  1. I suppose partially because this is GG/Dustloop, NOT Marvel/SRK, etc? Being on SRK for a very long time, I am used to people putting on a facade online (especially us Marvel players-- some of the meanest people online ex. Dasrik-- R.I.P. ; actually turned out to be one of the kindest, most helpful people out there), but when you treat both forums & communites as different (like they are) and know nothing about the person who is "trolling", you can never be too certain (even if you are aware that some or most of what they say is most likely joking/trolling, how can you be 100% certain?)...Regardless, even though I am socially-retarded, it was good to speak with you at SB5, and you are/seem to be a very real, kind man^_^ Also, shoutouts to the flu...
  2. I understand...I suppose it was an honest mistake (even though both us of share the same last name+state and some people from SoCal were seperated, IIRC) and I appreciate the fact that you tried to help even though it was already too late...We never saw the brackets-- online, because we were busy getting ready to leave (we worked on Wednesday night), and then because we arrived at the venue late (our fault, I suppose LOL)...It is just that the main reason why I went (GG-wise) was so that I could redeem what happened at EVO (no one's fault, of course)-- had to play the two best Johnnies in the US (and used HOS/Sol, LOL) so of course, I placed last and looked like a total JOKE/n00b. But because my sister played Moroha in her first match, and I won my first, I convinced her to random select and eliminate me (I wanted an IK, though) so that BOTH of us would get at least ONE win. BTW, we did not go whining to Fugee or anything; he simply checked up on us (as he did everyday, because we are friends), then the topic came up, and he had a small problem with it, I suppose... Regardless, it is over and the event was GREAT. GREAT JOB placing high, running GG and helping organize teams-- it made a event much more worthwhile for everyone, thanks <3 Sanoshi: Heh, do not worry, we will come and see you as soon as we are allowed to request off (next year FTL) <3. As for EVO, us WC GG players tend to be very lazy (look at AZ, LOL), so I doubt there will even be a GG team tournament at next year's EVO. But it would be great to sit back and relax (assuming we will ever play seriously again) while your Bridget (Dat Bridget) OCV's people... Anything happening in SoCal between January-April?? :3 Kyle:...Geeze... All of this credit is making me feel guilty. It was nice to meet you as well-- please come to AZ someday-- you will be the guest of honor and I am certain that everyone will come out just for you^_^
  3. Congrats to the winners and thanks to everyone who supported GG and also to the kind gentlemen who allowed everyone to use their set-ups for casuals+tournament play <3 Not that it really matters, but I was the Arizona HOS player who used the Kaqn and Zero (0) colors... Moroha: Great stuff in teams, wish we could have played casuals after having our TV turned off at EVO:( Every USA ABA player can learn from you. DoragonKoroshi: Thank you so much for allowing me to play so many sets with you-- I honestly believed you were getting bored of playing me, but even though Testament is one of the most annoying match-ups for me, I REALLY enjoyed playing you, and that says a lot! Such a fierce Testament-- one wrong move, and I lost 50% health or more:O BTW, I switched from PO because I was not feeling him too much after a while (was using so much PO all weekend), and I wanted to try my Kusoru for a bit. Sorry about the J.Ps; I tend to use it a lot, but more so on taller/bigger characters/ones without DP's, and yes, it is kind of broken, period...LOL I believe I may have used more 2HS or 6K>BHB (FRC), etc than throws, because Testaments grab range scares me:O GG's. A3: You seem like a cool guy, and thanks for the pity matches (with SL, ZA, etc). Your Johnny is obviously a monster, so it is extra hard for me to learn that match-up with my main. Good stuff in the tournaments, casuals, MM's^_^ Mike Z: GG's in the tiny room...You seemed a bit distracted sometimes, and sorry about insulting your PO by playing mirrors. Good to know that you still have love for GG<3 Zoogstin: Thanks for being our partner; sorry if we disappointed you/made you look bad. Not to make excuses, but my stick (down, forward, slash and dust) was acting up badly all day Saturday (I first noticed playing Marvel), but you did great and great job placing fairly high in singles-- the scariest Zappa I have ever seen in person:O 10 Stars: Fun matches, even though I am totally retarded when it comes to the Johnny-HOS match-up. Thanks for trying to help and for allowing everyone to use your TV. Titanium Beast: Great job showing everyone how HOS is supposed to be used; easily the best HOS in the US. I learned/REMEMBERED a lot simply by watching you play, and obviously, I was extremely nervous playing you and I have never played another HOS player before (not making excuses, I am free). At least I did not get DI'd again, LOL. Great job in the tournaments and in casuals (especially on Sunday), keep it up. BlueNine/Aria: Everytime I play you, I keep forgetting that JI combos do not really work on May!! Good stuff in teams, wish you would have played more. Aria: I am so proud of how much your Jam has improved! Keep trying to learn as much as possible-- never get discouraged, you have lots of potential, sweetie<3 Havoc: Thanks for trying to help everyone improve and for the rape...Your Eddie is scary. Vyers: Even though I dislike fighting Bacon, I really enjoyed playing you. Sorry if you became a bit bored, but thanks for trying to help me with the match-up, and also for helping us find a partner for teams. I hope you feel better soon^_^ NerdJosh: LOL in teams...I did not see you play much GG, but GG's, and sadly, there may not be a "next time", LOL... Everyone else: MarlinPie, SH, SteveH, HellMonkey, Shtkn, BBQ Sauce, Azarath, Potemkin-guy (pink color?), Kamui, Sesshryu, etc, etc (bad memory FTL, obviously) <3 <3 <3 Even though Saturday was lacking Marvel casuals and Sunday was kind of lacking GG casuals IMO, I had to play my little sister in the tournament (SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME POOL IN THE FIRST PLACE, WTH?!/random-select FTL), the event was GDLK (even the crowded Marvel pools LOL)...I thank Fugee and Ghaleon so much for their kindness and hard work.
  4. How are you? You still playing, Jo? <3

  5. DoragonKoroshi: Um, not to be rude, but I was kind of curious (and perhaps a few others are as well?) about certain rules/details of 23v23, as I posted in the other thread Anyway, since apparrently, I waited too late/am not 100% certain about going to this event, OR is already taken regardless:( So even though I am not good/do not really use him, I will have to use.... SO (since OR is already taken FTL...) - Sol-Bumguy, Phoenix, AZ - Friday-Sunday/Monday? If I GO:3
  6. Hi, are you going to Season's Beatings?:O BTW great job at the previous tournaments-- rep dat Sol!

  7. Sorry for asking silly questions, but how exactly does the 23 on 23 work, and how will the players be selected (assuming you only want decent or "good" players to represent the character(s) )? For example, what if 3 or more players wish to Rep Testament, but as far as most people know, only 1 of them is good, well-known, etc? Will popularity, tournaments rankings, reputation, ranbat points, gender, etc play any role? Also, is it first come, first serve as far as trying to rep a certain character-- if so, would a player be allowed to rep their sub instead of their main? Again, sorry about the random question...I am certain that many people would love to see it happen, but some may be turned off by the fact that it can be a bit of a popularity contest:O And IMHO, someone probably should have created a thread (with poll) in order to truly determine whether the players prefer 3v3 or 2v2 team tournament-- which is more important than 23v23, IMO (at least most/everyone will get a chance to enter)...
  8. Good, and good luck finding a hotel/room as well^_^ 7ish would perhaps be a good time for some/many, but what about the players who are playing in other tournaments (ex. SSF4, MvC2, UMK3, etc)? If MvC2 has anywhere near the numbers it had/has at EVO, then some players will need to be running back and forth for possibly 2-3 tournaments (assuming the players will still be in GG singles by the time Marvel, UMK3, and side tournaments start) and that is hellish, IMO... IMHO, other than the fact that some players may be arriving on Friday, it would probably be just as good as Saturday-- or at least when it comes to not overlapping/interfering with other tournaments, but I could be very wrong:O Also, IMO, a 5 on 5 or even possibly a 23 on 23 would be interesting, assuming there would be enough time and/or interest to run it; but it may end up being a bit of a popularity contesthttp://www.dustloop.com/forums/uploads/emoticons/default_frown.gif' alt=':('> Also, I hope this will not interfere with trying to run team tournament(s): http://shoryuken.com/f7/seasons-beatings-redemption-daigo-momochi-choco-gamerbee-oct-15-17-columbus-oh-245802/index41.html#post9584008 BTW, great job trying to get everything organized in advance! As I said, everyone who cares should try to help in some way, if possible<3 ....... As for MM, still uncertain about going and you are such a great player that, I would simply be a waste of your time/no where near a match for you:O However....
  9. BTW, in case some people have not read it already (on SRK), the deadline for registraion is Monday, Oct. 11th, and those of you that are interested in splitting room costs/finding housing, seeing updates, asking questions, etc would probably have better luck reading the SRK SB5 thread:http://shoryuken.com/f7/seasons-beatings-redemption-daigo-momochi-choco-gamerbee-oct-15-17-columbus-oh-245802/. BTW, not that it makes a big difference, but Fugee said they will be using AC+ for the tournament. Also, it would be great if someone organized a GG Team Tournament-- even 5 on 5 would be nice (would prefer 2v2 or 3v3, though). IMO, everyone who cares/is interested should try to help make it happen <3
  10. If my job will allow me to get off for SB, I would like to challenge DoomieJ, Mr. Biscuits and probably someone else first to 5 for 5 (in GG, obviously), if that is all right...I am not good, have not touched the game since EVO/forgot a lot of things, and it would be my first time MMing in GG (Marvel player), so I should be super free IF I go<3 Also would be willing to help with bringing an extra GG set-up, recording matches, etc, if needed.
  11. LOL, this is why I love Roi (his Sol/playstyle, obviously) <3-- I am used to seeing Millia (especially Woshige) perfecting other top players, but not the other way around! Yes, Roi has a bit of a unique/somewhat unorthodox Sol, but a lot of patience as well; all while maintaning a solid rushdown and pressure game...
  12. If you have not seen videos of Roi's Sol, then you are missing out, IMO. 012 is insane, but Roi's defense/blocking is better, and he is simply more solid, IMO. However, Isa's Sol was scary before he switched to Eddie:O
  13. It would be a lot more tempting if someone/everyone would try to help organize and run a side/Team Tournament for GG...Please not let it end up like EVO:(

  14. I still adore GGXXAC, but ever since spring, the AZ GG scene has not been as "active" as it was months/year(s) before, which IS discouraging. However, a few people do host sometimes (mainly for BB, MB, etc IIRC), but not everyone is able to show up...It is just a bit strange/sad how it quickly went from being very alive/active, with GG RanBats, to somewhat inactive, with random small sessions (I know that a lot of players are playing BB, and real-life issues may interfere as well, but still...) :O However, IMO, it should never be up to one or a few people to preserve and/or revive a community; everyone who loves the game(s) should support it/them and try to help as much as they can...I wish I could do more, but meh... GGXXAC is one of the greatest fighting games in existance (it rivals Marvel, IMO), and IMO it will be a bit hard for ASW to top/replace it. Perhaps every player is unhappy with something about the game (or characters), but no game is perfect and it may/will die if we allow it to do so...I would love to play GG competitively again, but right now, it is hard to find people to play with in this state (work-permitting), and the playing computer (MOM mode or 1P Vs. CPU/Gold teams?) or #R online are not good options, IMO...
  15. LOL, not really a planned trip-- mainly going to San Diego to visit a family member, since Ky-Sama & I randomly got the same days off at work. I wish we could hang out and/or play all day, but hopefully sometime (soon) in the future <3 However, if we DO go (to FFA, I suppose? LOL), then it will probably be on Tuesday (tomorrow) night or Wednesday afternoon (we need to leave for AZ AT LEAST an hour before nightfall, because the drive is scary). Sorry, we would just hate to announce anything/ask people to go mainly to play us, because we are not good/important, LOL (and that arcade layout is kind of suicide for me/us, LOL). Also, it would be great to play the better players as well -- playing great players is one the best ways to gain the experienece to improve^_^ Thanks for the help, courtesy and kindness, everyone-- I truly appreciate it <3 Peace.
  16. Aloha, SoCal. I was wondering if any GG players ever play at AI (or possibly FFA?) on weekdays (Tuesday-Thursday afternoons or evenings)? Only curious, please disregard if they do not...However, are there any Marvel cabinets there (I know there is/was 3-5 at FFA LOL)? Sorry, not trying to spam <3 Peace!
  17. IMHO, GG should be singles, for the reasons mentioned above. Again, perhaps someone should add/create a poll about it? Also, if the main GG tournament is going to start early mainly to give enough time for a side tournament (teams?) to run afterwards, then there should at least be a guarantee (or something close to one) that a side tournament is going to happen first (everyone who is interested should try to help out in some way, if they can--hopefully if it does happen, it will not be LAST-MINUTE/semi-disorganized like at EVO, no offense). And Marvel & GG on the same day FTL...At most majors, I usually see them running on seperate days (usually Marvel on Friday, IIRC), and because SB is known for being this great, big tournament that is extremely hype for both GG & Marvel players, I kind feel that each game deserves its own day-- but if that is what works best for SB/the staff, then so be it...
  18. Always wanted to go to SB...So much Marvel/CRACK hype <3 Will the entire event/GG be streamed? Only wondering because streamed GG tournaments are somewhat rare these days. Also, would the staff be willing (or allow someone else) to run GG teams if the official tournament will remain singles (perhaps add a poll to this thread, if possible?)? As for BB, IMO, it would not be a crime or anything to NOT add BB to the official line-up (especially if others are allowed to run side events)...My opinion, of course^_^
  19. I got it from YOUR signature^_^ LOL, not stalking, I simply found it to be funny-- especially since my JI combos did not work very well on her :O
  20. Great job-- I love your style, anatomy and proportions^_^ You should color it when you get the chance! And LOL at I-No<3
  21. Ahh...It was funny that I had to play the two best American Johnnies (in a row)..was shaking like a leaf-- I did not stand a chance, LOL...Winning is not everything (losing is fine, but that was almost like an IK)/losing is a good way of improving, but it kind of sucks that some of us had to play VERY GOOD players in our first and second matches (it really sucked for Blue9, Stormlocke, Christina, etc; yet IIRC, a few people placed higher than others mainly because they played mostly um, not-so-good players at first, IMO)... Sanoshi: Of course! You should have just went-- people were missing you:( And hopefully next year, the TV's are not all blurry/laggy like the ones at CP:O BTW I am glad that GG had a decent amount (IMO) of entries (probably would have had a few more if some people arrived earlier/were not playing in other tournaments)
  22. Thanks for the add, hun-- I had a great time with you at EVO, and I hope that I did not come off as a bit mean at times, especially before I/we left...I was just feeling a bit emotional (for once) and slightly irritated:( Good luck at Stryfe's tournament<3

  23. Good games <3 Even though I am scared to death of Potemkin, I had a very fun time playing your beastly Potemkin! You were so sweet, that at times, I almost felt a bit guilty for giving alot of effort, even though you were beasting hard. But it sucks that you did not really know the HOS match-up-- not that I know the Potemkin match-up too well, either (I really should fully learn my bad match-ups already, LOL), but I hope we were able to help eachother out with the match-up^_^ You played the Sol match-up pretty well, though... Anyway, it was great to meet someone as kind-hearted and skilled as you are, and it would have been nice to socialize more, even though Ky-Sama and I are EXTREMELY shy...Also, I did not want to bother you too much/make you uncomfortable, because I kind assumed that some of the fanboys were starting to make you feel uncomfortable:( Thanks for the intense, yet friendly casual matches+the pictures, take care hun! LOL, actually, we kind of do when we mess around-- it MUST BE because of Marvel... Thanks, it means a lot coming from you...I was REALLY surprised when you asked if we wanted to team up again, because I had always assumed that we were never worthy of teaming up...It sucks that it may never happen again, but oh well, I guess. You have improved as well (you make Johnny look S-tier-- you make every hit count extremely well, and it seems near impossible to safely get out of your pressure at times) and I hope that you will keep playing and ENTERTAINING all of us:)
  24. I was not using you...I simply wanted to play GG/casuals in order to have fun and warm up...Besides, I was playing in Jo's room the night before :O Anyway, GG's, you seemed like a very nice guy<3
