......Not to butt in, and I know you are a nice guy, but IMHO, you should NEVER (or rarely) allow anyone to use your (favorite)stick, especially when you have an upcoming tournament or practice session Trust me, it happened to Ky-Sama and I more than twice (her's is still broken) -

Wait...Did you/they LOSE your stick, or they broke it?? ...I hope that everything will be all right:( -
Sheesh...So sorry about seeming irritable, distracted, aniti-social, lazy, rude, etc I am VERY shy, felt awful the entire time (thanks to work), and was upset about coming back to the venue only to learn that our sticks were broken (and after working great for 5-6 months). Again, sorry if I offended anyone or gave crappy strategy/advice, I have nothing but <3 for everyone^_^ Sanoshi: It was great to formally meet with you and talk <3 You have such a wonderful, funny and cute personality, and your Bridget is AWESOME <3 You are simply beautiful, both inside & outside. Sorry about being so quiet, slurred, etc...I was too tired... I hope we can hang out at EVO, and keep repping dat Bridget <3 GoldenRody: It was fun to play you; thank you for the Millia match-up experience, and I am a HUGE FAN of the videos that you upload...Keep up the great work^_^ Jo: GG's, keep repping dat Johnny-- some of your matches looked more like combo videos than matches:O Sorry that my failing skill level disappoints you, needs more free time+Kaqn videos. Stay GDLK, see you at EVO? <3 MikeZ:................Potemkin.... You are a great person and your Potemkin is scary in so many ways. We should play the REAL Marvel at EVO (MvC2). Xie: Thank you so much for running the tournament....I am certain that EVERYONE is very grateful, and appreciates all of your hard work^_^ Sorry if I was a bit of a pain... TGS: It was great to finally play you (had no idea that you still played)-- your I-No is the best one I have ever seen in person, and your GDLK combos almost gave me a heart attack! Great job during the tournament. Spirit Juice: It was nice to meet/play you-- you seem like a nice guy <3 Shoutouts to the ReveLAtions Staff, the 10 other Johnnies I played, other Millia players, Bret(??), SuperFX, JasonD, DacidBro (again, sorry about the awful tips/strategy), NOT fighting Satoshi, everyone else that I played, Satoshi (my favorite Japanese Potemkin player, besides FAB) for being GDLK & signing our sticks, Latif for STILL being GDLK, even after not playing for at least a year, Kyoku's Anji still beasting, the Gentleman who helped run the tournament, LA smog and constantly being compared to ID in a BAD WAY<3 <3 And I APOLOGIZE to the few people I scrubbed-out with Sol (random incarnate) and DI'd with HOS... I hope to see many of you guys in the GGXXAC Side Tournaments at EVO <3
-
Are you going-- can I add you to teams & singles, please? Edit: We thank everyone for signing up. However, I encourage more people to sign up (please SPREAD THE WORD, if you can)-- even if you are just starting to play at a competitive level, it is a great experience, we are helping keep GG alive, and $5.00 is a very low entry fee <3
-
Not to hijack the thread, but will there even be enough time for a GG side tournament, and if so, would it take place on Friday or Saturday? Also, singles of teams? :O I am certain that many people will be interested in entering & helping run it, and this should be organized before RevaLAtions, IMO. I wonder if people want to MM Satoshi...
-
I should have added you in the beginning♥ Thank you so much for bringing a TV^_^ NecroSon: Bring more Flagstaff/AZ guys, please, and thank you for offering/bringing your set-up. Mac: Will you not go if you cannot room with people that you know? I hope you can make it, man... If you want, you can probably check SRK as well... Elvenshadow: This is going to be hype♥ Thank you for signing up! Hellmonkey: Please come to EVO-- it will not be the same without you... SLEDGE: Thanks for signing up, so do your best! Kyoku: ♥THANK YOU♥ Too hype... .... Less than a week after announcing the tournament(s), and more than 2 months before EVO, we already have more than 10 people pre-registered (and I know that people will sign up in person as well)! Needs more EC, SE, SW, MW, PNW, etc players, though^_^ I thank everyone that is interested so far, and thanks again for bringing a set-up, TV, etc... I am becoming more and more interested in giving a pot-bonus ♥
-
Thank you, Shtkn <3 <3 I added you and others to singles, as well as your set-up. Should I do pre-reg for TEAMS as well, or should we figure that out at EVO, and only do singles for now (since teams are not 100% guaranteed right now-- because they are not guaranteed at ANY tournament, IMO)? Sorry about being uncertain about some things...I just want it to be as close to perfect as possible, and I want the players to be happy... Thanks again^_^

Reserved. Because Ky-Sama and I have different schedules & various jobs, both of us will be maintaining this thread, IF it is all right with the Moderators & Administrators. If it is all right with everyone, I will start a pre-reg list. Please post or PM your name, location and if possible, days you will be at EVO/other games you have entered (if necessary). To ensure that everyone is seeded correctly, your location is REQUIRED. However, on site sign-ups are also welcomed, but IMO, pre-registering is better to ensure the bracket is made well in advance and to help everything run more smoothly...Also, if possible, please bring a set-up and extra copy of GGXX:AC. IMHO, we need AT LEAST 3 set-ups, even if there are less than 40 entrants. The more organized things are, the better the chances are of running teams (also if permited by the EVO staff). By the way, I will contact the EVO staff (AGAIN) to try to guarantee that we will have space "reserved" for the tournament, and also to see when will be the best time/date to run the tournament (I assume on the SEPERATE DAY of BBCS??). Please let me know if you have any suggestions. I was also considering adding a small pot-bonus for GG singles (not that I have a lot of money or anything, but I want to add more hype to the tournament(s) ). Pre-reg list (SINGLES) : 1. In case some of you plan on attending EVO and/or entering any of the official tournaments (ex. BB, MvC3, etc), the EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ends this Sunday, then the venue fee will go from $50.00 to $70.00 (LOL)... So I guess anyone who is interested should register ASAP in order to save $20.00 (still a lot of money, IMO)... http://shoryuken.com/content/register-evo-now-chance-win-free-registration-4383/ http://evo2k.com/?page_id=850 And Vince, I totally agree with everything you said regarding the Jam/GG subject-- great post <3 -

IMO, Potemkin is pretty scrubby/broken damage-wise, robs the crap out of you (AKA does not earn/deserve his wins sometimes), has very easy combos that do a lot of damage, but Jam is scrubby in a different way, and of course her damage output is not as good as Potemkin's. ...No offense to Jam users (even I use her and May sometimes), but it is pretty common knowledge that Jam is kind of retarded and easy (but how easy?)...I know she has short range, has to keep the pressure on (as do MANY other characters), but using her/winning with her is not hard (her loop is not hard, IMO and she has many oppurtunities to perform it in matches), from what I have seen, heard, and read through the years...Both her & Potemkin are in the same tier, have very few bad match-ups, rape a lot of characters and are used very often anyway, so Potemkin cannot be too much worse, IMO. For me, fighting Potemkin is nearly just as annoying as Jam (IMO), and I can hate on him all day... But in GG, every character has depth and there are many things to explore and perfect... I miss GG:( -

^ Agreed. -
Although I will most likely buy the DVD (even some of the past FR DVD's as well, if possible)+I STRONGLY advise others to do the same, but some of your previous posts seemed a bit misleading, IMO (but you said that you were stuck in pools, and that tends to happen, which is no one's fault of course). Again, I strongly agree on supporting FR by purchasing the DVD(s), but why did you constantly advise/ask people to donate, if they (the people who missed the stream due to actually being at FR, work, sleeping, etc) were going to end up paying ANYWAY, in order to see footage of GG@FR? GG (top 8) would have been streamed regardless, right? Please correct me if I am totally incorrect (not that I am important/deserve an explation, only curious/assuming); I work 50+hours per week... The bottom line: I am certain that some were *slightly* mislead (especially by earlier posts), and even though buying the FR DVD is a great thing, IMO, they/we should have been told (earlier) that we would need to BUY the DVD in order to see ANY footage of GG at FR...However, I do respect & appreciate the fact that you DID help stream GG, BB, etc and that you also have a weekly stream for everyone to appreciate (and you SUPPORTED GG by ENTERING the tournament <3)...I am just certain that some are a bit disappointed that GG rarely gets stream-time/exposure these days-- despite the fact that there are still MANY PEOPLE who wish to see it on streams, match videos , etc... Had I known this, my sister & I would have recorded more tournament/casual matches (of good players/"fan-favourites", rather than the crappy "personal" matches we recorded) and uploaded them for everyone to see-- but in NO WAY, am I saying that our footage would be a replacement/substitute for the fantastic matches that will be featured on the DVD... Anyway, I am not saying that you did not do a great job for the community, and I am certain that everyone (both those who saw and did not see the stream) appreciate the fact that any footage was streamed at all...I just feel that some (including myself) have somewhat mixed feelings about this, so perhaps next time, this sort of thing should be planned/completely sorted out well in advance (and others should offer/volunteer to help, as well?)? This... Shoutouts to chain-smoking? JK, LOL... And AlphaKami deserves much more credit for his efforts-- you win at life, man<3
-
I was going to wait until Monday or Tuesday, but...Congrats to the winners/top 8! Even though there were AT LEAST 10 GG players who previously planned on going to FR, but had to cancle last minute (due to personal issues), it was still very fun/hype <3 I TRULY do apologize to those of you I held up due to STICK ISSUES (sorry if I seemed irritated, it just sucks when you try to charge, charge cancle, action charge, etc and your Dust Button keeps going out)-- it was extremely embarrassing and shameful, but it should be working better for now on... I would also like to thank everyone for their patience with my sister and I-- it was our FIRST TIME helping run a tournament/being staff members/volunteers...It was a very unique experience, and if allowed to again, we would love to help run/organize a another GG tournament (hopefully do a better job, next time? Jeff is a pro already)... Kyle: Thank you so much for allowing everyone to play in your room, as well as helping whenever you were able to... I truly regret never getting the chance to play you, but perhaps someday... Congrats on 4th place, stay GDLK ^_^ Zoogstin: It was nice seeing/playing you again, sorry if I was not a challenge-- I totally have no clue how to play the ZA-OR match-up (I should learn all of my bad match-ups, instead of somewhat relying on counter-picking). You have the best US Zappa I have ever seen/played, and keep up the great work-- you helped represent NC well! Alphakami: Thank you for bringing the TV's to Kyle's room, and GG's on Sunday-- your Ky is very good/different, and it was very fun to play you...Take care. Solid Play: It was nice to see/play you again; sorry about the mirror matching...I just dislike playing the SO-OR match-up, LOL...I wish you would have placed higher, but great players tend to place lower than they deserve sometimes, sorry:( But your Sol was ON FIRE during casuals-- keep beasting, and never give up <3 TheSlyMoogle: It was a pleasure to finally play you, and great job placing so high-- please continue to play/keep GG alive! JewDoSmash(??): GG's in casuals, and thanks for the kindness and helping find more entrants for GG <3 AsianNightBlade: GG's in casuals and in the tournament-- Slayer makes me panic, LOL The General: GG's, keep grabbing bursts, LOL... Lil Majin: Great job WINNING Guilty Gear! All of your hard work/effort had finally paid (literally, LOL) off <3 I never got the chance to play you, but I saw you tearing up people-- stay GDLK, and please continue to play GG... Stone: Ugh...I was dying to play you again ever since EVO, but I am sorry that my stick trouble prevented that... Your Johnny is very solid, and thanks for being such a nice guy <3 <3 KrazyKorean: Good job doing so well in casuals+tournament. Even though the MI-OR match-up is in OR's favour, I have NO IDEA how to effectively fight her (but playing you did help a bit, thank you), and yes, she does annoy me, no offense, LOL...But your Millia is solid, congrats on 9th^_^ 4GottenHazama: Your spirit was quite inspiring...You did very well in the tournament, and please continue to play GG <3 Everyone else that helped with the tournament/I played/spoke to: GG's; I do not have a great memory, but I appreciated every match that I played and I thank everyone who entered GG+wishes to keep the game alive. However, it would have been nice to play more people...Sorry, I was EXTREMELY tired/distracted during the entire weekend, so I might have ignored people by mistake...No hate, I hope that everyone had fun/a safe trip back home <3 I also Thank Shin Blanka & Shonda for their effort, selfless acts of kindness and for creating one of the GREATEST/most hype tournaments out there (full shoutout at SRK) BTW, sorry about Dragon Installing a few people-- was not trying to be mean/arrogant, just trolling
-
Not to derail your thread, but perhaps you should rename it "Final Round 14 GGXX: AC, BBCS, MBAA, AH3 Results Thread" and/or Shoutouts (IF you want)?? BTW, congrats on placing so high, you repped Socal well <3 Shoutouts later...tired...

Regarding the Guilty Gear XX: AC tournament, is there a guarantee it will happen, or does it depend on the amount of people that are interested/will attend (on Friday)? I am certain some Phoenix players would be interested in entering if they can make it/if the tournament will actually take place. Perhaps create a pre-reg list?? Also, I apologize for asking silly questions/not looking well enough, but will there be prizes for the top 3 or winners of the tournaments? -

From my past experiences, no. However, they usually/often do search your baggage (ESPECIALLY when you have a console or joystick in your carry-on or backpack), so it would be best to keep it on top of your other items/leave your bag open so they can easily see it... -

Oh... Perhaps you could have tied it into a ponytail/bun (or got it relaxed if you wanted it straight/more managable?). That sucks. IMO, speeding is barely worth the risk, because being stopped by the police tends to take longer than simply leaving/arriving to work a few minutes late (not trying to be rude), plus you can get an infraction I hope that everything works out for you, though... -

Thanks for supporting the scene(s), but the link does not appear to be working, AKA gives me an error message. Also, if it is all right to ask, is there a certain amount that you need to reach (goal) and are you planning on streaming the ENTIRE GG & BBCS tournaments? :O Only curious, sorry... -

& Orrax: Sorry, I meant Dragon Install Sekkai (SP?)/HOS'S DI, sorry about not being specific...I am not insulted by regular DI; not even the suicide-DI (which I troll with) <3 As for the source of the match-up ratios, Ky-Sama obtained the "information"/opinions from a Japanese message board, blogs, etc; they were lists/personal diagrams/charts/opinions based on various players' experiences and observances-- she also found some match-up opinions of top players such as Dio, Mint, Ogawa, BLEED, Woshige, etc. When the game was new and HOS was A- - B-tier, most people (on the boards, etc) seemed to believe it was 5-5/even or a slight advantage for HOS, but as HOS dropped to C-tier and players explored the game/characters more, the majority (on the boards, etc) seemed to believe that Sol has a 5.5 or even 6-4 advantage (WTH?!) over HOS, while a few considered it to be 5-5/even-- coming from both HOS and Sol players...Some of them gave examples, based on personal experience, opinions of others & various matches (even while watching actual matches), but a few were random Japanese (apparently) who gave no good reasons. However, IIRC posts seem to become awfully buried and or deleted when they become too old, so it would be hard to find older info now. I am not saying I believe Sol beats HOS simply because many Japanese players believe so, but if so many continue to believe it+give decent examples why, especially more recently; I cannot exactly rule it out, either. They were correct about Johnny beating HOS-- according to Reeido and BLEED's personal diagrams, when I had no idea, LOL (but even Americans know that). Not sure about what americans think about HOS vs Sol, though... Regardless, knowing so little about the match-up, I am not in any position to assume much, and I would rather try actually learning, rather than worrying about the ratios, etc...Besides, HOS has ABA, Zappa, Axl, Faust, Slayer, Potemkin, etc to worry about more... Ray: Awww, too bad...Perhaps you should have asked one of us for a ride before we left? I would have given you one had I know (if you wanted) <3 Having your own car is the greatest thing, ever. Also shoutouts to AH3 for raping my ears & head as well. No offense, but it killed my senses:(
