  1. Are people talking trash? LOL...

  2. GG's to everyone that I played at EVO...Sorry for being out of it/a zombie, but things happen...Did not really play a lot of casuals, especially since I was in Marvel pools from 1:00PM-5:30PM-ish, but the quality players that I played were satisfying<3 Jo & A3: Thanks for raping me in the tournament right after coming out of Marvel pools (or was I still in?)..Two of the best Johnnys in the US (IMHO), and I should have used OS against A3, but everyone was telling me not to and I have no idea how to fight Johnny (especially not with Potemkin), anyway. It is always entertaining to see GREAT Johnny players play and I hope that you will keep playing GG, Jo<3 Moroha: I was very happy to have finally play you-- especially your ABA. I wanted to play you badly since last year's EVO, but hopefully, my playstyle did not annoy you too much. It sucked that Inkblot turned off the TV on the start of the 2nd(?) round of our ABA vs. OS match:( :( Good job...Your ABA is still beasting. Blue9: Seriously, though, GG's, I guess I should have altered my combos more/used scrubby SJ combos...I need to learn the May match-up someday:psyduck:, but at least you can block GB now^_^ Stone (?) : GG's in casuals...Thanks for the Johnny practice-- your Johnny was beasting hard! Sorry about playing so sloppy, I needed to leave for a bit. Stryfe & Aria: It was great to see you two again, especially Stryfe, but we never played eachother. Still, Aria's Jam is better than last year, and just please be more patient, work on your blocking, grind your basics and learn your match-ups a bit more-- you are not bad at all:) Stryfe's I-No leveled up as well-- your defense is pretty good now, just please be more patient and consistent; I know it is kind of hard for I-No, though <3 Thanks to the guy who ran the GG singles as well...I really appreciated having one tournament, since Saturday was kind of disappointing, IMO (things happen). The GG community...
  3. Kind of salty about you not going to EVO (was saving a *discounted* spot for you in our room:O -- not that there is a guarantee we will be there, either)...But do your best in this weekend's GG tournament--WIN IT!<3

  4. It sucks that you cannot make it, but things happen...I suppose Jo and Stryfe will have to represent all of us<3
  5. + I agree for the most part, but PO's health+guts alone are no where near enough to make the match-up in his favour, IMO-- in fact, all of the characters who PO loses to have average and/or below average health+guts, IIRC... HF when used correctly, also works fairly well on Sol, as well as 6P, 2HS, HK, etc for his jump ins, AD/IAD-- or you can simply BD>PB, of course (but of course, watch out for FRC'd GF's>IAD, etc). I agree with GV working against PO at times, but no offense but, IMHO, a good/smart PO player would not throw out random 5P's, 6P's, 5S's, 2S's, 5HS's, etc/allow them to be GV'd repeatedly... I also agree with SO's VV being a bit annoying for PO at many times, but as long as the PO player does not put himself at risk of being VV'd, or baits them, that alone or mostly should not be enough to kill him. Also, the D SW loop works on A LOT OF CHARACTERS, even some "smallish" ones-- perhaps not as well as it works on PO, but it still works and does A LOT of damage... From what I have always SEEN, read, and heard, PO has always been known for being one of SO's WORST match-ups, and everytime I watch videos of Japanese high-level play, it is pretty obvious that this is a hard fight for SO-- unless the SO player (players such as Roi, 012, Miu, etc) is really out-playing the PO player, which often happens, even when SO ends up barely losing...LOL. However, it might seem closer to being even on low-mid level play, or when the PO player is playing the match-up incorrectly-- but I am not certain...Still, most of what SO does is potentially PB-bait; he cannot really zone/run away all that well, and how safe is it to WT PO without being PB'd first? But SO also has his ways around PO-- somewhat limited, but has ways, especially since GG is such a balanced game and NO PLAYER should feel discouraged by a match-up. Again, unless we are referring to #R, I totally disagree with PO Vs. SO being only 5.5 in PO's favour-- PO even beats JA, OS, KY and I am CERTAIN that he is supposedly worse for SO than those 3 (not 100% certain about JA, but how bad are her match-ups?). If we are only going up to 6-4, then I will rate it as a 6-4, but I would probably give it a 6.5-3.5 normally, though... Not being biased; SO annoys me when I use PO, but I can understand that I tend to play the match up wrong or simply get out-played (I lose to Ky all the time, but I never/rarely take personal match-up experience into consideration when judging/rating a match-up-- I almost solely base it on high-level play examples, similar opinions from BOTH sides, and kind of the obvious as well). And sorry but this is my first time posting strategy on DL, and I am half-asleep, LOL...
  6. Happy Birthday, Jo^_^<3

  7. Hopefully, there is a side GG event...or two:3 SF is pretty cool; I feel kind of bad about neglecting/kind of giving up SF for Marvel/GG:( You have your hotel and such already? If so, great^_^ LOL, "male infested" indeed...

  8. GG? What GG? LOL, not 100% certain of going due to unhype games...

  9. Hey, hun, are you still going to EVO? If so, please register NOW<3

  10. I am sorry, but may I please ask three questions? 1. Will the players be seeded/seperated by region? Last time, I remember that a few friends/relatives had to play eachother, and they were not very happy about it... However, I assume that if not many out of state players enter, it cannot be helped if friends have to play eachother? 2. Will players be allowed to use team names in the team tournaments? 3. What time will the players be asked to leave (last time, it was around 10:00PM?)? I apologize if these questions have been asked already...Thank you.
  11. Um, not to sound like a know-it-all, but about a week before FR, I had noticed that players were dropping out of MB on a daily basis; however, I did not check the list on Thursday... GG's to everyone that I played at FR (1 week too late FTL)...BTW, Sol is NOT my main. I know that it has been said many times before, but the lack of casuals/hotel matches obviously turned off/irritated many; I just hope that everyone was not too annoyed by me and Ky-Sama's GG set-up, LOL^_^ I never knew that a lack of casuals would cause so many players, including myself to be THAT rusty (dropping obvious, beginner combos ex: SW loop on Potemkin, block strings, etc)...It is a pity that even though I learned A LOT within the last 2-3 months, I played as awfully as I did a year ago, for reasons that I am not 100% certain of (of course, I blame the stick, myself, lack of casuals, but still). I am also VERY sorry if I appeared to be raging a bit over my stick (especially on Friday/Saturday)...It is just awfully irritating to have a stick that causes you to drop easy combos and/or moves, and not being able to dash, IAD and JI well most of the time. However, I still fail to understand why anyone would lose to me, but GG is like that, I suppose. Also, I am very sorry about having so many issues with my stick and holding up the matches..Still, it was great to play so many great players and also gain match up experience-- I truly appreciate it. Heidern98: Thank you so much for everything! It was great to finally see you for the first time since EVO 2008, and thanks again for allowing people to play GG casuals in our room (I wish more people would have played, though)-- you made the event so much better<3 It was also great to finally play your Ky, which is not bad AT ALL....You should seriously begin playing GG again-- your defense is Godlk. And by the way, sorry about playing so badly; it was late, casual and well, I suck (not self-pitying, just saying) <3 JWong: It was nice to see/talk to you again, and congrats on winning so many tournaments, as expected... Your match Vs. Flash was epic, and your few matches were more hype than most of the regular GG players', IMO. I hope to see you at Devastation. TestamentLOL: Thanks you for the games/Slayer match-up experience, you are very good. That Eddie/Ky player that played in our room: Thank you for the games...I honestly did not like your Ky's playstyle very much, but you are a very solid player, and sorry about keeping you up until 5AM-6AM:( SolidPlay: I truly apologize if I offended you by mirror-matching you. I am fully aware of how BS Sol mirrors tend to be, but I left my brain at AZ, so I was doing crazy things all weekend...In the end, the MUCH BETTER player won, and I truly admire your aggressive, solid playstyle <3 Titanium Beast!: ...Again, I apologize if I offended you by mirror matching you-- I have NO IDEA why I did that (since I usually hate mirrors), but at first, it was meant to be a joke. Still, it was a great experience to finally play another OS, especially the BEST OS in the US. GG's. Mak0: You seem to be a kind young man in person, but I was very nervous/shy because of the way that you tend to act online...Heh. Congrats on placing 3rd in teams, and I am very sorry that you had to leave early/drop out of singles:( I wish that we could have played more (my sister wanted to play you), but I suppose it was not meant to be. Take care, son. FrankTheTank: GG's...It was impossible for me to figure out how to damage your May-- she was nearly untouchable for me! Nice win streaks, also. Jan: It was nice to finally meet you. I had no idea you were "Jan" at first, but only one Potemkin can be that good. You and your brother seem like very nice people, and congrats on winning GG^_^ The Baiken player who was willing to team with Ky-Sama and I: Um, I am so sorry if we wasted your time and irritated you; like all of us, you were probably lacking casuals (playing FrankTheTank did not help much, either), so I/we were a bit concerned/were unable to judge your exact skill level until later...In the end, we figured that as a good player, you DESERVED to team up with someone who is also GOOD, that will not hold you back/embarrass you-- so I decided not to enter, period (I suppose Ky-Sama followed, since our skills were awfully lacking). However, I am glad that you eventually found a partner/team, because I was worried. KrazyKorean: Again, I am very sorry if we wasted your time. Your Millia is crazy, but I was worried about how far you/we would get, since my sister and I were/are so ineffective. I truly hope that you eventually found a partner that would not hold you back. GG's in casuals BTW-- you bodied my OS badly, but I knew you were holding back during the last 2 sets that we played. FD: I have no memory of playing you, especially not with Sol, that is, if you used Venom...GG's, though:) Everyone else: GG's everyone, it is good to know that we can still get 50-60 entries for a GG major-- please keep this game alive! BTW, sorry about sitting down/stealing a chair most of the time; I did not feel good. Last but not least, a special thanks to ShinBlanka for personally greeting my sister & I at the Airport, and of course, for making FR possible^_^ Although I cannot say we will be back next year for sure (the lack of hotel casuals was a big, BIG turn-off, few creepy guys, etc), it was a great experience and I have no regrets at all about going. I hope to see and play some of you at Devastation, and/or possibly EVO. Sorry about the long post... Peace.
  12. I did awful at FR...In GG, at least:) I swear my OS looked as bad as he was when I first met you-- even though I learned A LOT since then...Oh well. I will text you ASAP...Sorry about your phone.

  13. Or they can learn the infinites and use them, rather than complaining. Practically every character has some type of infinite (some easier than others, obviously), so I do not understand why anyone, except for a low-level scrub would complain. However, I know this may lead to "the fact that everyone uses the top 4/the top 4 are so hard to beat, which is why marvel is not fun) subject, but all I can say is: there are many other characters who are very usuable ON POINT (Iron Man, Cyclops, Cammy, Doom, Black Heart, Psylocke, Guile, Tron, etc), so no one is forcing anyone to learn the top 4-- you would just need to work harder to win with some of those others (but Magneto & Sentinal are arguably the hardest characters to learn/use, IMO). And IMO, Marvel is VERY complex mainly due to the fact that it is extremely hard to learn/execute most of the advanced tactics (guard canceling, unfly, fastfly, refly, SJ.C infinites that require strict timing, resets, unblockables, and much more) and there seems to be endless possiblities. Marvel is much more than just a hard to learn game that requires GOOD reactions-- there are so many things to do, which keeps it exciting for a long time, IMO. If it were not for Marvel, I would not have been able to learn GG so quickly, IMO. <3 So true:yaaay:
  14. Especially if GG and/or Marvel are there...Speaking of GG, I need to grudge/money match a certain person or two, because of the comments they made (nothing too serious, though); if they do not mind (wanted to do so last year, but last year's EVO was kind of messed up/rushed for me, due to various issues). The car should be in great shape, so we all for going out<3 And I apologize if it has been posted already, but the EVO room rate went live a week ago or so...https://www.signup4.net/Public/ap.aspx?EID=MLGM22E
  15. How can you forget when it has been on SRK forever? Well, I recently registered (about a month ago), since I/we go to GG bi-weekly RanBats (only two more left, though) and plan on going to more GG tournaments before the game dies:( But yes, life has been very busy. Do you plan on going to anymore GG tournaments this/next year (the one at FFA or FR?), or you had your fill, for a while? And as for the sticks, they are no where near perfect (makes random moves come out when jumping in, and still have a bit of dashing trouble), but they are better^_^ Peace<3

  16. Jo<3 Thank you, I wanted to friend you a long time ago, but I assumed you did not want to be "friends" (partially because of my poor performance at EVO:(-- we/our sticks are better now, though). By the way, congrats on the 3rd (or 2nd?) place at CUT2-- we tried our best to make it (would have cheered for you). By the way, do you play #R online-- not that it will ever compare to AC, though. Peace!
