  1. No, I wanted to fight Testament more than anything...But perhaps, it will never be...Never again (not that you were missing anything) Well, DI is offensive, IMO (I had it done to me at Final Round), but I am bad at landing it in real matches/on a slippery floor, so I would never use it often if I was actually good at it...
  2. Shoutouts to Dan, Tempered amd Choco for hosting-- thank you so much for supporting the scene throughout the years...When I first played there, I was awfully new at GG (summer/fall 2009), and thanks to you guys, you helped so many new/potentional players improve... I will be grateful for your selfless generousity forever:) ...I just feel a bit guilty for not giving back much... Good luck with the move:O Shoutouts to Ryd for drinking a lot of tea and NOT using Testament against me...LOL...Sorry about attemping Dragon Install so many times; no disrespect... Shoutouts to Ryuuka's Chipp, Anji, etc...Finally got the chance to play (even if you did not necessarily wish to play me), sorry about holding up the matches due to stick trouble and playing awfully scrubby starting out. Shoutouts to Orrax's Sol for irritating me/making me nervous as usual-- no disrespect <3 I wonder why the Japanese seem to believe SO vs. OR is in Sol's favour? I kind of doubt that, but perhaps I should actually try to learn this match-up someday (LOL at dropping EVERY Jump Install combo)...if I continue to play this game... That baller combo you performed on my Sol was so amazing, that I had to stop and give respect...Despite playing Reload online somewhat regularly, I can easily the improvements in your AC Sol... Sorry about the lazy mirrors...I recame bored/discouraged/too tired using HOS, so I wanted to troll with Troll Badguy, LOL. Sorry about the odd behaviour, been up for around 20 hours... Sorry about the stick troubles...The sliding on the floor drove me insane, and my slash seemed to be going out at times. I also wish that >_<, Ray, Imperfect and others could have showed up, but whatever, I suppose.
  3. Thanks for the update... Not that we are important or anything, but my sister and I might be able to make it, but late (10:00PMish) due to working long morning shifts... But if I bring something again (if allowed), will people actually drink/eat it this time? LOL...Well, it was not *exactly* Mountain Dew, so my fault...
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCIb7Yv5wpo#t=1m1s ......... If it is all right to ask, is the Melty House still hosting this Saturday? :O
  5. Of course, the GG/BB players who are actually ATTENDING (or are possibly attending) Final Round are most encouraged to vote-- not just random people who simply like or play either game (AKA voting based on popularity, bias, etc). Dishonest voting/creating new accounts just to vote should also be discouraged... Regarding GG having smaller turnouts than BB at fairly recent events: IIRC, last year's FR had more entrants for GG than BB, as well as NEC and FF's (?). Also, SB's, NCI and other fairly large events had good turnouts for GG, as well -- sometimes, quality is better than quantity, IMO. It seems that GG truly is making a comeback, so if the players feel that running GG on a Saturday will help bring in more numbers (I do), please vote ^_^
  6. Slightly fixed, sorry. I am the same way, but mainly because the Marvel scene is dying quite badly (and before it was dying, it became tiring/discouraging/irritating to often PAY TO PLAY-- AKA MM JUST to play casuals...). I certainly will try out/learn Marvel3; I still enjoy older Capcom/Vs. games, and will play pretty much anything for LOLz/when I am bored...
  7. I agree with Kamui for the most part, especially since a lot of players tend to arrive in the afternoon or later; and also, if JefFree decides to run a team tournament on Friday night (if allowed). Speaking of teams, if GG singles were to remain on a Friday afternoon, then would there be enough time/space/resources to even run a team tournament later that day/night-- or would it be allowed to happen ONLY if GG was somehow moved to a Saturday (IIRC, last year, the ballroom closed a bit early for some people's standards, and there is no guarantee that the tournament could be finished in a hotel room)? I may or may not go, but regardless, it would be great (it is a tradition<3) to have a GG team tournament, if it is not asking for too much <3 Sanoshi: Ooooh...we have to talk soon <3 Honestly, please try to make it out-- make it happen!
  8. HateraidRed: Everyone is different; not playing/liking BB does not mean anyone is a "cry baby", etc-- many people play a different variety of games, so if people do not like/play BB, then it is their choice. Being open-minded is also respecting the fact that people like or dislike a certain game for their own reasons. why so serious, no one is FORCING you to play GG... As for me, my main game has been Marvel long before GGAC even existed, and I play CvS2, 3S, MvC1, random games when I get bored, and will certainly get at Marvel3. The main reason why I never got into SF4 is because work takes up 80% of my free time, so I missed my chance/would be too far behind practice-wise (also, no next-gen console).
  9. Of course, but some of us DO play/PREFER GG as well (even a lot of BB players admit/feel GG is a better game, etc.), so I fail to understand why ONLY something BB-related would be in the title (why not refer to both games and/or others?)-- the site is still called DUSTLOOP, after all (lame excuse, but still). Not trying to disrespect the game/its players, nor am I trying to start BB Vs. GG BS... No hate; this is not a big deal to me and others, it is just that people actually play Guilty Gear in Arizona<3
  10. That is good, especially if he will not tragically catch the flu or something this week. If Ky-Sama and I go (not that we are important, good, etc LOL), we would glady bring an extra set up+drinks or something for everyone, if needed <3 Chipp all the way................ or Potemkin:O
  11. Why not? :O May, Anji, Sol or Chipp? Hopefully, the NEXT thread-title will not have anything BB-related in it, because not everyone here *only* plays that-- ...........:O I mean, I have nothing against people liking/playing it, but there are other much better games out there that AZ players happen to play, IMO.
  12. POTEMKIN. BTW, if it is all right to ask, is the Melty House still housing next Saturday?:O
  13. I agree. IMHO, although everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Roi is not getting enough credit in this thread. 012 certainly is a GREAT Sol player, but IMO, Roi is arguably/slightly more solid, tends to adapt better/more quickly, and more balanced (his defense is very good, especially for someone who mains a rushdown/highly agressive character like Sol). However, 012's rushdown is probably the best I have seen when it comes to Sol (his Sol is INSANE, period); he also never seems to give up and is full of surprises-- the main issues I have with him is that his defense is not always great (for a great player like him; if he was a lower-level player, it would not be as big of a deal, IMO); he tends to be a bit reckless/impatient (so does Roi) and in some of the videos I have seen, he tends to lose to Sol's bad match-ups more/worse than some of the other top Sols do, IMO. At first, I did not believe Roi was very good, then I saw more recent videos of him and his Sol kind of reminds me of Isa's a bit (they are all different, of course). Even though I do not really use Sol, I enjoyed watching videos of many different high-level Sol players throughout the years, so I am stating my opinion SOLELY based on what I have seen in countless videos (not saying I know a whole lot about these players/the game, because none of us can really see EVERY MATCH that is played at Japanese arcades). IMO, I would put the order as: Roi (for being very solid & a vicious rushdown, constantly overcoming match-ups/other great players, GDLK yomi, great defensive game, qualifying for SBO for 2 years straight? IIRC, and more) 012/Isa when he mained Sol (IAD CH SW loops everywhere, good defense, solid, unpredicable rushdown+much more), PC (back in the day/if he still plays), Mouse (not certain if he still plays or changed his name-- he was a true beast back in the day)/Kishitaka, NOB, Ogiwara, Miu, Koro-Chan (he never appeared to be very great to me, but I have not seen any recent videos of him since summer)/Kusoru?... My opinion, of course.
  14. LOL, I was on SRK LONG before premium memberships even existed, so of course, I know what it is/was premium at one time (I still have my premium-sized avatars), and I did so to support SRK/Evo... I assumed they somewhat upgraded the premium membership or something to create the rep-system (only premium members were allowed to rep and see who repped them), but looking back, I suppose premium-members simply had more access to it and such, IDK... This thread was created for the purpose of suggesting/discussing premium membership (to the Mods/Admins), so I was simply suggesting that I believe (IMO) that a repuation system is not a good idea/pointless (in case they did want to use it)-- but perhaps I should have posted in the Site Feedback/Suggestion thread? Either, it is no big deal to me...post-work rambling<3 P.S. I also agree that larger avatars would be a good idea (but I kind of assume that would automatically come with premium membership).
  15. IIRC, this is the only (current) thread regarding premium membership, since this thread was closed: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?8598-Premium-Forum-Account Awards? Um, I was referring to negative repping posters for whatever reason (for disliking the poster, his/her post/thread, trolling, etc)-- the more reps, good or bad, a poster had, the longer their "bar" was; and it was green when they received mostly positive reps, or red when mostly negative reps were received:O When they introduced premium memberships on SRK (it was 2003-2005?), they created a reputation system with it (or shortly after?), but it was removed in either 2008 or 2009 (for abuse or because it was kind of pointless?), I assume:?:
  16. No rep system/reputation points, please... Random SRK trolls were abusing negative reps (neg bombing), and the entire system was a bit silly (and useless/somewhat of a popularity contest), anyway IMO-- which was probably the main reason why it was eventually removed....
  17. LOL why would it be an honour to play against Ky's (and OS's) worst match-up (assuming she would even use Ky:O)? ...I work on that Saturday, LOL...
  18. I apologize for asking silly questions, but will all games get a "fair" amount of stream time, or will it be 75% or more of SSF4 (I understand that SSF4 is usually the largest, and is also the favourite of many, but.....)? No offense, of course. IMHO, if GG is selected to be in the official line-up, it would be great to have a decent amount of the tournament streamed (if possible), especially since GG often gets VERY LITTLE love (stream-wise) at majors, and it may not change unless someone sort of breaks the cycle... IMO, more people should get the chance to see how great of a game GG truly is (when possible/convenient for the staff)<3
  19. LOL, I had no idea that Kyle played BB (seriously/competitively):O Well, unlike GG (he used to play GG/use DI), they do have BB at HBB's, IIRC...Even though I dislike BB, good stuff, both of you^_^ Ryuuka; Oh, I see...:O Shame on me for not being certain that he is Filipino (mixed or not, they are everywhere in Hawaii)
  20. Oh...? I hate to butt in, but I kind of assumed he was Filipino or mixed (half-Mexican, half-??). However, Latinos can look many different ways, IMO-- kind of like African Americans <3 By the way, congrats to everyone who went to SCR and placed well:)
  21. Yes, you did a great thing for the GG community, and it will be appreciated forever (even if you will never host again, you guys deserve your space/place to yourselves, etc)...It is just kind of sad that there is not really a decently-sized place to play a good amount of people at, where everyone feels "welcomed" or "invited"... And I totally agree with people needing bigger houses/apartments and taking turns hosting (give back/SUPPORT the scene if you care), LOL-- even 2 "Melty Houses" would be a gift from God <3 TBH, Ky-Sama and I would like to host, if we had more than 2 consoles (2 fairly large TV's, though), more furniture, did not work mostly night-shifts, and if anyone would actually WANT TO come over/play (which would never happen, LOL)...
  22. Really? Thanks for the info, but how unfortunate...They probably should have a had a pre-reg list or something, especially being GG and all...As if I was not already disappointed in the AZ GG scene, LOL... My sister and I probably would have went, if we were actually allowed to have a weekend off before January...
  23. So...what are the results for the Euphoria Tournament (GG)? Assuming enough people entered. Only curious...
