I use it against Litchi and Bang and Jin, but usually I feel like a simple fakeout negates it completely (like Bangs nails, or Jins EX air projectile). Does Nu's 2C get stuffed a lot, or is just lower in damage compared to the A attack? And yeah, I noticed in the vids Nu's air swords were used a lot now, thank god I make tons of use of that right now, it's so important feinting her air cresents to mixup the zoning
  24. Damn, only 1K? That's a really high risk/low reward trade, Lichi's DP is gonna round to about 3000-4000 plus tech resets if opponent falls for it. Damn I may trade some DPS instead of backdashing, might help, but I doubt I'll throw her DP much, not risking losing half my health for that
  25. Exactly, it can hit someone on the ground for 2B>j.C>j.2C>cresent...RC>Dash>6C>standard drive combo Anyone who claims all you need is her C and D attacks is a moron
