  5. A weakpoint for Tao new to CP that wasn't in previous games is that after Tao uses all 3 of her air actions, her D button is locked and she can't do any drives until she touches the ground. This means that they have to commit more often and old movement patterns no longer work. It is something you need to watch out for and take advantage of cause there isn't much else you can take advantage of.
  6. If Hakumen counters something with his 2D (counter), he will start to do 2D (attack). 2D (attack) is a blockable throw. And it is fully invincible like the frame data says so something must have gone wrong in your set-up in training mode.
  7. lol. I've actually found the opposite to be true for me. I spend the entire match-up in Dia and only go Luna for combos.
  8. You have to react to which version it is to know what to do. You can tell which version she did by seeing how far forward she goes before she launches the fireball. A version comes down directly in front of her. B version comes down about 1.5x Nu backdash distance from Kokonoe. C version comes down almost full screen away from her. The fireball super itself is slightly less than 1 Nu backdash in size. This means if you are 1 backdash length away from her and she does the A super, you can do a D combo and the fireball will completely miss you. You can use this to bait the super against lesser Kokonoe. For example, knockdown the Kokonoe in the corner and stand over her and wait for her to neutral tech. Most Kokonoe with either try to super or teleport out in this situation. If she supers, backdash during the superflash. Both the A version and C version fireballs will whiff (the A version will come down in front of you but won't mess up your combo) so you can do 5DD > 236D > 2AA > stuff to punish her. If she does the B version, you want to either dash forward and punish with 2B or stay where you are and do 5DD > 44. Do the first if she doesn't have a burst. Do the second if she does. Super doesn't disappear if she is hit and if she bursts, she is free to set up a gravitation and control the super's movements. Most Kokonoe stick with A version or C version so you probably won't have to worry about B version until lots of fireball supers get punished. You can also just stand about one backdash distance away from Kokonoe on wake-up and apply pressure that way to avoid fireball super. Legacy Edge does work though to lock her down when she does fireball super though.

  12. Nu mirrors aren't that fun for me. I already know how Nu fights and my opponent also knows how Nu fights. So it becomes a straight guessing game and my gameplay style with Nu doesn't lend fights like that to be fun. I would much rather use a sub or have them use a sub so we can steal match-up knowledge from each other and crush the non-Nu players with D mash. That's kinda of unfair to them since you had 1000+ vs Lambda in Extend. lol. The only reason I don't drop combos is because I only do the basic combos any Lambda/Nu should be able to do.
  13. Don't waste your time. Nu mirrors aren't that entertaining and it would be more worthwhile to fight Nu with your subs so you can actually steal match-up knowledge from them.
  14. GGs Kiros and Errol. I'm liking the Kokonoe vs Rachel match-up more than the Nu vs Rachel match-up right now. That's probably gonna change the next time I fight TD though.
  15. I have zero issues with the game dropping inputs for me. When are we gonna play again? I miss the good old days of when we played.
  16. Why? I can sort of see why against Tao though I think that isn't the answer anymore but Kagura is pretty free to drive zoning (along with heavy gravity usage).
  17. The only two moves faster than 5 frames right now is one of Kagura's supers which is 2 frames and Kokonoe's astral at 4 frames.
  18. Making your neutral so incredibly awesome that you never need to block. Also do easy mode combos. Alternatively, get your reaction speed up so that you can block just fine in a 2 bar. As long as the connection is stable, my defense is typically as good in a 2 bar as it is in a 4 bar. Also we need to play.
  19. GGs MashyKaka. This match-up feels so much tougher than Extend. Winning in neutral is such a pain now. At least I am getting closer to the answer.

  21. Definitely. I'm hoping the entire match-up doesn't end up revolving around whether or not Kagura can land that one move. But now you have that 2D and the amazing drive mix-up. You will do better next time.
  22. GGs everyone I played in the arcade lobby. Don't understand why people would ever stand in a line though to get a match. I agree. Tsubaki's jC got really tough to deal with in this game.

  24. I clash drives a lot intentionally in my matches, before the opposing Nu become more wary. I'm also not sure what you mean by making Luna use an air drive. I take a defensive approach with Luna and wait for the Dia to make a move. I rarely use a drive in the air except to punish something.
