  1. Don't be a ho, add me so we can play. For the longest time I thought you might have been a hot, black chick good at video games. Just a rumour, kinda like unicorns :(

  2. Hey, Blue, why were you refusing to fight me? Did I do something to offend you?

  3. Haha! I live in Norristown, my connection down there is way better My college, widener, is in Chester, which is near the border of PA and Jersey. The connection sucks because my college sucks, it's not so bad when I'm back home

  4. No, he can do 5B as well into a counter, provided you tried to punish icecar
  5. Urg, I hate Jin's icecar with 50 heat purely for the rapid cancel You can do a 6A if he tries to RC and then attempts an overhead, but Jin can use the RC in other ways to counter your 6A. Basically, with 50 heat he has a way to automatically use his blockstring on you in the corner, pretty brutal Best idea is to hop over icecar, barrier block it or catch it with a lucky 6D
  6. Ah, you didn't tell me he was using 6C in a blockstring Ok, then do 2C then. It beats 6C every. single. Time. However, be careful about 5C. If you get countered by it then you're shit out of luck. I thought he was running up to you and throwing out 6Cs, that's why I suggested 3C In fact, if you can find gaps in blockstrings, 2C can really hurt Tao. Play around with 2C here and there instead of backdashing out of every string, you'll get tons of juggles and counters from it, just don't abuse 2C or you'll be punished Also, he did that wallbounce, that's a totally free hit for you if you guess right with 2D/6D. Don't be afraid to get in Tao's face. You need to do a lot of hit and runs. If you sit on the other side of the screen and just mash out 6D and 2Ds you'll only slowly chip off Tao's health while just a single 6C will land her over 4000 damage plus more oki pressure
  7. I played Herld the other day and he kinda sucked, although second round he didn't do too bad. My guess is you aren't throwing out enough 2Ds and 6Ds, he was getting hit right and left with them 3C wasn't working? 6C can't beat it if you do it first Also, if you expect 6C you can 2C during the charge up and get a CH for over 4000 damage Also, I don't really recommend throwing out 2As and 5As to beat his drive, avoid and block them, or use drive to knock him out of anything that's not Tao's 5D
  8. Well, the thing, online, there's two things 1. Gotta get used to the timing for online with lag 2. Sometimes there's a lot of pressure in the middle of the game, and we all get nervous and screw it up 3.Using a 360 d-pad sucks I was watching some Goryus videos, I noticed he keeps a really simple style with Nu, he certainly is more than capable of pulling off big combos, but I noticed he didn't always go for the fancy combos, sometimes he played a really good, simple Nu. I still need to practice some combos, but I have been pulling off some stuff lately online, which is awesome. Still haven't practiced much with the CH but I can't seem to hit the 2DD after the neutral j.2C, it doesn't register as an official combo
  9. I...wasn't crying about it? And I mainly was refering to it in the corner since it can lead to taking damage no matter the choice you make Like I said, the matchup is crazy uneven, I have nothing to cry about
  10. Herald isn't too bad of a Tao, don't think he's beaten me though
  11. On note, I never realized how easy 5DD>4DD>IAD j.B>j.C was. I wasn't able to do it because I was only doing 5DD>IAD Still can't figure out how to do the 2C CH that Desuex does. But I do wanna ask, Desu, is the combo worth it, I noticed when you do it to me it's usually about 4500, while the standard CH combo I do to you is maybe 4200 damage
  12. Ah, that's pretty interesting about the 2D, didn't know neutral tech worked. I gotta disagree with you though, Andy, I've had matches were I primarily used 5D. I watch for flying Tagers, don't 5D too close to them, be cute and dash 2D. Seeing Tager fly and dash underneath them to the otherside is fun too. Suffice to say, I do like to mix in pulsars for 2C in hopes of either a CH or 2C combo>RC A lot of Tagers don't ever seem to block low against Nu either. I like to rush Tager on the ground sometimes, but only at mid range at last second I dunno, we play very differently I guess, Andy. I've only watched you v Astaroth so I can't judge yet, but you had a really fun Nu.
  13. Andy, I hope you and I can play on XBL ;D

  14. Andy, I'm not talking about tech traps like...when he does a regular Bnb, smacks you away to the other side of the screen and then does atomic collider hoping you air teched. I'm talking about more complex one's, like Astraroths. The kind where you'll get jabbed in the air, either he does AC if you air tech or do a 360/720 of some kind if you fall on th ground. You're right, Nu has some awesome close game capabilities, but it's better if you just do hit and run tactics with her, if you hit with a good 2C or 3C that's awesome damage. You also play a really aggressive Nu though, Andy, which is out of norm with Nu in general. (I'm beginning to become 60 runaway Nu and 40 close up now though). Like I said though, no need to get fancy. Spike Chaser is really good for pressure from across the screen, but don't ever do it while he has full meter I don't think I've lost to one Tager in the past two weeks with simple zoning tactics
  15. ...I don't really like the advice you're giving Heroic. Doing that shit against a good Tager is big trouble. On top of that, some Tager's can do all sorts of tech traps once they've just landed a SINGLE BnB on Nu, which forces you to burst. Getting smacked with 4000 damage if Nu can do more is great and all, but you'll most likely feel the effects of more than just 4000 damage. Nu doesn't have to be fancy in this fight, zone, zone and zone more. I would never try to rush down a Tager at ALL if I were playing seriously. Sure, I do it when I'm bored but that's it. And that spike chaser isn't really a smart idea. If Tager rolls from a distance back or forth, 5D catches him into a 6DD>2DD>jDD>jDD>j2DD>cresent.No need for spike chaser And full range I'll throw out a full spike chaser, if they're dumb enough to sledge through it just follow up with a 5D combo
  16. If you KNOW this guy is going to do 6C then just use your 3C. Simple. Most likely you won't hit deep enough to use gravity well, but a 3C>wheel>RC combo is still discouraging enough to not spam that move everytime he see's your barrier block. Seriously, if you think Tao will 6C don't backdash, use 3C. I have a lot of heat stored up because XDest crawls through my drive strings and I can't use mixups to hit. By the way, I have a new replay with XDest and I. I just got back from playing Tekken 6 so I was rusty today, he was my first opponent so he won more. Usually we're pretty back and forth, but a lot of the matches come down to the wire. I'm discovering from him though that 5C really needs to be used at a minimum. He's also tagging me while doing crazy drive cancels in the air. Gotta be careful with those 2C's, you'll get countered more often than landing 2C. 2C gets stuffed at long distance by Tao's drive too, I think EDIT:oh, Keir tendril, I didn't realize that was you, I've seen you around a few times
  17. Yeah, the thing is though, I'm terrified to use it on Lichi, because if she baits it or delays it, I'm in huge trouble Bang wouldn't be so bad, but I've tried to time it right only to be hit with a CH 3 hit nail drive attack and lose a lot of health. 6A is awesome, but you gotta ask if it's worth the risk.
  18. I'm deadly afraid to use 6A, although it stuffs nearly every air move in this game I can use 6A on Lichi's air kick, have it clash and then immediately anti air counter with 2C 6A works on Bang's air kick, since 2C usually loses to it 6A on Jins who rapid cancel their icecar into overhead 6A on Tao's drive? That's one predictable Tao, do that against a good one and get countered 6A on diving arakune sounds tempting though, but aren't you afraid of being countered by dive, which leads to like 4000-6000 damage and have you cursed? Doesn't seem worth it
  19. Oh, Severin, it's so cute how we keep flip floppin on wins To be honest, I think you're just better at the matchup, you make me too scared to keep pressure going once you dash away
  20. That looks about right
  21. To be honest, overall I think it's pretty much a rock paper scissors game when the blocked hell's fang occurrs. I don't even try to counter if I see the Ragna has 50 heat, a lot of them will to try RC in hopes of countering you or continuing the combo string pressure
  22. no prob
  23. The Nu was on the crappy side, he messed up on an easy RC combo and never did any damaging combo, and that Ragna was pretty garbage, I was surprised he knew the grab combo that he did from his awful playing. My advice is not to take a lot of tips from random youtube players unless they're known well around the XBL/PSN community or tournament level players No, I don't suggest throwing out jabs like that unless you IB. That Ragna could have used Inferno Diver to negate the jab, punishing Nu and leaving her close up to Ragna. I think that Ragna could possibly have grabbed Nu before she threw out the jab, but don't take my word on that. I noticed the 2a was a counter, that means the Ragna had time to react but 2a was quicker. I highly advise not to counter for crappy damage like that, it's simply not worth it. If you're going to risk attacking after Hell's Fang, just use 2C, grab, dash, or barrier block
  24. Uhhh, well, if Nu manages to IB they can sometimes beat Ragna with a jab. However, I'm not entirely sure what would have happened had Ragna Inferno Dividered. If you're going to risk attacking after Hell's Fang you may as well use 2C to get more damage. It's difficult to get in the position to smack Ragna with a 2A.
  25. Yeah, don't mash RC, wait till you see Nu landing from the air grab, do it too late and she'll bounce off and RC Also, I know for sure that Bang and Arakune will have Nu RC on the otherside. EX, you grab Bang while you're on the left side and RC, you'll now be on tie right side, do a 6C and follow from there. Ragna doesn't get much health back from his drive, you're messing up bad if you see Ragna gaining tons of health back
