I think it was Obelisk or something? The guy was really getting under my skin, he refused to move out of the corner. He got too overwhelmed if I spammed swords or overrushed him. He definitely felt my wrath after getting a lucky win :D

Nah, dude, I rushed the hell out of him. He was turtling against me the game before and squeeked a lucky win so I fucking rushed him pretty bad. Just watch it, it got the point where it wasn't even because of the matchup Although, he got wise so then I spammed nothing but drive since he just wanted to sit on the other side of the screen and not move till he had meter to magentize. Really frustrating to play against

Oh, hey, that 6A idea seems like a cool idea. A little risky, might be worth doing a few times. Yeah, dude, I totally know what you mean by people teching wierd, some people really fuck over my oki game. Try to rush in more than just TK distance though. Like, mix it up with some 2Bs, which lands some nice damage if they dont tech or tech forward. You can 5D if they tech backwards. 3Cs are alright here and there. TKs. TK feints. sickle gets them to tech, and if you spike chaser they'll tech up and may leave themselves open for some rushdown if they didn't airblock. You should try out some 2B>dash>grab. IT really throws people off, they expect a combo and its totally out of field. I rarely get button mashed out of it because usually 2B continues with a combo that does huge damage if CH hits

Yeah, was really glad to see the improvement, you went from alright to pretty good. I liked the TK's and the rushdowns and mindgames and air swords. Was pretty nice, actually, I was going to make a topic on Gamefaqs and look for games on youtube of players from months ago to current playing against the same character to see the difference. Everyone has that player that pushes them. My sparring partner was XDest, he's the reason why I'm a lot more mobile with Nu than a lot of players. Everyone brings out stuff in certain areas to make us excel

I like the black, but every single Lambda will be that color. Blue's nice too but that will be crazy popular. White will be huge too. Shadow as well. Regular is too plain. I'm hoping to use the blood red/black. If that becomes over popular I might just say fuck it ands use the purple one. Wish my brown and yellow came back though And Kraiser, gold and white? That shit looks ugly as hell

Yeah. A few nights ago I was playing a really good Noel, she was using a lot of her CA's to get out of 5DD and counter for 3000+, but I watched her meter and pulsar'd back and punished until he stopped using CA's and left me to do more mixups carefully. Nu's possibility of pulsaring leaves possible escape routes kinda dangerous too do, seems much safer to just block and react

Carl can use a special to dash past 4DD and punish Nu into an infite :8/: I did know about the 4DD dash, I saw Pulsar's Ragna do it a few times to me. But doing 5DDs>236 makes it a major guessing game too, and if it's from a distance is it really worth taking the possible RC damage?

Yeah, but 5DD>236D~C from behind screen into an RC becomes a big deal to where 4DD becomes a major threat again too though

It is true that after a while, a lot of online becomes a joke when you get to a certain point. I'm not a tourney player by any means, but I've gotten good enough with Nu that most people are kinda a joke, and it's not fun : / You can find really great player games with people at Gamefaqs. Dustloop makes so much fun of them, but some of the main memembers on the boards are really good players, as far as online goes (not comparing them to top tournament winners here). When CS comes out and I get good enough with Lambda, I might actually start going to some tournies, since I'll be more free to do so now And I agree that Nu's drive was kinda stupid and mishandled in CT. 5DD>4DD itself isn't a big deal, start playing competent players though and you'll see how irratating swords get 5DD>4DD>wheel 5DD>4DD>TK 5DD>Wheel 5DD>j.22D~C>mixup/more pressure 5DD>4DD>TK feint>more pressure/mixups/baiting an IAD when people think you'll repeat 5D 5DD>4DD/Act Pulsar She can start doing decent mixups from across the screen. Kinda OP if ya ask me, so in a way 5DD>4DD does become a big deal when you start mixing it up enough. Just my opinion though

Sigh, this really irritates me. We don't need morons playing as Nu OR Lambda and mashing two buttons. It's annoying and makes a lot of the people who main her look bad. I'll be happy as hell when CS is out and idiots and spammers realize mashing 5D isn't a viable option anymore. I'll be happy when idiots that abuse 5C come to find that that move will be easier to punish as well. What a negative and lazy way to play the character, it's not an "american" way to play, it's a fucking idiotic, scrubby way to play. Sorry. Just got annoyed with even the mention of this. Last night, tried to find online uploads of Nu players, at first I thought maybe Ragna/Jin players were some of the worst, but I'm beginning to realize Nu and Arakune players online are possibly the worst Personally, I love Nu's B attacks minus 4B, and 6A is an awesome anti air

...Yeah, it's true. V13 players can still spam some of the best Tagers, it becomes more of a poking game if both players are good, but V13 can keep poking all day

Sigh, I know. I wrote on the Hakuboards that they're a lot more helpful and friendly over there. Feels like the really advanced Nu players on Dustloop never give much advice and then laugh at everyone who posts on Gamefaqs to get some tips and advice

But Kraiser, you're doing exactly what I suggested, you're using it with an RC to back yourself up. That's fine. And no, I don't think you should model yourself from the pro's, you should develop your own style, but it's still useful references. And I still think they're a good basis to look at the core of your character, how many people look at Kaqn's Ragna to base things on? Doesn't mean they're trying to play as him but he's a useful resource.. Minori isn't the god of Lambda, I was just throwing out a random name. If anything, I thought that recent Taiwan Lambda was so much better

...I didn't say 4b was worthless, I said it's not worth fighting over. It's not comparable to 2147. In CS, it also breaks a primer, you can do a fake out into a low or a fakeout TK into a TK, etc. Hell, maybe a RC in case 4B fails into a mixup is nice too. Truthfully, I'd only use 4B if I think they're attacking low, or if I'm desparate or have little to fear. Sorry, doing a 2000 combo in CS and then getting countered with a 4000 and having your opponent on top of you seems....stupid. I kinda would put it like Jins icecar--high risk/low reward, unless there's an RC involved. I mean, haven't you guys watched the CS vids, it's used SO rarely, for good reason. You don't see people like minori or that taiwan Lambda use it. For good reaons. Not exactly like in CT players like Inoue, Reria, Linkua use it much either. Why use 4B much at all when there's TKs? EDIT: When it comes down to it, I am an internet scrub. But, we do have pulsr in the thread, I can't imagine him using 4B more than once in a blue moon against really crazy good players like Veteru, for example. It seems like once you get to a certain level of opponents 4B is really not that viable of an option. TK's usually much safer and confusing, although it can totally lead to being mashed out of and countered too

....4B is kinda stupid when 2147 is one of the best overhead/mixups in the entire game. Really can't believe you guys are still debating over it. The only time I'd say, "fuck yeah, use 4B!" is if you feel REAL certain they're going to be attacking low, getting you the counter. Or if you get desparate

Honestly, I think 4B kinda sucks. The chance of getting CH with it is so small. Why would you guys want to risk doing a crappy 2000 damage that could get you smacked with someone else's 4000 damage combo plus them playing oki games on you now? 2147D is so safe now and it breaks guard, and with meter it's nice damage. Plus you have the threat of ~C to have great mixups and leave them less room to breathe

Wow, Bang v Lambda matchup is that bad now? Urg. Bang was personally my hardest matchup in CT. Rushing Bangs made things easier, but apparently everything gets outprioritized by him now so he needs to be zoned, not sure how that's going. If 3C and 2C are nerfed, that makes things pretty shitty too 2C was godly in CT, a shame it's bad in CS now. 2B/6A are still decent attacks though rushing in though. But, is Lambda not really supposed to rush in for close melee until she lands drive/pulsars her way in?

Severin's pretty right, you really need to just flowchart a Tager, you don't have to get fancy here. Personally though, the matchup is terrible enough that I spent my time rushing Tagers down, too Back pulsar and jump cancel is pretty much all you need in this broken ass matchup though If Tager has a blockstring going on, my advice is to just Counter Assault, if you can.
